"Mum!!! Bryan is cheating again," Ryan's voice ranged out from the playing room. Soon enough, they both ran towards me in my bedroom which also acts as my office, just like today. "Mum, Bryan cheated. This is the second time'', Ryan reported. I looked at my sons, they looked heavenly. They were identical twins and were perfect five year olds. Light skinned, golden blonde hair and crystal blue eyes; the only way to identify Bryan and Ryan is their attitude, Ryan is cool headed and thoughtful, Bryan is tough and hot-headed. I loved them with my entire heart, they were my world. I recalled how I conceived such perfect children. It was five years ago and I was at my lowest point emotionally. I had a good job as a make up artist for a big entertainment company, fright. I was 22 years old and had the worse luck when it came to men and dating. After my 22nd birthday and my fourth break up. I decided to give up on love. What did I need a man for? I was never a sexually active person so I could survive without that, kids can provide companionship and love, I had a stable career and enough money financially. I knew I wanted children but without a man, that would be Impossible, so I thought of a way. I had a close friend, Eve. She was one of my closest friends and very open to ideas without judging so I told her about my plan. She supported me, she told me, she'll think of something. I didn't want any attachments with any man so she had to find a man who won't care about the children. After a couple of months, I had given up on the idea of having children when Eve called me excited. "I have found something that will help you out" She literally screamed in my ear. "What are you talking about?" I had completely forgotten about the idea. "Just get yourself over here", She said. I drove myself to her house and saw her outside, she was waiting for me. She was very impatient, she pulled me indoors and into her dining room. On the dining table, an ice bucket filled with ice was sitting there, I looked inside and saw a bag with a white fluid in it. I was confused, I looked back at her and she was staring at me expectedly. "Yayy, you got an ice bucket" I said confused. Eve gave me the are you kidding me right now look. "You don't remember you wanted to get pregnant a couple of months back?" She asked desperately, "I do now. What has that got to do with your ice bucket?" Eve sighed in desperation. "Your children are in that ice bucket" I looked at her waiting for clarification. "I got some sperm, you have to do the rest yourself. Also, the sperm costs $1,200 dollars." I was shocked. My friend is dealing in sperm now? "What? Don't stare at me like that. I just got connected with someone. It's a one time thing" "And you're sure this will work?" "If used at the right time" Eve smiled. I paid her the money. I waited some weeks before I used the sperm, I had to make sure I was fertile enough. Surely it worked. I discovered I was pregnant two months later. I was elated but my family was never happy. My parents disapproved of my pregnancy because they didn't know who the father was. My mum said, he could be a lunatic and the genes may be passed down to his children but it was my children. They were growing inside me so they were mine. It was hard the first couple of months, in and out of the hospital, I had a lot of health issues and I was afraid my babies won't reach full term, I also got kicked out of my parents house because I didn't want to abort my children. I had to get an apartment and still maintain my job. At long last, I gave birth to the two cutest baby boys in the world. They were glowing from birth. I knew at that moment that all my stress was worth it. "So mum, isn't that cheating?", Ryan asked at the verge of tears. I remembered they were arguing over a game. I took the car from Bryan and gave it to Ryan. "It's his turn, Bryan. You should always look out for your brother. Don't cheat him, support him instead. You're older with a minute". Bryan started sulking but Ryan patted his head. "Now, hug it out boys and say you love each other" They both hugged and apologized. "I love you Ryan." I love you Bryan". They quickly ran out of my room, the same way they came in laughing and ready for another game. I wonder where they get their energy from, they never stop except when they're sleeping.
