“Adelle linked me. I think her house is on fire!” Maximus hollered at us as he was running out the door. Everyone in the room barreled out behind him, ran down the stairs, out the door, and shifted as soon as our feet hit the grass. We ran faster than we ever have before, chasing after Maximus who was running in full panic. I could tell that we were approaching Adelle’s house as Hunter, and I could smell the strong scent of something burning.
