“Oh,” I mutter, a weird feeling settling in my chest. “What happened?”
“She tried to set me up.”
I furrowed my eyebrows. “How?”
“Macy wanted to steal from me and she probably didn’t have the guts to do it herself. So, she was going to have me get ambushed, possibly beaten up and then robbed. But she’s a dumbass and couldn’t think the plan through.”
