Bennett in his suit and tie are in my door way “What are you doing here Bennett?” I command “ I told you I would be here at 6, why are you not ready?” Oh i could tell he is angry. “Bennett i told you i would not be attending.” “I know what you said but i also told you to be ready by 6, you must really like defying me” he has grabbed my waist, All of my blood are rushing to my lady parts. We reach ground level and out the doors i see his car. He opens the door for me, I’m worried that i will rip my dress by sitting. My eyes dart to Bennett’s left side, he grabs me a bit closer as she appears, i recognize her. What is Debra doing here? “How dare you insult me by bringing another women home, our divorce was finalized hours ago and you already have new candy on your arm..” He grabs my hand tightly before pushing her into a private area, guess he was thought to have anger in private. “Deb what i do with my personal time is none of your concern you didn’t even wait for the divorce to climb into bed with my best friend.” She’s staring at me i can feel it, Bennett has yet to let go. He pulls me in the direction of the door to let Debra ponder in what was just said, as i turn “Kelly? He is just like his father.” Her words hurt him i could feel it in his grip. I just stand there looking at him. “Go home Deb, you are no longer welcome here.” And just like that he pulled me out of the room. He was hurting i could tell, i wished i could help him. We go to a private part of the garden. I lean my head into him trying to comfort him. I don’t know much about this man but, it is very clear i can’t let him go. “I’m sorry you had to go through that she was not to be here, i made sure my parents didn’t send her the invite.”

“What happened Bennett?” I ask “If it is to personal than don’t bother i understand.”
