Herlin woke up alone in bed. She glanced around to gind her bedroom in disarray, and the clothes she had worn the night before no longer covered her body. She awoke with only a blanket draped over her elegant frame. "Robert" Herlin looked around. The room was eerily silent, even the bathroom emitted no sound. Wrapping heeself in the blanket she got up, and walked towarf the bathroom. "Robert where are you?" She called out loudly from the bathroom. But there waa no response Whooosh A sudden rush of wind brushed past her back causing her to instinctively turn around. And there he was_Robert, Already neatly dressed. Herlin instinctively swallowed hard. "Where have you been?" The man stared back at her with an angry glare. "You!" He snapped, his voice sharp, enough to make her flinch. "You are not Rosalina!' Herlin's eyes widened in shock "I've tried to explain this to you from the star, but you kept assuming I was your woman." Thud Pressed Herlin roughly against the wall. "You've ruined a thousand years of my waiting." His sharp blue eyes burned wit fury. Making Herlin tremble as she, watched his face slowly morph into something unfamiliar, something hairy_like a wolf. "I'm sorry, but I have to kill you," he threatened. Herlin gasped, fear gripping her. She struggled to break free and attempted to. But Roberi blocked her. He grabbed her arm harshly and threw her onto the bed. "This isn't entirely my fault! You refuser to listen to me last night. Please don't kill me, Robert. I nees to see my Father in the Hospital." "I have no choice, you can't leave her. You've discovered the werewolves' lair, you can't just walk away." "But I don't care! I truly don't care Robert. I wont make any claims about what happened to me last night, I'll consider it my Happiness," Robert furrowed his brow, staring at her in bewilderment. "I'm foolish, Robert. I feel in love wit you the momy we had our firs date." "You don't know who I am! I'm an Alpha. I've lived for a thousand years. I can't return to my pack because i must find Luna here. She sacrificed herself and will be reborn, and this time I failed! I failed to take her back ftom the Vampirees after her second birth!" He explained. Herlin remained silent, her eyes locking deeply onto his. "Is mone like you forbidden to be mine?" Robert froze, suddenly feeling awkward and caught off guard "You're human!" He asserted, his voice faltering slightly. "I don't even have anyone," Herling relplied softly. Robert let out a heavy sigh. "It would take another thousand. Years for you to find your Luna. My life spans only about seventy years. I want to be with you," she said again, leaving Robert silent, lost in thought. Robert remained silent for quite some time, contemplating Herlin’s proposal. Eventually, they came to an agreement. "Alright, where should I take you?" the man asked in a low tone. "For now, I need to go to a hospital in the city," she replied. "Can you promise me that you won’t tell anyone about what happened tonight?" "Yes, I promise, Robert. I’m just so happy to have met you," she said softly. Robert sighed in relief. "Starting today, all your movements will be monitored by my subordinates, so don’t try anything reckless," he warned. Herlin nodded with a faint smile. When they arrived at the hospital, Herlin saw her father being treated intensively by the doctors. "It’s been two days, and no family has come to visit him. Such a poor man," she overheard a nurse say inside the room. Knock, knock, knock. The sound of a knock on the door interrupted them. Herlin asked for permission to visit her father. "Who are you?" the nurse asked. "I’m Mr. Hilson’s daughter," she replied. "Oh, really? He’s been asking about your mother since yesterday. Where’s his wife?" Herlin lowered her gaze for a moment. Even in his critical condition, her father wasn’t missing her. "My mother has passed away. Perhaps he’s referring to another wife. I don’t even know her," Herlin said. "Oh, I see. Well, go ahead." Herlin approached her father, who was lying on the hospital bed. "Father, I’ve come because it’s my responsibility as your daughter. I have no one else left in this world. Can you hear me?" Her question was met with silence. Hilson didn’t respond. Wiping her tears, Herlin left the hospital. She thought she might stay in the city until her father recovered, but she had no one here. Skrrt... A car screeched to a halt in front of her. Herlin looked up and saw the same man she had spent the night with driving a luxurious car. His casual style and dark sunglasses gave him a polished appearance. "Robert?" "Where are you going?" he asked. "I… I don’t know where to go," she replied. "Don’t you have a home here?" She shook her head. "Get in the car," he said. She hesitated before stepping into the vehicle. "Where are you planning to go?" "Maybe find an inn," Herlin answered nervously. "Do you have money?" She nodded uncertainly. "This is all I have left," she admitted. Robert glanced at her bag’s contents and let out a soft chuckle. "So, you’re that poor," he teased. Herlin lowered her head, feeling both embarrassed and awkward. "Come stay at my place," he offered. Herlin turned to him, her eyes lighting up with surprise. "Really? You don’t mind?" The man didn’t reply, keeping his focus on the road as he drove. Throughout the drive, Herlin couldn’t stop staring at Robert’s face. She felt that Robert was indeed a possessive man, but he needed to be more gentle with women other than Luna, his destined mate. Perhaps Herlin couldn’t win his heart right now. But she was determined to try because, for her, Robert was the only man she had ever truly met in her life. "Why do you keep looking at me?" Herlin adjusted her posture and turned her gaze forward. "I like your eyes," she replied spontaneously. Robert chuckled softly. "But to me, they’re a curse. I hate the blue color that’s so characteristic of werewolves," he said. "Does that mean everyone with blue eyes is a werewolf?" Herlin asked innocently. Robert nodded. "Have you ever seen one before?" "Maybe I’ve come across them, but I’ve never seen blue eyes as beautiful as yours," she replied. Robert laughed again, this time with a hint of awkwardness. "Thank you, oh Ya.. whats your name?" He said "I am Herlin,"
