Chapter 17: The Token Morgan sat for several minutes in the gathering dusk, staring at the open door through which the eagle had flown. There it was—the ultimate choice: to serve the People, possibly without the benefit of James’ love and the gifts of the Wolf Spirit, or turn away from his duty to his heritage for the sake of the love of a man.
