A dream or...?

    In her sleep, Cali has a dream where she wakes up in an underwater world. Surprisingly she can breathe under the water and she sees all the sea creatures swimming around. Now she doesn't understand how real it seems because it looks like a lucid dream more than a normal dream. She tries to pinch her arm and pinches it righter and tighter. It hurts so bad and starts bleeding. Is not a dream she realizes that maybe all she has been through before was actually a dream and this is the reality. She's been sleeping all this time underwater. She sees a few mermaids and swims to them to ask for their help. The mermaids swim away ignoring her. She doesn't know what to do or where do go so she just follows her intuition. Going into the unknown all alone Cali finds a city and in that city, many mermaids lived,now they had nowhere to run.She gets closer to little mermaids and asks her where is the shore and how can she escape from there. The little mermaids seemed confused when Cali talked about the shore and said that she has never seen land. Plus the mermaid said that she has never seen a human before and warned her to be careful because there are many monsters in the sea, monsters that crave human flesh.Cali asked if the mermaids had a leader who could help her. The little mermaid nods her head takes Cali's hand and takes her to the king's and queen's royal cave.

   Just after the king and the queen notice that there's a human in their water they start panicking and ask the guards to arrest the human. Cali is taken to prison without giving her any explanation for why is this happening. She's scared and cries, she can't escape from prison because there are thorns and eels surrounding her.A few hours later she is being taken out of prison and she sits in front of the King Plurius and Queen Reefa.The king explains Cali that humans and mermaids had many wars in the past and humans tried to exterminate all the mermaid kind and when they saw her they couldn't believe their eyes because humans went extinct a long time ago. There was not even one of them left. The queen Reefa said :- If You're coming in peace then you're welcomed but if you didn't then please go away or we'll need to make you disappear right now. Cali says:

-I came with peace. I don't have any thoughts of conflict .I just wanted to ask for your help

-What kind of help would need a human from us?Said the king.

-I  need to get away from here. See? I don't want you any harm I just want to return to my home .I miss my father and I want to see him again but I don't know how to get back to the surface because I don't know where I'll be going.

The queen then answered:

-Oh my dear girl! But there is no land anymore. We have told you already humans went extinct because we had wars with them.They polluted our waters, destroyed it and killed our brothers and sisters. We had no choice but to eliminate the human race.

Cali can't believe what she's hearing right now . Her father and all the human race has disappeared.She's the only human left on Earth! She screams crying and falls on her knees begging them to tell her that what she just heard is not true.But unfortunately it was true. Now Cali has to deal with the loss of her father and all the human kind. She is devastated! She can't believe. But there is more the king and the queen told her, even if she is somehow able to breathe under the water she is not going to survive there for long because she's a human and her organs , her,lungs, hear heart, her brain won't resist to the pressure of that depth for too long, which means she only has a few days to leave or to live.So now she has to make a choice. She is going to go all alone into the unknown again and look for land for a better environment or she's going to stay here under water and slowly fade away as days pass.
