" Be my bride."
She was very shocked the moment he said that to her.
“ Excuse me but is this some kind of a joke or something because it's not funny at all” she gently asked.
He let out a small chuckle then look straight into her eyes.
“ does this look like a joke to you?”
She was surprised. Why does he wants to marry her? He was just a stranger she just met yet he said he wants her as his bride. What's his deal? She thought.
“ why me?” she mumbled the question that has been bothering her.
“ Because I want you to be mine. And I will advice you, if you want to see the rest of the day alive, you will do exactly what I tell you to or else you should know the consequences by now.”
He stood up and turned to leave but then he halt then turned back to look at her.
“ I will be kind to give you two hours to think about. I will be coming back for my answer. Hope you are wise enough to make the right choice.” and he left the room. Leaving her dumbfounded.
‘ I only have two hours to make a decision that will change my life forever. How did I get into this mess’ she thought deeply.
‘ should I accept his proposal? But I know nothing about him. How will I marry someone I don't know anything about. I'm not even in love with him. How do I do this? Or should I just reject his proposal and just face the consequences?’
She sat on the bed waiting for her two hours to be due. She hoped she wasn't making a terrible mistake with her final decision.
At about two hours, the handsome stranger returned.
“ I hope you have my answer ready.” he said as he stood in front of her.
“ yes I have.” Bianca replied softly.
“ I'm all ears.”he said
“ I will be your bride” she whispered softly.
“ can you repeat yourself again I didn't hear a word you said.” he said to her
“ I will be your bride” Bianca said this time she was loud.
“ I see you have made a right choice. Now I want you to rest for a while. My maid will come around to take you for shopping you need to get new clothes and also your wedding gown.” he said checking his waist watch.
“ I have enough clothes with me already and why buy mevthe wedding gown now. It's not like the wedding is anytime soon.” she mumbled.
“ well your clothes will be burnt because from the look of things they are all old and old fashioned. And our wedding will be in three days time so you need to get a gown.” he said to her.
She froze feeling a lump inside her throat.
‘ she was getting married in three days time. Who would have believed that she who had no lover will be married in three days? But why is he rushing things?’ she thought.
“ do you have anything else to say, I have to attend an important meeting right now so if there is nothing left to say, I can as well take my leave.” he turned to leave when she called out for him.
“ sorry I didn't get to know your name.”
“ you can call me Williams.” then he left leaving her alone in the room once again.
She sat on the bed not knowing what to do. She began to chant his name in her head so she could be familiar with it. She liked his name , Williams.
She was still sitting on the bed waiting for the person who will take her for shopping.
Not long she heard a knock on the door.
“yes come in” she said softly.
The door opened and the maid who brought her food earlier entered.
“ good afternoon ma my name is Iris pete. I will be your personal maid from now henceforth. ” the maid said bowing.
Bianca felt uncomfortable with the gesture. She didn't like the way the maid bowed to her.
“ you don't need to do that. We are of desame age level. You can act causal with me. Besides my name is Bianca and not ma so please call me Bianca.” Bianca said giving Iris a smile so she could feel comfortable.
“ no I can't do that ma. You are our soon to be queen. I will commit a great sin by calling you by your name ma.” Iris replied already shaking with fear inside of her.
“ wait, what do you mean by queen? Besides I just want us to be friends. I honestly don't want to be formal with you.” Bianca said to her.
“ but....” Iris tired to argue.
“ no buts. Now please can we informal and act like normal friends. I will truly appreciate it.” Bianca begged giving her a cute look.
“ alright ma... I mean Bianca sorry. ” You could hear Iris voice shaking with so much fear. She was scared of what her master will do when he finds out that she was informal with her mistress. She hopes she doesn't loose her life because of these. She thought.
“ Iris calm down I won't hurt you. Relax” Bianca tried to calm her down.
“ the truth is I'm not scared of you I'm just scared that my master will punish me if he hears that I'm friends with you and I call you by your name.” Iris said to Bianca.
“ alright let's do this to be on the safer side, you call me by my name while we are alone but when Williams is around you can use your ma. Is that fine with you Iris ” Bianca asked her gently.
“ yes it's fine. Thank you Bianca for wanting to be my friend. Truth is I have no friend here. I just joined recently because I needed a job to take care of my family. ” Iris said looking down.
“ I totally understand where your coming. I also don't have friends of my own back at home. But enough of the past let's get going before it gets late.”
Both Bianca and Iris left the room and Bianca was so surprised when she saw that the door was filled with guards. One of them walked to her and bow.
“ good afternoon ma'am I'm Luke. I'm assigned to be your personal bodyguard and driver.” the boy named Luke said to her.
“ hello luke nice to meet you. But do you really have to join us? I mean I can take care of myself well.” Bianca asked. She wasn't comfortable with the idea of walking around with a boy guard on her tail.
“ Bian... Sorry I mean ma'am, it's very important for you to be guarded. Our master has so many enemies and you need to be protected from them” Iris said to her.
“ Why does he have so many enemies? I still don't know who he is. Wait is he doing some kind of mafia work or something?” she asked.
“ calm down his not in the mafia. I will tell you what you need to know about him when we return. We need to hurry up. Luke here will be driving us to the shopping mall.” Iris said as we started a journey downstairs.
As they were walking, Bianca looked at the place and was blown by the beautiful of the house. To her, it's screamed expensive, etiquette and perfect. She was dumbfounded about how a house could be this beautiful and big.
They entered a fancy car that was big in size. Bianca felt so overwhelmed. She has never been in an expensive and rich car such as this. She sat behind as Iris sat in front with Luke.
As he was driving, she looked outside and was shocked to see so many houses with people walking around. She began to wonder what's the place. She noticed they left was it the town or village or city, she just didn't know what to refer the place as. They left the forest and entered the main city she knew.
When they arrived, Luke packed in front of the shopping mall. He told then he will wait behind but if there was any problem Iris should call him immediately.
Both ladies entered the big shopping mall. They were both excited. They went from store to store buying whatever Bianca liked. They paid with the black credit card Williams gave Iris before he left.
They bought new shirts, trousers, gowns, shoes, bags, jewelries and makeup kit for Bianca. The bags were heavy for them carry that they had to call Luke who ran to meet them in a hurry thinking they were in danger. He fulled the truck of the car with the shopping bags.
Bianca and Iris took a break in the pizza palace and together with Luke, they ate till they were filled and had strength for the next thing, that is finding the perfect wedding dress.
Leaving Luke outside once again, they entered the mall and walked to the wedding dress section. All the dress were attractive and beautiful to Bianca. Iris helped her pick several gowns for her to try on. She was beautiful in everything but she didn't feel like any of them was her dress. She walked round to check if she will see one she liked. She saw a beautiful straight gown with slit I'm front. The neck was decent and the hands were laced. She wore the dress and to say she loved lovely was an understatement.
She knew it that this was indeed her dress. She paid for it and together with Iris, they left the mall. When they went outside, it was already dark. Luke drove them back home.
When they arrived home, they refused to allow her touch the shopping bags. They called some men who helped them carry the bags in. After they dropped her bags in the room, she thanked them and they left not after bowing to her. Leaving her an Iris alone. The both of them began to arrange the clothes in the wardrobe. Iris tried to do it herself but Bianca refused to allow her work alone. When they were done, Williams entered the room making Iris nervous. She quickly bowed to him and Bianca and left. She couldn't stand being in the same room with him.
“ how did your shopping go?” he asked Bianca as he unbuttoned his shirt slowly.
“ it went fine thank you for paying for the clothes. I am sorry I don't have that amount of money to pay you back” she said softly.
“ you can pay me in another way that is not money amor” he said as he removed his shirt and walked slowly to her.
