During that time, the divine warriors protected the people of Star Kyrios from the terrifying demons who sought to seize the Pride Gaia of Soul, the very essence of the Spirit of Hope. The Pride Gaia of Soul was an extraordinary source of energy that granted its wielder unimaginable power. With it, one could either bring absolute destruction upon all things or wield an overwhelming amount of magical power that no one could ever hope to overcome. Whoever possessed this sacred power would essentially become the one who controlled the very laws and principles governing the world. However, one fateful day, one of the Heavenly Warriors betrayed his comrades and seized the power for himself. During the devastating conflict known as the Sonia Night War, he fought against and slaughtered all nine of the remaining Heavenly Warriors. Yet, something remained untouched by this tragedy. The Spirits of Gaia Gear, which resided within the personal weapons of the nine fallen warriors, had survived. Even after their masters had fallen, these ancient spirits continued to exist, waiting for new successors worthy of inheriting their powers. Their ultimate purpose was to find those chosen individuals who could carry on the legacy of the Ten Gaia and reclaim the power that had been stolen. Only then could peace and prosperity finally return to the land of Star Kyrios once more.
