One sunny afternoon Morgan and James were walking in the forest. James was telling Morgan The Tale of the Seven Grandfathers.
“Gitche Manitou gave the seven grandfathers, who are very wise, the responsibility to watch over the People. The People weren’t doing so well. They were living a hard life. There was all kinds of sicknesses, fighting, and bad things around. They weren’t treating each other in a way that pleased Gitche Manitou. So, the Great Spirit gave each of the grandfathers a teaching to share with the People to improve their life. These became the Way of life for us.
“The seven teachings are on Love, Respect, Honesty, Truth, Wisdom, Bravery, and Humility. Each is represented by an animal.”
