Chapter 2

She almost fell when she felt a pair of strong hands holding her from falling.

She turned to see a very handsome man looking at her with his gold eyes.

She was struck by his handsome face that she didn't know that the thugs were already standing close to her. She kept on looking at his gold eyes that was captivating her. She has never seen anyone with a gold eyes before. So she found his eyes beautiful and unique. His nose was pointed and his lips were shaped well. They were a little pink in color and they looked kissable. His black hair looked like it was gelled to the. He was dressed in a black shirt and black suit trouser. His shirt looked too tight on him because of his broad shoulders and chest. His sleeves were rolled up and she couldn't see some tattoos on his hands. He was very tall. And his cologne smelt very nice and expensive. Everything about him screamed perfect.

‘But who is this man? And what is he looking for in this forest?’ She thought.

He didn't say anything as her also and was also staring at her . His face was blank as his handsome face hid his emotions. She didn't know if he was happy or angry. Although his face was blank, he still looked very handsome. She wondered how he will look when he smiles. Just the thought alone made her feel jellies inside her.

The both of them were lost in their own world as they were staring at each other not until they heard someone cleared his throat before they turned their eyes away from each other. The handsome stranger careful lifted her to stand well before he turned to look at the intruders.

“Excuse man but we found her first. Also she has something that belongs to us so give her back to us”a thug said to the stranger.

“And what if I don't” the stranger said as he pushed her to stay behind him.

On hearing his voice, Bianca took a deep breath. His voice sounded so sexy and deep. His voice made her feel things she never felt before and it really confused her because she wasn't the type to fall in love at first sight. She never had a boyfriend because she never had time to date any guy and she was a virgin so why is she feeling like jumping on this handsome stranger like a dog on heat. She thought to herself.

“ look dude, you don't know who you are messing with. I suggest you just hand over the girl to us and leave here quietly that's if you want to leave here alive.” one of the thugs barked in anger.

They wanted to leave the forest as quick as possible because they heard stories about the forest. The forest was said to be hunted and whoever enters it never comes out alive.

“ You just chewed the words out of my mouth” the handsome stranger said and he chuckled.

Bianca stood behind him watching them quietly. She didn't want to be noticed so she let them talk without saying a word although she was scared for this handsome stranger. He was alone and the thugs were five in number. How will only him fight them off? What if they kill him?

" Actually those words are mine but don't worry I don't mind repeating them. Now I am also warning you to leave the girl alone and walk out of here quietly if you want to leave here alive but if it's death you choose let me know." The handsome stranger continued with his face still emotionless.

The thugs turned to each other then they form a circle to talk to each other. They began to whisper to themselves so that the other two people won't hear them.

“Should we stay and fight or we should just go and forget about the damn girl and the locket?”One asked

“ I think we should just stay and fight. That locket looks very expensive. Just think of the amount of money we will get out of it if we sell it. Besides remember his just one person and we are five. We can easily beat him because he is outnumbered.” another answered.

“ But he looked very serious. I think this is a bad idea. I don't think we should confront him. Who knows what he can do. Besides are you forgetting he was in this forest.” another asked.

“ Don't be a p***y. We can easily beat him up. Beside his just putting on a fake facade. I'm very sure deep down his scared of us so are you in or not? Make up your mind right now.” one said.

“ Alright fine. I'm in. ”

After they were done talking, they turned to Bianca and the handsome stranger.

“ I see you have made your decision which was actually a bad decision by the way. But I will show you mercy by warning for the last time, if you cherish your lives you better live here.” the handsome stranger said them.

They were surprised how he knew that they had decided. But they covered it up and and ran towards him to attack him.

Bianca was so scared when she saw them running towards the stranger and her. She feared for her life and that of the stranger. They kept running closer to where they stood. She was about to run away from them when something very strange happened.

One of the thugs was burning with fire all over his body. She was shocked and she wondered where the fire was coming from until she saw the stranger create a fire ball on his palm and sent it to another thug burning him also. She was shocked and frightened. Who is this handsome stranger? And how could he bring out fire from his hands?

The other three thugs turned to run but the stranger used a very fast inhuman speed to stand in front of them blocking their path. To Bianca it was like he disappeared and appeared in from of the thugs but he actually ran.

He set fire to burn the three of them but this time it was in a different manner. The fire didn't come out from his hands but his mouth. Bianca couldn't take the shock of what she saw any longer. She fainted.

When the stranger had watched them all die right before his eyes, he turned to see the damsel he just saved and he wasn't surprised to see she had already fainted. He walked to where she laid and carefully carried her in his arms and began to walk to his home.

As he carried her, he looked at her as he was walking. She was so small in size and she looked very lean. She looked like she was suffering from malnutrition.

He quickly ran with his supernatural speed and reach his home. He took her to his bedroom and laid her on his bed. He stood up to admire her. To him she looked like an angel as she was laying on his bed. He sat on the sofa in his room as he watched her closely waiting for her to wake up. He brought out his phone from his pocket and dialed his maid number. He ordered her to make a quick meal for his visitor because he was sure she was hungry. He waited for fifteen minutes and she slowly started to wake up.

Bianca opened her eyes slowly and the first thing she noticed was the celling was black. She had never seen a celling in a black shade so she was guessing this wasn't her home. She quickly sat up and turned to look round in other to know where exactly she was. She was surprised to see the room very big. The bed she laid on was a king sized bed. It's was very big bed with black covers. Even the walls were painted black. She noticed there was a large television on the wall and two doors maybe one was leading to the toilet and the other a wardrobe. She was yet to notice the other person present in the room with her until he spoke.

“ how are you feeling now?” She jump in fright but when she turned and saw it was the handsome stranger who spoke, she relaxed a little bit but still sat up. His gold eyes were looking at her like they were trying to access her.

“ I'm fine. Sorry how did I get her.” she asked gently.

“ don't you remember anything?” he asked her.

She tried to think then it all came back to her. How she left home, how she dropped off the bus in another town she knows nothing about, how she couldn't get a place to stay, how she walked round trying to look for a place to spend the night, how she was found by the thugs, how the thugs wanted to collect her precious locket, how she ran for her life and her locket, how she ran into the forest, how she almost stumbled and fell on the floor, how the handsome stranger caught her from falling, how he warned the thugs to leave her alone, and how she watched him burn them all. She remembered everything.

She became scared. She was in the house of a strange man who kills people with fire that came out from his hands and mouth.

‘What if he is planning to also kill her too?’ she thought.

She was so scared that she couldn't face him again. She wasn't ready to die yet. She wanted to get married and have kids of her own’. She thought.

“excuse me Sir, why did you bring me here?” she asked with her voice shaking with fear.

“what do you think?” was his response to her.

She felt so scared. She knew instantly that he was going to kill her just like he did to those thugs. She didn't know how she was going to come out from the mess she was in. She quickly knelt on the bed and joined her hands together.

“ please don't kill me I'm begging you. I promise I won't tell a soul of what I saw earlier. Please don't kill me sir please. I'm too young to die. Please I'm begging you sir. I promise to do anything you want but please don't kill me.” she begged him.

Deep down, he was amused but he hid it perfectly from her seeing it. His face was still neutral like her pleading didn't bother him at all.

“are you sure you can do anything for me in exchange of your life?” he asked her.

“ yes anything you want just name it. I'm ready to do anything you wish for. Please just spare my life I'm begging you.”

He rubbed his beard and was silent for some seconds like he was thinking.

“ what's your name baby girl?” she heard him asked with his sexy husky voice that made her feel things inside.

“ Bianca” she whispered softly looking down at her laps. She couldn't bring her eyes up to look at him.

“may I ask what you are doing here in the forest?”

“ I'm sorry if I was trespassing. I was just looking for where to hide from those thugs who were following me. I just wanted to protect myself.” she answered quickly.

“where your home?” he asked her.

“ I don't have a home” she replied with a sad face still looking down.

“ what happened to the place you were staying before you moved out?” he asked out of curiosity.

“ I ran away from there” she answered his questions.

“ Why?”

“ I didn't want to lose my life.” she said. She didn't know why she was telling him about herself when she doesn't know him. She doesn't even know anything about him neither does she know his name but she felt free telling him everything.

“ who wanted to take your life.” he asked her.

She kept quiet and refused to answer him. She didn't want to tell me more things about herself.

“ who wanted to take your life.” he asked again this time raising his voice a little.

“my step mother and step siblings” she quickly answered him in fear. From his voice she knew he wasn't happy and she remembered what he did to those thugs. She didn't want to end up like the thugs who were burnt to death so she decided to tell him the truth.

“ why did they want you dead?” he asked her again. He has done nothing but ask questions ever since and she couldn't stop answering him because she was scared he might burn her also.

“ I think it's because they wanted me gone in order to inherit my late father's company.” she replied him still facing down.

“ so your father is late?”

Bianca nodded her head in response.

“ so where do you plan to go from here?”

“ I honestly don't know. I don't have much money with me and I don't know anywhere around here. I wanted to wonder about to see if someone would help me.” she answered.

“I see” was his response.

A knock was heard and he ordered the person to come in. The door opened and a young lady who looks like she was the same age group as Bianca walked with a tray that was covered.

“ drop the tray on the bed for her to eat.” the stranger said to the lady which she obeyed. She gently placed the tray in front of Bianca.

“ Alright that's all for today. Thank you Iris, you can go and rest for the day.”

“ Thank you my Lord” the girl whose name was Iris said and bowed before him then she walked out of the room.

“ Eat while I think of which offer to give you.” the stranger said to Bianca.

At first she didn't want to eat anything but the aroma that was coming from the food was so nice to resist and her tummy growled to complain it was hungry. She uncovered the tray and she was surprised to see it was filled with omelette, bacon, sausage and porridge. The sight of the food was enough for her to dig into it. She ate and ate till she was full and didn't have space to eat more.

“ thank you for the food” she thanked him.

“is that all you can eat? You need to eat more. You look like you need plenty of food.” he said.

“ I'm full honestly. If I eat any more, I might throw up.”

“ are you sure?” he asked.

" Yes" she answered

“ alright are you ready to hear my request?” he asked her.

“ yes” she answered with her voice shaking in anticipation.
