Making Him Pay

"What?" I exclaimed.
What is Lucas even saying? How could he just believe Anna easily like that? Did he even realize that I loved him so much I didn't even think about any other thing or tried to do things for myself?
For the past three years since we got married, I've always been loyal to him and the pack. I've been serving them for three good years of my life. I was so disappointed at him for just doubting me because Anna said so.
"I asked a question, are you cheating on me, Lisa?" Lucas asked and I ignored.
I couldn't hold it back anymore. If I stayed in this room any more minute, I might break into tears.
Lucas didn't come after me, I wish he did. I still needed an explanation for all these. I needed him to tell me that it was all a prank and he didn't mean it.
I stayed inside one of the guest rooms in the pack house where I took rest and time to think. Everything was just so confusing for me. I didn't even know what to do with Lucas…
He cheated on me and now I'm pregnant with his heir. Who do I choose? What decision can I make that will suit my child?
I leaned my head on the bed frame, trying to think about everything that has just happened to me.
Few minutes into being inside the room, the door opened and Lucas finally came inside.
I didn't look to know that it was him, my heart palpitated fastly which already indicated it. I loved Lucas so much, my heart pounded in my chest whenever I'm near him.
A file containing documents was thrown in front of me, on the bed where I folded my legs.
"Let's get a divorce, Lisa," Lucas suddenly announced.
I looked up at him and then to the documents in front of me. Did he really give me divorce papers? I caught him cheating on me, I should be the one demanding for a divorce and not him.
Here I was, opting for a second chance while Lucas already had divorce papers prepared for me in advance.
I picked up the documents and checked. Indeed, they were divorce papers. I still couldn't believe it, my mouth parted and I yelled out the words I've been saving in my mind.
"Alpha Lucas Rain, How could you?" I yelled at the top of my voice and I jerked up.
"I'm sorry Lisa. I didn't tell you earlier about it, I was waiting for the right time to tell you. Anna is pregnant and I'd like to formalize everything with her" Lucas said.
"What?" I exclaimed.
"Anna is pregnant?" I was utterly surprised and unable to say any more words.
What Lucas had done to me is unacceptable and he must pay for it.
I wanted to slap him, to hit him and devour him as my wolf pleased.
I picked up the documents and cross checked, it wasn't a prank at all. Everything was real, including the fact that Anna is pregnant and he cheated on me.
"Lucas…" I groaned out in pain, I could feel my body fading out.
"What's happening to me?" I asked rhetorically, I didn't expect him to respond either.
It continued that way until I got to realize that it was our bond that had just been broken. I looked up, staring directly into Lucas's eyes.
"I, Alpha Lucas Rain denounce you, Elisabeth Rain, as my mate and Luna of this pack…" He announced the rejection vows without any form of remorse written in his face
"Lucas you bastard.." those were the only words that could come out of my mouth at that moment.
"I'm sorry Lisa. Sign the papers to make this all easy" He declared. "$5 million will be paid to you as alimony for our 3 years of marriage. You should leave the pack first in tomorrow morning"
Lucas left after explaining things to me.
"Lucas, I'm pregnant!" I wanted to scream out, hoping that he would change his mind and come back to me.
I didn't want to sound weak so I just watched him leave.
I was left alone in the room with just the divorce papers awaiting my signature. My heart palpitated fastly in my chest and it was as if I was going to die.
How could Lucas do this to me? I've loved and served him for three years, I f*****g loved him! All for what grounds? For my love to be paid off with $5 million?
"Lucas.. you will pay for this.." I gritted my teeth upon declaration.
That night, I didn't sleep a wink. I have made my decision to leave the pack as Lucas ordered. I do not care about anything anymore except for my child.
If I am bound to have him, I will raise my child myself. I will be its father and mother at the same time.
In the morning…
I finished packing up my bags and I headed outside the mansion immediately without looking back. I left in a taxi.
I couldn't control the tears that poured down my eyes as I recalled the fact that I was divorced from Lucas whom I had pledged my whole life to.
It was hard, three good years together just went down the drain.
As the taxi took me for the hotel, I received a credit alert of $5million from Lucas. He must've seen the signed documents which I left at the top of the drawer.
This was a pay off for our blissful matrimony. What an insult to me! I will never forgive Lucas for hurting me this way…
I arrived at the hotel later that night and I had a suite booked for myself. As I was finally settled, I thought about what I was going to do with my life now and my child's. Lucas was the reason why I abandoned my pack in the first place.
I married him out of my father's will. Even when I was warned that he is the enemy. I didn't care because he was my mate and I got married to him.
How could he betray me this way? I will make him pay!
