Chapter 24: Marcus Hits
Lyra's point of view
The air was thick with tension even though the sun was just coming up. It felt like the trees were leaning in and listening, making the camp feel smaller and more cramped. There was something wrong. I could feel it in every nerve, every twitch of my wolf, and every quiet pull in the bond between Raine and me.
One of my guards whispered, "Luna," in a hurry. "You need to look at this."
He gave me a piece of parchment that was torn, hastily written, and already wet from the rain.
The Luna is working with Marcus behind the scenes. The Alpha's mate is no longer loyal to her pack. When the time comes, she will betray you.
