~ Jaelyn "Wait!" A deep, raspy voice boomed through the entire hall. "How can I help you, sir?" The boss questioned. A man in his early-twenties emerged from the shadows. I couldn't yet see his features clearly since I was worn out and my vision was blurry. He had an aura of confidence mixed with arrogance. "I have an offer for you. You give me that girl, in return, I'll cash you a million dollar." He raised an eyebrow, waiting for the boss' answer. It was unrefusable offer. "Are you blind or something? Can't you see that I've bought her, already." The old man spoke, roughly. "Sorry, sir, she has been sold." The boss said, defending the old man. He grinned in victory, while the other buyer seemed like he still had some cards to pull. "What if I told you that I would higher the price, to two million dollars?" The boss' jaw dropped and looked at me with utter shock, probably didn't expect that I would make him earn two million dollars. "Deal sealed." The boss stated. "Great. I want her now." Just like a barbie toy, the old, rusty man threw me at my new buyer. "You do not know who I am! You made a terrible mistake, buddy. Only wait till I put my hands on her. Soon, you're going to regret coming here at the first place." With that, the old man walked away. "Yep, definitely a psychopath." My buyer muttered under his breath. Just after he said that I looked at his face, scanning his incredibly handsome features. He had jet black hair and brown hazel eyes, which in my opinion fit perfectly with his well-sculpted face and his flawless jawline and cheekbone. He was unfairly attractive. I lowered my gaze instantly when he caught me staring, trying to act cool as possible. "Here is your money, let me get out of here." He spun on his heels, making his way towards the exit. I picked up my pace and followed closely behind. Trying to walk as fast as my limping legs could carry me to catch up to his quick pace. Walking through the dark streets with a stranger, not knowing what he was going to do to you, wasn't the best feeling. A mixed sensation of awkwardness and confusion was taking over me... but for some reasons I was feeling satisfied, keeping in my mind that I'd faced much worse, during my stay in there. I wandered the streets with my eyes since I had been imprisoned a whole year, waiting to be sold. I missed the sight of civilization! My eyes caught a black range rover parked across the street. It was obvious that the car was his since we were heading towards it. He opened the car door for me, to get in, and so I did. He climbed next to me and closed the door, nodding for the driver to go. He started up the car and drove straight into the woods. The time passed slowly, I was getting more exhausted, due to the lack of sleep and many other things. I wonder how he didn't take notice of that. "So tell me cupcake, what's your name?" "What is my name?" I repeated. My sound came out as a muffled whisper. It was hoarse and raspy, as a result of not speaking for a long while. But for real, I never knew my name! Or even bothered to ask. "I..." I trailed off not sure what to say. He tapped his foot on the floor impatiently, waiting for my stupid answer. "You what?" He raised an eyebrow, he did that a lot. Maybe it was a habit that he had. "I don't know!" I admitted. He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "You know, I paid a lot for you so, I expect you to be a good, obedient little girl, that does not tell lies." I nodded slowly. Changing the subject he said, "When was the last time you slept?" I gave him a confused look. "I mean look at your red, puffy eyes. It explains everything." Unconsciously, I raised my hand to touch my eyes. Just as I touched them, I felt the expected pain. In an instant move, I ripped my hand off, whining quietly. "What's wrong?" He asked. "I think, I just need some sleep." I lied, sinking deep into my seat, and leaning my head back. I let myself relax, falling into a deep, comfortable sleep, that I hadn't had in a long time. *** My eyes fluttered open, as soon as I felt someone's hand shaking me softly. I focused my eyes, to see my buyer's face in front of mine. It took me a moment to recall things happen before my sleep. "Wake up!" He whispered, smoothly. He met my gaze, staring deeply into his piercing hazel eyes that hid many secrets behind them. He broke our gaze saying, "I have three main rules for you to follow. They are simple ones, but if you break them, you'll receive punishments. Got it?" He raised an eyebrow waiting for an answer. I nodded. "First off, I want you to accept the fact that I didn't buy you to be a slave as they taught you before. I bought you because I wanted an obedient little girl. Do you hear?" I stared at him silently waiting for him to say what he wanted to say. "Focus on what I'm about to say!" He paused for a minute, then continued. "First rule: Never try lying to me, because I'll effortlessly discover your lie. Alright?" He simply said. I did what I always do. I nodded. "Second rule, and the obvious one: Do as I tell you. Do not quarrel with me, please. I think you already knew that. Am I right?" I nodded again. "Moving on... Third rule: Do not attempt to run away, or I'll plug a tracker inside of you." "That's it for now. Understand?" "Yes..." "My name is Alejandro, but you can call me Alex for short." "Okay Alex." "Good girl."
