ROSEWOOD EUREKA
After a five hours long drive to Rosewood, Davina and Ashley finally got to Dom’s apartment at Rosewood. It was obvious that the journey was quite stressful as they looked very tired and out of energy.
“I think we would have to unpack our bags tomorrow because I am freaking tired.” Ashley muttered, heading straight to the room assigned to him.
Davina nodded in affirmation “you are damn right ash." She went straight to her room, she tried to stifle a yawn as she snuggled against her queen-sized bed and ended up falling asleep without changing her dresses.
Davina moved her food around her plate with her plastic fork in a half-hearted effort to eat the barbecue. She wasn’t sure if her lack of appetite was due to what landon said to her few days back, the murder investigation going on at Henderson or how she was going to perfectly handle the shipment that would be coming down to Eureka anytime soon.
“I hope you are not worried about how Dom is going to fix that mess, because that's the last thing to worry about early this morning,” Ash said, pulling a chair to sit just right across Davina in the dining room.
Davina shoved off her thoughts and smiled at Ash who was already munching down a huge lump of barbecue. “Why would I be worried about that? Am just thinking about how we could perfectly manage and distribute the shipments coming in soon without causing trouble." She said, sipping a glass of orange juice.
“I got you covered girl. "You know you are the master planner,” Ash said, trying to cheer her up.
“Make sure to unpack the bags once you are done so we can check up on the warehouse before the arrival of the ammunition”. Davina said smiling.
TWO DAYS LATER.......................................
Davina and Ash were already done making all the necessary preparations for the arrivals of the ammunition and how it’s going to be distributed among their buyers as they received a lot of calls from clients who had made their reservations.
Sitting by the pool side with her legs swinging deep inside the water and Ashley focusing his full attention on her by the other end of the pool, Davina received a call from Dom telling her to prepare herself and head straight to the warehouse as the shipment was already onboard. She quickly ended the call and gestured to Ashley to get ready for business.
Few hours after the call, Davina and Ashley got out of their Black SUV, packed just right in front of the warehouse and headed towards Aaron Meya(in charge of transporting the ammunition) who was standing in front of the warehouse ready to receive them. Aaron stretched his hands out in order to grasp a handshake from Ashley then Davina.
“Where are the Lengs?” Davina asked, avoiding the handshake with Aaron and heading straight into the warehouse to inspect the goods, just a perfect explanation of 'Straight to business' or 'not beating about the bush'.
When it comes to her tasks, the parts Davina loved the most were her weapon. She could easily determine the kind of guns used just by hearing the sound or smell of it.
Davina smiled beautifully at the site of the different varieties of small arms sitting peacefully right in front of her. Her hands traveled round the arms as she couldn’t contain her excitement any longer.
“Do you know why I love revolvers?” she asked no one in particular. "Because it enables several shots to be fired without having to reload." She answered, kissing the revolver in a romantic manner.
“What about Burners and Pieces? She asked again, referring to no one in particular. “Burners can hardly be traced to their real owners while Pieces are perfect for my tiny under pocket,” She continued.
Anyone seeing Davina at that moment would think she just found her long lost love.
She was so engrossed in her fantasies that she didn’t realize that time was far spent and that she was also talking to herself all along as Ashley, Aaron and the other workers were already busy organizing and packaging the Arms for their various clients.
“erm….erm….erm…..be…be fast out that guys, time’s not on our side." She said in a crooked voice feeling a bit embarrassed on realizing she had been talking to air.
“We would have been long done with this if we had just a bit more hand." Ashley replied, giving her a scornful glare which Davina reacted to with a coy smile.
“I need to get some fresh air, get a drink or something and also make out time to inform our clients that goods are on board, call me when you are done." Davina said walking out of the warehouse and into her Black SUV.
FEW MILES AWAY FROM WHERE AMMUNITION WERE BEEN DISCHARGED....................
Miller drove into the western edge of Bayview Eureka where his vacation home was located. He had been meaning to take a short break from work for some time now even though he was the workaholic type. Though infuriated by his sudden suspension, he took it as an opportunity to explore and have some fun.
Parking his Golden coloured Ford just right in front his huge vacation home, he called his elder brother who was staying at Henderson to try and check up on him down in Eureka anytime he was less busy as he knew well that he was the busy type because of his demanding profession.
On ending the call, he offloaded his luggage and moved swiftly into his house looking tired and stressed out due to the long distance journey he just embarked on.
“I really need a quiet place to relax and have a glass of wine or two.” he said whilst getting ready to step out of his house and start his exploration that night.
