I checked my face for the third time in the mirror. I already covered it with a thick concealer, but the shadow of my bruises still visible. I hope he wouldn’t mind even if l look like hell right now.  I have a meeting with Mr. Sanders today. He will check my designs and send them to their main office to send contracts for me. That’s what I’ve been waiting for, a job that I love and permanently.  “Where are you going?” Matthew asked me who’s leaning on the door frame.  “I have an interview for a job I was waiting to call since last week.” I cringe when he comes near me.
