I arrived at the old warehouse, my heart racing with anticipation. The note had been cryptic, but I had a feeling that this meeting could be the break we needed in the case. As I entered the dimly lit building, I saw a figure in the shadows.
"Hello, Kelvin," she said, stepping forward. "My name is Allisa Morian. I've been waiting for you."
Allisa was a mysterious woman with piercing green eyes. She told me that she was one of Mr. Sandman's victims, but she had managed to escape with his help. That's why Alexan had killed him, she claimed.
But just as Allisa was about to reveal more, I noticed a figure lurking in the shadows. I tried to run, but the man in black was too quick. He raised his g*n, and I thought it was all over.
But then, Tweeny appeared out of nowhere, tackling the man to the ground. The g*n went off, but thankfully, no one was hit.
As we caught our breath, I warned Tweeny about being too reckless. But he just grinned, happy to have saved my skin.
"We make a good team, Kelvin," he said, clapping me on the back.
But as we left the warehouse, I couldn't shake off the feeling that we were being watched. And I knew that our investigation was far from over.
As I sat by Tweeny's hospital bed, I couldn't help but think about Mira, the young girl who had shot him. She was the step-daughter of Don Pope Francis, one of the most powerful men in town. I had suspected that she was trouble, but I had no idea she was connected to the case.
I decided to pay Don Pope Francis a visit, to confront him about his step-daughter's involvement. But when I arrived at his mansion, I was met with a surprise.
"Ah, Kelvin," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "I've been expecting you. You're just in time to join us for dinner."
I was hesitant, but my curiosity got the better of me. I followed him into the dining room, where Mira was sitting, looking like the perfect innocent.
"So, Kelvin," Don Pope Francis said, as we sat down to eat. "I hear you've been asking questions about my business dealings. I assure you, everything is perfectly legitimate."
But I knew better. I knew that he was hiding something, and I was determined to find out what.
