When Alaia came up to me to see what was wrong, all the strength I was using to hold myself together just disappeared. I lost it. My poor granddaughter.. my poor daughter.. and my poor grandson. They have lost so much. They lost time with all of us. They lost time together because Jonathan was so worried about keeping them all safe, then they lost him altogether because he took his own life.
