"bros congratulations maami told me hajia had agreed" ikram sat few inches to him. He didn't even heard her.
"what's up bro" she tapped him. He raised his head slowly and look at her. "whats wrong with you, i think you are supposed to be happy " "have you heard the condition "? He raised an eyebrow.
"what was it"? She asked. "i will marry her with the intention of adding another wife, a girl of hajias choice after a year". "leave that hajia, she's gonna forget about that by then, now call jiddah for us" ikram smiled.
"i lost the number " he spoke in cracks. "as in?" ikram asked. "i splashed alot of water on it and the water wiped up the numbers"
"oh my God " she palmed her face. "you know what is worrying me? " "no say it". "jiddah might think i refuse to call her deliberately " "not actually, she may consider you". " i pray so".

"mummy gist me about your life even if its in form of fairy tale " jiddah whined.
"okay wait, my name is maryam, i live alone and one day God gifted me a baby girl who i named after my mother, hauwa and i call her jiddoh and she wants to fancy with her name, so she told people her name is jiddah"
Jiddah laughed. But something caught her attention›› she was named after her grand mother. That's another question for another day, she marked it. The other day jt was about a photograph of someone she don't know who was it.
"mummy when are you willing to tell me all about you, i mean us"
"when you got a husband who doesn't care to know, i will let him know before marrying you off to him" she answered her.
Jiddah interpreted what her mother mean. She mean someone who will never judge her based on what he see and hear just like baffa, because his mother heard that Jiddah's father was unknown to the community, she cancelled the wedding when it was a few days. And Muhammad, he once told her that she's not his class when they fought. And that clearly means he's judging her base on something she didn't have a slight idea of how it happens. What he meant was she was fatherless. One problem he has is, when he's angry he found it difficult to control his tongue and later he regrets. Have he not know that, the best of mankind, our noble prophet advised us to control our tongue and let's not be angry?

"what are you trying to tell me"? Dr ameen, Muhammad's old best friend asked. They met at the mall last weekend when Muhammad took ikram there. He was his friend back then but they lose each other's contact. It was after they had reminisced about the past for the past days, Muhammad told him about his issue with jiddah. His friends' wedding had been fixed, it will be in just two months.
"am telling you that's what my grand mum said, i know how persistent she could be on things i don't even know where to start from, i had broke Jiddah's heart once, and i don't want that again just a year after our marriage, you know she will never agree that it wasn't on purpose " Muhammad finished massaging his knuckles.
Ameen heaved a little sigh "why don't you act like a man, you are still a boy"
"i don't think i got you"
"what caused you break her heart at the first place, I'm telling you this girl loves you if not she would have walked away since. Don't you know a woman is to be treated like the queen she is? Don't you know that women had been described as 'eggs' so soft and tender which deserve nothing but care? A real man treats his woman as a priority not an option please" dr ameen adverted his gaze sideways.
"it was this" muhammad stuck his tongue out and held it.
"then know how to control it, if you can't, i can offer a surgery to cut it off free of charge " dr ameen bellowed with a stern look.
"sorry dr" he scratched his nape.
"don't do that to me, your sorry is for her" he spoke still angry at Muhammad for hurting a woman. Dr ameen, lost his mother when he was only a teenager, he had underwent the pain of living without a mother so he promised himself that he will never maltreat a woman. He found himself automatically feeling pity for every woman. He had seen how his mother suffered before she passed away.
May your soul rest in peace mamaa. He prayed silently.
" So what do you plan, like when are you going to start looking for her."
"i was thinking i should wait for when she will come again" Muhammad spoke.
"then you must be the silliest boy on earth. After all i had been saying you are expecting her to come and look for you again, this your girl is a rare gem, if i were her i will have dumped you since. Which kind of lover are you; waiting for your girl to do the chasing"
"buttttt... "
"shut up! You are pissing me off mudi! "
"ameenu wawa talo talo ya hana...." Muhammad started singing a childhood song to loosen the thickness of the room. It did. Ameen laughed and said he should stop calling him talo talo turkey.
"so find the state she is before tomorrow, and we are leaving for that state next tomorrow " with that dr ameen stood up glancing at his wrist watch, it was time for him to be at the hospital. Muhammad escorted him out, they met maami at the garden, he greeted her and bade her farewell. He entered his car and zoomed off
