Goodbye, for now

Oracle's P.O.V.          I stared at the young woman next to me. Ever since my visions started at the age of 15, no one had been able to get anywhere near me without being shocked by a mysterious force that surrounds me.         Nowhere in any of my visions did I see anyone being able to come near me again. That's why I had decided to go to the Council willingly. I thought that I could make my gift somewhat useful and push away the loneliness by surrounding myself with others who were just as powerful.         I looked at the Council, seeing them staring at us in shock. They were just as surprised as I was. They had tried everything to help me control and get past the force for several years, but nothing had worked.         Finally looking back at her, I noticed that she had her head tilted curiously, looking at me with confusion.         "What do you mean? I didn't do anything?" she asked.         Shaking my head, I replied, "You touched me, though."         Her eyebrows furrowed, and she shook her head, clearly not understanding.         "I have had a force around me that hasn't let anyone come closer than a foot from me since I was 15. No one has ever been able to touch me before." I told her.         Her mouth formed an 'oh', and she shrugged, clearly not concerned with this new development.  Sibyl's P.O.V.         With a shrug, I just smiled at her. I could tell by her expression that this was something big for her, but I didn't have time to delve further into it right now. I patted her back reassuringly and stood up.          "So, what happens now?" I asked, turning to Electra. She seemed to be the most put together of the group.         "I suppose we should begin your training... We didn't truly believe that you would be so accepting." she replied.         "What about my family?" I asked, more concerned about them than myself.         She seemed to have forgotten about them because her eyes flashed over to them quickly before she looked back at me.          "You will stay here, with us, to train for your position. Your family will be sent back to their home." she replied.         "When will I be able to see them again?" I asked.         "I don't know if that's a good idea right now. What if she doesn't come back?" asked the Werewolf.         "I doubt that the young one would risk that, Muraco. Wouldn't you agree Achmetha?" said Adriano.         They were both looking at me in a predatory manner, but I didn't even flinch. I had made my decision and I would stick with it. My parents had always told me to keep my promises, and they taught me to always stick with my decisions, no regrets.         There was a tense silence as we all waited to see what the others would do. Teresa was looking between them all and her small size next to theirs was almost comical. She scoffed in disdain and threw them all a dirty look before she marched up to me.         I tensed, my eyes narrowing as I prepared for some sort of attack. A wide smile spread across her face, her eyes twinkling with merriment as she threw her arms around me.         "It's so nice to meet you! I'm truly sorry about all the theatrics, but these guys are way too serious for their own good. I told them that we could just TALK to you, but NO! We have to show our power! Instill fear so that everyone will fall in line. I'm Teresa by the way. I'm a nymph, if you hadn't already noticed." she giggled at her little joke before continuing.         "So, let me introduce you to everyone else, I know they're far too impolite to do it themselves. This is Electra, she's an Elf. High born, a Queen if you will. Don't let her cold demeanor fool you though, she's a big softy. This is Muraco, or resident Werewolf, he's the King of Werewolves, super powerful, tough on the outside and the inside. Takes him a while to open up to people. The big scary looking guy with red eyes is Adriano. I've never seen him smile, but then again, he's a Vampire, so he never shows emotion. And finally, there's Achmetha. I think he's the most serious of all of them. Nothing amuses him, he's pretty ruthless in everything. He's a Ghoul."          When she finished showing me everyone, she turned back to me, "Now, what's your name my dear?"         "Sibyl." I responded.         She nodded and grabbed my hands, holding me at arms length. "You are just the prettiest thing ever! I hope we can be great friends!"         I tried to smile in response but I could tell that she saw right through it.         With a small pout, she told me, "Come on now. Don't be like that. There's nothing to be nervous about. I'm sure that you'll fly through your training. You'll be collecting souls before you know it!"         I laughed at her joke, my smile becoming more genuine. "Okay. I suppose I should say goodbye to my family while I still have the chance."         She nodded, letting my hands go so I could go to my parents. They engulfed me in a hug, squeezing me tightly, and tears gathered in my eyes. I blinked them back, not wanting them to see how much it hurt me to say goodbye.          I wanted to be brave for them. I NEEDED to be strong for them, because I knew how close my mother was to completely falling apart. "It's okay, guys. I'll be fine. I promise that I'll come see you as soon as I can. I'll write to you everyday. I don't want you to worry about me. Just please, take care of each other."         My mother gave me a watery smile, sniffling and nodding in response. I dried her tears and gave her a bright smile, letting her know that everything was fine. My father's face was grim, and I could tell that he was trying to come up with a way to get me out of this.         Steeling my eyes, I gave him a look saying wordlessly that he needed to let it go and focus on mom. Helen was worrying her hands nervously, her eyes flashing between all the faces of the Council.          She was tense, and I knew that something other than the situation was bugging her. Her eyes kept lingering on Muraco, who was staring at her like she was prey. When I made my way next to her, he let out a threatening growl and I saw a shiver rack Helen's body.         Her eyes flashed to me and I immediately knew that she was his mate. My eyes widened for a moment before I smiled at her. Seeing my smile seemed to relax her slightly. I knew that she had dreaded finding her mate. Being a rogue, everything would change when they were mated.          If his pack didn't accept her, then he may reject her or even become a rogue himself. She didn't want to make anyone choose that. Who knows what would happen now that it was revealed she was mated to the KING of Werewolves.         "It's time to send them back, young one." Adriano told me, his voice not as chilly as it was before.         I nodded, giving them all one final hug before stepping back. They huddled together, waiting to be transported but Muraco's deep rumbling voice interrupted.          "The she-wolf stays. We need to talk."          Fear flashed in Helen's eyes before she looked down in defeat. She was left standing alone when my parents were transported home. Her body tensed as he started towards her and I was surprised when a low growl erupted from my throat.         Muraco looked at me in surprise, a small amused smile on his lips. I wasn't joking though, as I told him in a low, dangerous voice, "Be careful with my Godmother. If you hurt her in ANY way, I will end you."         Rather than being offended at the threat, he nodded, bowing slightly before offering his hand to Helen. She looked at it wearily for a moment before accepting and they walked out of the room together.         I stared after them until someone cleared their throat to get my attention.
