Bringing the princess home

EMMALINE!! Hurry! You have to get her to safety. The rouges are too strong. Alex I can’t just leave her here.. I’m sorry Cora you have to leave her it’s her only chance to survive. Cora left Emmaline hidden at a nearby orphanage. It was the only way to save her from the rouges attacking the pack. Emmaline was to be the princess of the dark woods pack. Alex and Cora had to fight the rouges off and said their final goodbyes to their daughter. There screams filled the forest before all fell quiet. Emmalines cries filled the sky. The ladies at the orphanage heard her and quickly brought her in. Unaware of her history they raised her as human. Present Day Sarah: Emmaline! I’m sorry happy to see you! Sarah, Emmalines best friend came bouncing happily towards her. How do you feel finally being 16 years old? Emmaline: It’s just another day really. I just wish I could finally get out the orphanage and see the world for more than just these walls. Sarah: I’m sure you’ll get out one day. You can’t stay locked in here forever. Emmaline: I’m going to sneak out tonight but please you absolutely cannot tell anyone. Last time I tried to sneak out I had chores for months. Sarah: I won’t tell anyone but please be careful. You don’t know what’s out there and what if you see a wolf. You know what they say about them. They will rip you to shreds before you can even speak. Emmaline: I will be careful. I just have to see something besides the orphanage. Besides I’ve been drawn to these woods for a while. It’s like the moon is calling me. Sarah: Those stories are really getting to you. We need to find you another hobby haha. Emmaline: I’m serious Sarah! It’s like I’m meant to be somewhere else. I’m going to find out why. Later that night Emmaline prepared to sneak out after bed checks were made. She got a bag together and filled it with anything she may need while she’s out. After bed checks were completed she took out her ladder she had made earlier that day and attached it to the bed so it wouldn’t fall. She climbed down and ran towards the woods. The sky was so beautiful. Every star lit up like a chandelier. The air was different from the orphanage. It was fresh and filled with pine. Emmaline marched further through the woods before she heard a voice near a lake. She hid so no one would see her. Curious she watched the man. Xavier: We have to figure out where the rouges are headed next. If they can find us before we find them they could go after our pack next. I have to do whatever I can to keep them safe. Emmaline stared as she realized she had come across one of the most prominent packs in the area. The blood moon pack. Trying to get away she stepped back breaking a twig beneath her. Xavier: What was that? Sam, let’s split up and check it out. If that was rouge we need to get to them before they find us. Emmaline started running to get away from Xavier before he thought the was a rouge. She ran into a hole and fell to the ground. Blood pooled from her head as she slowly went black. Xavier: Sam call the medic! I found someone. She’s unconscious we need to bring her back to base. Sam: What if she’s a rouge? We’d put the whole pack at risk Xavier: I don’t believe she is. Look her bag it’s from the orphanage in town. Sam: What is she even doing out here. Don’t they teach them it’s dangerous to come out. Xavier: I don’t know but I do know she needs help now. Emmaline woke up in the hospital of the blood moon pack. A nurse came in to check her vitals. Emmaline: Where am I? Nurse: You’ve had a bad fall so our alpha brought you to the hospital. Don’t get up too fast I don’t want you to get worse. You need fluids. Emmaline: I’m sorry I can’t stay I need to go home. Nurse: I’m on strict orders not to let you leave. Xavier walks in to check on Emmaline. Xavier: Look who’s finally awake. Sneaking out like that could’ve got you killed. What business did you have being out in that forest. Emmaline: I just wanted to see something besides the orphanage. I’ve always been drawn to the moon and to that forest. Ever since I was a kid it felt like it was apart of me. I didn’t mean to cause trouble. I need to go now before they notice I’m gone. Xavier: I’m afraid I can’t let you go. Not until I know you aren’t a rouge that’s trying to play the pack. You are going to have to stay by me. Xavier takes another look at Emmaline. Her Blue eyes and curly brown hair made her look so innocent. At the same time she looked so familiar to him. Did he know who she was? It couldn’t be she’s just a human. Xavier: Whats your name anyway? I never asked you. Emmaline: My name is Emmaline but you can call me Em for short. Xavier: Sam, I need you to prepare Emmalines room immediately. She’s going to stay here for a while until I know we can trust her. Sam: Yes alpha. I’m on it. Emmaline: So I suppose I should thank you for saving me. Xavier: Don’t worry about it. I couldn’t leave you out there to die I’m not heartless. Emmaline was shocked at Xavier’s words. Everything she had ever been taught was that wolves were bad. Xavier didn’t seem to be bad at all. Something about him was different. His eyes had softened since last night. They were deep emerald green and so hard to not look at. His dark hair glistened in the light. Something about him told me I could trust him. Xavier went back to his room after Emmaline was released. He kept thinking how he had to know her from somewhere. Those blue eyes shine only one other girl he’d seen before. It wouldn’t be the same girl from all those years ago. 16 years ago now Alex and Cora lost their daughter when a pack of rouges attacked their village. They left her outside a building to protect her and hid her from everyone. I was just a few years old learning to help protect the pack. After the war Alex and Cora came by to help us come up with a plan to protect the pack from more rouges. Without their insight the pack wouldn’t be here. Xavier changed and went to check on Emmaline. He peaked through the door to see her lying on her bed dressed in a pink nightgown the maids had left for her. She looked so peaceful curled up like that. I knocked to let her know I was there. Emmaline sat up and waved me in. EMMALINES POV Xavier knocked on the door to come in. I had just gotten settled for the night. The maids had laid a beautiful night gown on the bed. We never had anything this nice at the orphanage. Most of our clothes were donated and usually too big or too small. No one cared about us enough to buy anything. After all we were throw away children. Nobody cared or loved us. The bed felt like a warm cloud and the sheets were made of silk. The room itself was gorgeous with a big window overlooking the forest.
