Alaia’s POV
Hearing that the fire that consumed Adelle’s house was deemed to be arson was actually not surprising. Gramps had just come from there not long ago with all this very damning information regarding my great uncle and then suddenly her house was burnt down. There is absolutely no coincidence with these events. Iris has been pacing back and forth in my head since we first saw gramps run into the fire. Then Cade went in, and it was even worse. My head has been throbbing for hours now.
We have remained here in the hospital room with gramps and Adelle, awaiting news on her condition and to be there for her when she wakes up. The pack doctors all say she is okay. The smoke just got to be too much, and she eventually passed out from not getting enough oxygen. She did have some burns
