Calvin’s POV
I still can’t believe all that has happened. Well, let me correct that: part of me can, but the other was just hoping it wouldn’t go this far. After getting a look at Theo, I honestly didn’t think he had it in him. I suppose it’s always the quiet ones you must look out for. Brutus and I have been on edge all day as we sit here in the hospital waiting for Adelle to wake up. We could have not only lost Adelle, but we could have lost Maximus. Even more upsetting is the fact that I could have lost my little brother. We may only be minutes apart, but he is still my little brother. I’m not sure what I would do if something happened to him.
Alaia has been keeping him close since the doctor deemed him okay. I honestly don’t blame her. I kind of want to wrap him in some bubble wrap
