Episode1:Reborn under the wolf moon
Talia’s POV “Where am I?” I opened my eyes and the forest stared back. The smell of damp earth made me cough. The moon was too bright. Too close. My head throbbed and my heart raced. “This is not real. It has to be a dream. ” I tried to move but my legs felt like lead. “Come on, Talia. Get up. ” My hands touched the cold ground. The dew soaked my skin. My hair clung to my face. I swallowed hard. “Why am I here? Why now?” Something shifted in the shadows. “Did I imagine that?” I held my breath. My chest ached. I remembered fragments of my past life. Pain, fear, running, hiding. “I survived before. I can survive now. ” A low growl broke the silence. eyes glowing. My stomach lurched. “No. Not again. ” My body froze. My eyes found it. Teeth glinting, “I cannot run. I cannot hide. I have to face it. ” Then he was there. Not from the shadows. Not from the trees. Just there. A figure tall and impossible. His golden eyes caught the moonlight. “Who is he?” He struck the creature with a force I could not understand. It hit the ground with a sound that made my chest jump. He turned to me. I could not look away. “Do not trust him. But I want to. ” My throat felt dry. Words failed me. I wanted to ask him who he was, what he was. My body obeyed him anyway. He moved ahead, and I followed. The shadows moved with us, alive with eyes that watched. My chest tightened. “I feel something. Something inside me. What is happening?”A howl ripped through the night. “No. Not now. ” Wolves burst from the trees, eyes glowing and teeth bared. My stomach twisted. I could not run. I could not fight. I had never fought. Then it happened. A pulse inside me surged. “What is this?” My hands tingled. My body felt alive in a way I had never known. The wolves faltered, unsure. I could feel the power flowing, sharp and wild. “I am not just Talia. I am more. I have to be. ” Kael’s eyes snapped to mine. was waiting, testing, measuring. My heart raced. “He knows. He can feel it. ” I realized he was not just watching. He “I have to survive. I will survive. ” The wolves backed away. Silence pressed down. My hands burned and my mind spun. “The danger is not gone. It is only beginning. ” Kael did not relax. He moved ahead and I followed, drawn to him even as fear clawed at my chest. “My life has changed. Nothing will ever be simple again. I have been reborn for a reason. I survived before. I can survive again. But this time it is different. This time survival is only the beginning. ” The forest was quiet, but my chest still raced. “Why can I feel this power?” My hands tingled. My stomach twisted. The air smelled sharp, metallic, alive. I could hear the wolves moving in the shadows, circling, waiting. Kael stopped. I almost ran into him. “Stay close, ” I thought, but the words stayed in my head. His presence made my skin prickle, like he could see everything, even the fear I tried to hide. Another howl split the air. The rogue wolves were coming back. I wanted to scream. I wanted to run. My legs shook. “I cannot do this. I cannot. ” But then the pulse returned, stronger this time, burning in my chest. “I am not just Talia. I am not weak. I will fight. ” Kael moved ahead, fast and precise, like a shadow himself. I ran behind him, keeping my eyes on his back, trying to match his speed. The wolves lunged from the dark. I barely had time to react. One of them was on me, teeth snapping. I felt my pulse surge, a warmth spreading from my chest to my hands. The wolf screamed and fell back, yelping, as if something invisible pushed it away. I stared at my hands. “What is happening to me?” My mind raced. My power was real. Dangerous. Alive. Kael glanced at me, his golden eyes unreadable. He did not speak. I understood that he was warning me, testing me, pushing me to see if I could handle it.The wolves circled again. There were too many. My pulse quickened. I could hear the forest humming with energy. My heart felt like it was beating in sync with something larger, something alive, something not human. Kael was close. His strength radiated around me. I felt safe and terrified all at once. The first wolf lunged at me. I raised my hands instinctively. A blast of force knocked it backward. It yelped and scrambled away. My legs trembled. My heart hammered. Kael did not pause. He moved with deadly precision, tearing through the shadows, striking the wolves with power I had never seen. I wanted to run. I wanted to hide. But I could not. Something inside me would not let me. My pulse burned hotter. I could feel the wolves faltering. “I am part of this now. I cannot run. I will not run. ” Kael turned once, golden eyes meeting mine. I froze. I could feel his stare piercing through me. I had never felt so exposed and so alive at the same time. My breath caught. My power pulsed stronger. The wolves hesitated. Kael nodded once, almost imperceptibly. I understood. He trusted me, or at least he needed me. The rogue wolves hesitated, then slowly backed away. Silence fell over the forest, heavy and suffocating. My chest heaved. My hands shook. “It is not over. Nothing is ever over. ” Kael did not relax. He never relaxed. He moved ahead, and I followed, every step feeling like walking on the edge of a knife. My mind raced with questions. Who was he? What was I? What was this power that burned through my veins? The moon above felt closer now, brighter. I could feel it calling to me. My heartbeat synced with it, strong and steady, dangerous and alive. “I survived before. I can survive again. But this time it is different. I am not alone. I am not weak. I am part of something bigger. I have to be. ”Kael paused near a clearing. The wolves were gone, but the tension in the air did not lift. My body ached from adrenaline, my chest tight, my hands still tingling. I could feel every sense alive and raw. The forest seemed to hold its breath with me. He looked at me again. His expression was unreadable, sharp and dangerous, but not cruel. He was measuring me. Watching me. Waiting. I could feel the weight of his gaze pressing into me. “I am not just surviving. I am awake. I am alive. And I am not afraid. ” I stepped forward. My pulse thrummed through my veins. My hands glowed faintly in the moonlight, a warmth that I could barely control. Kael’s eyes widened just enough. I realized he was not just watching me. He was seeing what I was capable of. My power. My strength. My future. The forest was still, except for the soft rustle of leaves. The danger had passed for now, but I knew it would return. I felt it deep in my bones. Kael did not speak. He just turned and led the way deeper into the forest, his movements fluid and controlled, dangerous and alive. I followed. My legs burned. My chest ached. My hands still glowed faintly. Every nerve in my body screamed that nothing would be simple again. My rebirth had brought me here. My power had revealed itself. And the man who had saved me was more than he seemed. “I have survived before. I will survive again. But this time I am not just surviving. I am living. I am awake. And I am ready.
