Chapter 3: His World.

The car finally slowed down. My heart immediately started racing again. I didn’t know how long we had been driving… minutes, hours — it all felt the same. Endless. Suffocating. And now… We had arrived. The large iron gates in front of us opened slowly, revealing a massive mansion hidden behind darkness. My breath caught. It looked less like a home… And more like a fortress. Tall walls. Security guards. Cameras everywhere. No way in. No way out. The car drove inside, and the gates closed behind us with a heavy sound. Final. Just like everything else tonight. “Welcome home,” he said calmly. Home. The word sent a chill down my spine. This wasn’t my home. It was a cage. The car stopped. The door opened. “Out,” one of the men ordered. I stepped out slowly, my legs weak as I looked around. Everything was huge. Expensive. Perfect. And completely lifeless. He stepped out right after me, fixing his suit like nothing had happened. Like he hadn’t just taken someone’s life away. “Follow me,” he said, already walking ahead. I hesitated for a second… Then followed. What else could I do? Inside, the mansion was even more intimidating. Marble floors. High ceilings. Dim lights. Every step echoed loudly, making me feel smaller and smaller. Like I didn’t belong here. Like I never would. “From now on, this is where you’ll stay,” he said without turning around. “Stay?” I repeated. “You mean… live here?” He stopped walking. Slowly turned. His eyes met mine again — cold, unreadable. “Did you think I bought you just to let you go?” My chest tightened painfully. “I’m not an object,” I said quietly. His gaze darkened. In two steps, he was standing right in front of me. Too close. “Say that again,” he murmured. My breath hitched. But I didn’t look away this time. “I said… I’m not an object.” Silence. For a moment, I thought I had gone too far. But then… Something unexpected happened. A small smile appeared on his lips. Not warm. Not kind. Dangerous. “Good,” he said. I blinked in confusion. “I don’t like weak things.” My heart skipped. “But don’t misunderstand,” he added, his voice turning cold again. “Strong or not… you still belong to me.” My stomach dropped. There it was again. That word. Belong. “Why are you doing this?” I asked suddenly. He didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he walked past me… Then stopped. “Because I can,” he said simply. My hands clenched. I hated that answer. I hated him. And yet… I couldn’t ignore the strange feeling building inside me. Fear… Mixed with something else. Something dangerous. “Your room is upstairs,” he said. “You’ll stay there.” “Alone?” I asked quickly. He looked at me again, one eyebrow slightly raised. “Do you want company?” My face heated instantly. “No!” A low chuckle escaped his lips. The sound surprised me. It was the first time he didn’t sound completely cold. And somehow… That scared me even more. “Get some rest,” he said, turning away. “Tomorrow… we’ll discuss your role.” Role? What did that even mean? Before I could ask… He was gone. Leaving me alone… In a place that felt more like a prison than a home. I slowly walked upstairs, my heart heavy, my mind spinning. Everything had changed. My life. My future. Me. And deep down… I knew this was only the beginning. Because a man like him… Would never let me go that easily.
