Be very Afraid

1009 Words
“You are Alice’s classmates?” asked Mrs. Benz after letting them in inside the house.   “Yes, ma’am,” said Mar-jay. While Keisha’s eyes roamed the house with a crept-out expression.   What it did not know was Alice’s ghost was all over them from the time they went in.   It just stared at them in a creepy manner. Its eyes gave out an aura of death all around her.   “Are you a friend of my daughter’s?”   “I bet they are,” Cissy was obviously being sarcastic. But it also refuses to look at the dark spirit at the same time.   Both Mar-jay and Keisha did not know how to answer. That’s when Karma decided to interfere.   “Are you being haunted by something recently?”   The two looked freaked out as they stared at her side.   “By the way, this is my sister’s student. Her name is Karma. She can see spirits,” Mrs. Benz explains.   It’s as though the two had seen a light through a very dark tunnel.   “C-could you help us?” asked Mar-jay. “I think she’s following us.”   Mrs. Benz’s reaction then begins to change. “Who’s following you? What are you really to my daughter?” Keisha started to sob.   “I’m sorry, we’re very sorry. We didn’t mean to do that to her. Please, make her stop,” Keisha pleaded to Alice’s Mom.   Mar-jay was no different, It knelt walking towards her with hands put together like she was some kind of a saint that could actually save them.   “Help us, please.”  she was looking at Mar-jay’s reaction.  When she saw a pair of bare feet from behind it. And upon looking up. Its face was suddenly onto hers.   “Do try and help them,” the spirit of Alice was laughing horribly as it vanished into thin air.   Amidst all the chaos, Cissy was again nowhere to be found. It might have been scared off by the sudden approach of the bad spirit towards her.   After calming themselves down, Mar-jay started telling the story of how they treated Alice at school. And it made Mrs. Benz cry. That was the scene that Anton witnessed upon arriving.   “Get out of here, both of you!” Mrs. Benz started shouting hysterically. “You deserve whatever you’re experiencing right now. And I won’t blame my daughter for whatever she does with all of you after.”   Mark-jay and Keisha were both disheartened as they leave the premises. She on the other hand choose to follow the two.   “What do we do now, Mar-jay? We’ll definitely die if Alice’s mother doesn’t help us.” Keisha looked as if it was about to have a panic attack soon. It continued to cry even after the two walked out of the village.   “I don’t know either. I’m just as afraid as you are with my life right now.” Mar-jay said. Almost to weep himself.   Karma approached the two.   “Has anyone of you know how Alice died?”   Both Mar-jay and Keisha turned at her.   “You believe us?” asked Mar-jay.   "Of course he does," said Keisha. "She can see ghosts,"   "You need to tell me what happened before I can help,"   Mar-jay and Keisha exchanged glances.   "All we know is that we left her in the abandoned factory. After we bullied her with the g**g,"   "Is that the one you pass before coming here?"   The two gently nodded.   "And this g**g of yours?"   That's when Keisha started crying.   "Two of them have already died," Mar-jay explained. As it tapped Keisha gently on its back.   "May I see who else is included in your group?"   Cissy literally glared at her.   "Are you serious? That ghost has more grudges than anything I've ever seen. It would kill anyone who gets in its way, "   Karma chooses to ignore Cissy's advice. She saw how that poor soul suffered before dying. And by realizing what happened to her. Could also help ease its pain.  ***    Eulo and the other guys stared at Karma with disdain.  "Do you seriously believe that Alice's spirit is out to kill us?" said Eulo who doesn't seem happy that Keisha and Mar-jay decided to bring her with them. "Aren't you the least afraid of what recently happened to Violet and Tinsley?" "It's just a coincidence," Eulo insisted. "Right after seeing Alice's spirit outside our classroom?" Keisha began to sob. "I don't think so," "You are all just scaring yourselves, This isn't a case of revenge from the grave. For all we know, Alice might still be alive and just playing with us?"  "Just look at what happened to Violet? Can you tell that what happened to her was just a natural cause of death? " That's when all three guys began to think thoroughly.  "Tell us," said Wacko. "How can a senior high student like you do to a 'dark spirit' as you said it was?"  She just stared at all three guys. And tried to look for Alice's wandering spirit around them. But it seems to be missing. Then she noticed Cissy acting weak.  There's something wrong with the place. Or probably the people around her. "I can't stay here for long," Cissy uttered. "There seems to be something that suppresses me at this time." "Is anyone of you wearing an amulet right now?" All the others started staring at each other with confused expressions on their faces. Except for Eulo. Who seems aware of what she was talking about. "What's it with you?" it said lifting its hand showing a bracelet made of black stones and a string of the same color." She secretly turned to look for Cissy and it was already gone.  It was probably made to cast out spirits.   What a lucky bastard. she thought to herself.  She didn't know why, but she feels as though it did not deserve the amulet's protection at all.
