Chapter 7- Kai

I raced back to my Jeep through the woods and immediately contacted the guys. "Akira bring her to me. Daichi is looking for her." "We were going to anyways. She didn't take the news so well." Akira sighed.  "What happened?" I asked exasperated. "You guys were supposed to take it slow."  "Kinda hard to do when she Awakened in P.E. today." Daisuke grumbled. I paled, "Are you serious?"  "Yep, and when we told her the truth she fainted. My question is how did it go finding her parents?" Daisuke asked. I stayed quiet for a minute or two trying to gather the strength to answer. This was not going to end well with his mate. He mentally chastised himself for not finding them sooner. It could have prevented so much pain and agony on his mate's end.  I sighed sadly, "They didn't make it...Daichi found them-.." my voice broke in pain and failure. I couldn't even save my mate's parents, how would I be able to help her? "You did everything you could. I'm pretty sure her parents left behind something to explain why they wouldn't let you interfere." Akira explained.  "Still doesn't make this situation any better. She will hate me for this." I gritted out through my teeth. "Alpha, stop. Blaming yourself is not going to help this situation any. We have to protect her and keep her safe. You remember what the Moon Goddess told you. The salvation of this world falls to the 2 of you."  I shook myself mentally. How could I forget? Prophecy proclaimed hero of the ages. Just what I needed to wake up and face the situation at hand. My nerves were fried because this is not the way I pictured meeting my mate. Not in the slightest. Once again I sighed, completely exhausted and already over today. "Get to the pack house with her. I'll take it from there." "Yes Alpha." They said in unison as I ended the call. ~3 hours later~ I hear the vehicle before it even hits the driveway. I immediately head outside to await the boys, ad I've cleared out the pack house for my mate's safety as well as to reduce her stress levels.  I hear Daisuke grunt in effort as he carries my mate over to me still unconscious. He huffed, "She's not as light as she looks."  I chuckled, "The great Daisuke brought to his knees by a female. I'll be damned."  I could hear Akria laugh as his brother growled at him. Daisuke was touchy about his strength because he is the pack trainer, and a perfectionist at that.  "I hate the city. Too much traffic. Too many people. Too much noise. Never again." Daisuke complained.  "Do you ever stop complaining big bro, or is there a mute button that I'm unaware of?" Akira guffawed as his brother tried to smack him. "I take that as a no." Akira said as Daisuke shifted into his wolf and chased after his brother into the woods. I face palmed. They never grow up. I swear it. I laid my mate on the sectional we have in the pack livingroom. She was beginning to stir. I mindlinked the boys to return.  "Guys she's waking up. I need you guys in here stat. It will be a lot easier to explain this with you guys here." "On the way, boss man."  Akira said before I cut off the link. My only hope is that my mate won't hate me for this...
