Chapter 8- Daichi

I smashed the glass in my hand against the obsidian surface of my desk. Today isn't my day at all. I wanted to kill someone for the way my plans fell to hell.
"Where is she?! WHERE IS MY SISTER?!" I screamed at the tracker in front of me from the team that I sent to procure my sister from her college.
"She's on Midnight Moon pack lands sir, with her mate." He recounted to me.
"Why wasn't she procured ans imprisoned here on my property? I do NOT LIKE FAILURES!!" I bellowed..
"T-the Beta and Gamma attend the same college as her my lord." he stuttered. "We couldn't intercept for fear of revealing the supernatural world to the humans."
I gritted my teeth so hard my jaw locked. Not even our master would excuse me for revealing us to the humans over the revenge he promised me. Tch. I had to play smart or I would lose my life. I had to play smart for revenge on my sister and her mate.
"Send 3 trackers on the outskirts of Mindnight Moon pack borders. Keep tabs on her. If I hear of another failure I will kill whoever is responsible." I growled.
"Y-yes my lord." He all but tripped in order to leave the office.
"It will all fall into place soon." I whispered. "Just a little more time." I said with a maniacal smile on my face. Soon enough my sister and her mate will pay for the power, birthright, and honor they stole from me. They will pay with their lives.
~Kai POV~
"Daisuke is she alright?" I panicked. She still hasn't awoke from her fainting at the school today.
"The doctor said that her mind needs to heal, bro." He responded sympathetically. He's never seen me like this..
"So, she's only partially awakened." I stated as Daisuke nodded.
"Yep, the doctor knows and tested her. Her birthright powers came along right before her wolf. She needs her wolf to heal."
"I just hope she doesn't hate me because I didn't get to her parents in time." I sighed dejected.
"Come on man, she's your mate, she will understand." Daisuke responded quietly. "Her parents did what they could to protect her. I'm pretty sure they would do it all over again if it meant her survival. Stop beating yourself up." He patted my back.
I nodded and then felt a strange energy in the pack house. It doubled then tripled in strength. I then looked up the stairs at my mate who stood there glowing with power. She looked ethereal with her silver-white hair and beautiful heterochromoic purple silver eyes.
"I need to find who did it. I need to go home.." Was all she said before she vanished.
"Bro, I think she knows." Daisuke said as I pulled him down the hall by his neck.
"We need to gwt to her in case he makes another move on her. She's fully awakened." I said as we raced to the car. I just hoped that we got to her before Daichi did.
~Kimiko POV~
When I passed out at school I was definitely not expecting to wake up in a field of passionflowers and lavander. I most definitely was not expecting to be standing near a Goddess either, especially one that looked almost exactly like my mom with an aura that was much older and much wiser. Her kind smile didn't relieve the sadness from her eyes as she looked at me., which only increased my sense of foreboding. Whatever happened and was said here...I probably wasn't going to like.
"You must be grandma Moon Goddess." I chuckled to lighten the mood some. I think we both deserve an ice breaker here.
She smiled and chuckled, "I guess you could say that in this life time, dear child." I watched as she gazed at the pulsating full moon above us. I felt thr sadness that rmanated from her.
"Dear child, I have been watching and guiding your soul for many centuries, and now, in this lifetime you must fulfill your Destiny." She gazed at me lovingly. Like a grandmother would her grandchild.
"What am I?" I asked sheepishly. "Something happened to me at school and now it has me questioning things. Things about what I am, and why now?"
The Goddess breathed out a a defeated sigh that marred her gentle beauty with age so deep it was dizzying, "Dear one, your powers from your burthright have partially be awakened, however they had a cost that was far more traumatic than what you've experienced so far."
Her gaze fell on the field ahead. I followed her gaze as the two figures approached, and then, I fell to my knees with tears running in rivulets down my cheeks.
"NO, no no no no no no Nooooo!!" I heaved and hyperventilated. They were my parents. I knew what this meant, and I wasn't ready, not yet. That didn't matter anymore though. It was done.
My parents grasped my into a hug so tight to console the void that had begun to form within me. It was then my mother spoke..
"Sweetheart it had to happen, and for this I am so sorry. I am so sorry that I didn't get the chance to explain everything to you. However, there are far greater evils, we and you, will face I hadn't done what I had to do to protect you. You are more than you think my sweet Kimki. Please trust your mate, he will protect you. He's been waiting so long for you my sweet girl."
As they let me go the wind picked up, a torrential downpour begain, heat and thunder roared, and the earth beneath me shook violently.
"Her full awakening has begun, and with it I bless you with my mark and you past life memories." She said as her realm faded from my view with her final words.
"Fulfill your Destiny, become Midnight Wolf Warrior Luna..."
I intended to do exactly that.
