"Why didn't you tell me my favorite child was coming?" My mother joked as she untangled herself from Theo's warm embrace. "Because you would have told me to stay in New York and just let him come," Jackson explained with a laugh as he pulled Maddie close to him and my mother laughed. "Oh right!" She said and we all laughed. My mother was still under the impression Theo James was an angel. "It's good to see you too, Willow." Theo said and his deep velvety voice made my ears perk up. "Theo, my boy!" My father said as they did a manly handshake hug thing. "John! How's business going?" Theo asked with his charming smile and my father grinned. "Better than ever," He said and my heart began to beat as it was now my turn to greet him. I don't know where all this nervousness was coming from because I've never been this nervous around Theo. Maybe it was because he got really really hot? He turned my way and his smile widened as he looked down at me. Last time he saw me was when I was a little girl and I was proud that I was more womanly now. "Sunshine!"He greeted and picked me up in a hug and spun me around like my brother did," It's been too long. What are you 32 now?" He asked with amused eyes and I laughed. "I'm almost 18 but good try," I said and he rolled his eyes playfully and put me down. He was just as tall as Jackson but he was definitely more muscular. Jackson was skin and bones always has been. Theo's chocolate brown hair was the same as it was when he was younger but a little longer on top and his skin was still golden like the sun and him where best friends. He wore a blue t-shirt that constricted against his muscles as he picked up his heavy suitcase to put in the truck. He definitely kept in shape in college that's for sure. "So thanks to your wonderful surprise we don't have enough seats so Grace you're going to have to lap up."My mother said and I groaned to myself. When you’re as small as I am you're always the last one to consider with comfort in small spaces. "Nose goes!" My brother shouted and he touched his nose and Maddie followed suit with a laughed and everyone chimed in besides an unaware Theo who was busy putting all the luggage in the back of the truck. "Theo you're the chosen one!" Maddie cheered and he closed the bed of the truck with furrowed eyebrows. "Sorry what?" He asked and my mother told him the scenario and he stared at me intently as she spoke," No problem," He said with a shrug and we all piled into the truck. I waited by the door nervously. I was going to be really close to now freakishly hot Theo. When I was younger he was attractive in a boyish way and I do admit to having a crush on him in my youth. Now that he was so manly and rugged looking I think my small crush of attraction is coming back. Theo swept by me and a wave of wonderfully scented cologne washed over me and it made my knees go weak. It was so earthy and made me want to take a step closer to get another sniff. He climbed into my dad's way too tall man truck and he settled in. He looked over at me expectantly and smiled,"All aboard the Theo train," He joked trying to lighten the awkwardness and I giggled nervously as I grabbed the handle and hoisted myself up and I sat on his lap. Everyone in the car was content and unaware of the awkwardness I was experiencing. With nowhere to put his hands, he rested them on my hips and It made an unfamiliar ache in my stomach accrue. I groaned at the fact it was a long drive from the airport to my house so this awkwardness was going to be here for a while. Theo seemed to be content as he joked with my family and when he laughed the vibrations ran over my back. "John what are you doing, the exit was back there?" my mother asked my father from the passenger seat. "Just a short cut, love!" he said as he patted her leg reassuringly and he turned down a gravel road," Things are about to get bumpy, guys," My dad informed everyone and I heard a faint curse behind me and I turned my head and looked down at Theo. "Are you okay?" I asked him as I furrowed my eyebrows and looked into his chocolate brown eyes. His jaw was clenched as we went over bumps and I shifted around on his lap."Are you car sick?" I asked quietly not wanting to worry the others. "Something like that, Sunshine," He said with pursed lips as his hands tightened on my hips to keep me still. "See short cut!"My father said as we pulled out onto a smooth road near my house. Theo visibly relaxed and his hands relieved their tight grip he had on my hip. Hmm I didn't know he had motion sickness. "Are you staying at the house or are you going to your moms?" My mother asked Theo when she turned around to face him. Theo sent a look to Jack and Jackson's eyes widened and he cursed under his breath. "s**t sorry mom I forgot to ask if it was okay if he did stay in the guest bedroom! Jane is remodeling their house," My brother explained and my mother nodded. "It's alright I'm sure there's a motel I can stay at nearby," Theo said and my mother quickly shook her head negative. "Absolutely not you're practically family, of course, you can stay!" My mother said with a warm smile and Theo grinned. "Thank you, Willow," Theo said and she waved it off and watched as my dad pulled into the driveway. "Alright get your s**t, kids!" My father said as he hopped out of the car. "John!" My mother scolded and he laughed and smacked her butt when he swiftly passed her. It was weird but I was glad to see my parents were still in love. I quickly hopped off Theo's lap and jumped out of the car. "Do you guys need help carrying anything?" I asked and Maddie shook her head. "No we're fine, thank you for asking though," She said with a sweet smile that I couldn't help but return. I walked into the house and decided on watching a movie. It was 7 and we already ate dinner so I didn't have much to do so I got comfy on the couch and began to flip through movies.Pretty soon after everyone got their luggage in they all wondered into the living room. I loved our living room because it was so calming. The colors were soft and it always smelled amazing because my mother always lit incense to "cleanse" the house. "What are we watching?" My brother asked as he laid his lanky body on the long couch and Maddie fell on top of him. He groaned and moved around so she was in front of him and he could spoon her. Theo looked around and shrugged before sitting down beside me on the love seat. I was going to move my feet but he just picked them up and set them on his lap. I thought it would be rude to move them now. "Not sure yet, I'm between Donny Darko and Signs," I said as I scrolled through them and I looked at Jackson. "Signs sounds good," he said and I shrugged and clicked it to play. I snuggled into my blanket because it was freezing in the living room. Theo kindly covered my legs with the blanket but kept his hands underneath it so his hands could rest on my legs. The opening credits began to roll and all I could think about was his thumb drawing circles on my ankle and I thanked God again for reminding me to shave this morning. "We're going to bed, kids!" My mom said from the doorway of the living room. I smiled at her and watched as her harem pants flowed when she walked. "G'night!" We all said in unison and she disappeared down the hall to her bedroom where my dad was probably fast asleep. He and my mother go to bed very early because they wake up way too early.I watched the Sci-fi movie till my eyes began to fight to stay open but soon it became impossible and I succumbed to sleep. I wish I could have stayed awake longer because the movie was one of my favorites. A cat fight outside woke me from my sleep. I heard the hissing outback and I cursed my mom for feeding the strays because now they always hang around waiting for food and getting into fights. I looked around and saw the movie had finished and the screen was now blue. The fluorescent color lit the dark room and I could see the couch beside me was vacant meaning Jack and Maddie went upstairs to bed. I felt something fall onto my side and I looked down and blushed.Theo had fallen over from his seated position and his face was pressed into my stomach and his arm had swung around my legs to use my body as a pillow. A soft snore left his plump lips. This wasn't helping the little crush I had developed. I tried to pull away but the sudden movement made him pull me closer and prevent me from leaving. I had to wake him up if I wanted free. I wouldn't hear the end of it if someone caught us sleeping like this in the morning. I patted his soft chocolate hair and he stirred slightly and then I poked his cheek and that sent his hand flying to swat it away and I yelped in surprise. "Why are you touching my face?" He asked with his eyes closed and face still pressed into my stomach. "I'm kinda stuck because you're using me as a human pillow," I said and he smacked his lips as he woke up slowly and looked around. "We fell asleep," He said stating the obvious and I nodded not wanting to be rude and reply with a sassy comeback. "Yeah I missed my favorite part in the movie," I said trying to relive the awkwardness of him untangling himself from me and sitting up, but he seemed perfectly fine about it. "We could finish it tomorrow if you want?" He said and gave me a lazy smile as he scratched his already bed head hair. I shrugged," It's alright I've seen it hundreds of times." I said and stood up. I looked down at him and for some reason, he looked disappointed. "You okay?" I asked and he shook his head like he was clearing his thoughts. "Yeah I'm fine," he said as he stood up and walked towards the back door. "I'll be in in a minute," "Alright g'night!" I said and walked up the stairs to my bedroom to finish my night's rest.
