How it all began
Third person P.O.V. The house was filled with the screams of a woman and the urgent hushed comforting words of a man. "Push! You have to push, right now Amelia!" he urged Amelia screamed as another contraction wracked her body. She had never felt such pain before. There had been no time to rush to the hospital, and the midwife was doing the best she could. "Come on dear, you need to push." Helen, the midwife, said softly. With a sharp, deep breath, Amelia pushed with all her might before falling back on the bed feeling dizzy. Fredrick looked down at her, his brow furrowed. He could tell that she was exhausted. He was determined to get her through this. Whether it killed her was still to be seen. A human woman giving birth to the offspring of a Incubus was something unheard of. He shook his head at the thought of her death. He wouldn't let it happen, he would have both his bride and his child. There was no alternative, he wouldn't have it.  "Please, my love. Push just a few more times and it will all be over. I know you're tired, but I need you to do this. For me, for us, for our child." he urged. His words seemed to give her some strength, she pushed again with a shrill scream. He looked towards Helen for any sign that this was working. She didn't look up, simply saying, "Amelia, two more big pushes. I can almost see the head!" Amelia forced herself to draw strength from her weary limbs, pushing with all her might. "It's coming! Almost there! One more push!" Helen shouted over Amelia's screams. Amelia drew in as much air as possible, pushing the child out with all the effort she could manage.         The room was silent for a split second before the high pitch wail of an infant filled the room. Giving a brief glance at his child, Fredrick brought his attention to Amelia, brushing her hair off her sweat covered forehead before laying a kiss there tenderly. Her breathes were shallow and he could hear her heart still beating too rapidly. Placing both hands on either side of her face, he leaned in, pressing his lips to hers, using his power to lightly draw out the ill effects of having drained herself. Her heartbeat returned to normal, her breaths evening out. He pulled away to look at her and saw a sweet, serene smile on her face. "Where is he? Where's our baby?" she asked. "Right here, dear. Meet your daughter." Helen replied, carrying over the wrapped bundle and gently placing it on her chest. "A girl?" was their shocked reply. Helen simply nodded, turning to clean up the remainder of the mess, leaving the small family alone. Fredrick was afraid to look inside the blanket. There had never been a female born to an Incubus before. Succubus were created in another way. Although they had similar traits, Incubi were created by Satan, they were the closest this to sons that he had. It was thought that Succubi, were a failed attempt by Satan to create mates for the Incubi. They were too much like the Incubi, only caring to draw out male essence, not feeling the draw to stay loyal and mate with the Incubi. They were eerily beautiful, able to attract the attention of every male around. Fredrick was afraid to look at his child, afraid that because she was natural bore, and not created, there would be something wrong with her. Amelia had no such feelings. She carefully sat up, cradling her child closely to her chest, slowly pulling the blanket back to reveal her daughters face. She was mesmerized, letting out a small gasp. The small cherub face of her daughter was pink, her eyes had been closed until the blanket had been pulled back. Her irises were a striking violet, speckled with blue and gold. Her lashes long and thick, eyebrows not too thick, not too thin, arched perfectly. Her mouth had tiny, deep red lips, that looked bow shaped. She was the most beautiful thing that Amelia had ever seen, aside from Fredrick of course. Amelia was so engrossed in her child, she hadn't noticed Fredrick's reaction. He had drawn in a sharp ragged breath, mesmerized by the life that they had created. He had lived for over 500 years before he had found his bride. In all those years, he had seen countless immortal children being born. Werewolves, Vampires (yes they can reproduce), shifters of all kinds. And although they were all preternaturally beautiful, his daughter was even more than that. All worries he had of her not being normal, were pushed to the back of his mind. As a wave of euphoria washed over him, he told himself he would worry about it later. He had his family to worry about now.
