ADRIA
.
Adria was lying down on her bed as she scrolled through a parchment paper when the door to her bedroom sprung open.
She looked at the direction of the opened door as she saw her sister puffing out smoke from her mouth through a cigarette. Adria coughed as she tried her best to wave off the excessive smoke that has covered the air like a blanket.
Aria looked upset. Adria could tell that her sister was in a black mood because she only smokes when she's angry, worried or upset about something.
"What happened again Aria?" Adria asked as she stared solemnly at her twin. Her twin rarely gets upset so whatever's bothering her has to be huge to put her in a mood like this. She stood up from her bed and walked up to her sister who was rummaging through her clothes.
"Xavier found his mate so we cannot be f**k buddies anymore" Aria replied conversationally as though it didn't bother her at all but Adria knew better. She knew how much Xavier meant to her sister and how this news has tore deep into her skin.
She should feel sorry for her but she knows her twin. Xavier leaving her is only an avenue for sexing other men that catches her fancy.
Aria doesn't let anyone in but she knew better to sleep around with different men so what did she expect. Sometimes she even wonders if indeed they are sisters.
"I do not want to be dragged into this. You made your bed so you should lie on it" Adria spoke softly as she returned to take her position back on the bed.
"Of course you don't" Aria snapped.
Adria raised her chin up to her twin defiantly "Do you know how many times that Xavier has tried to grab me because he thinks that I'm you? I was almost raped by that perverted bastard so it's only befitting that you've stopped seeing him so that he won't have any reason to mistake us for one another"
"I know that Xavier wasn't my mate but we had a good thing going on Adria. Something that you won't understand. You're mother Theresa after all and I'm Aria, the no good daughter of Alpha Cullman"
Adria felt really bad for her sister. She knew that she was hurt but she rarely opens up about her feelings so she cannot help her.
Aria threw some clothes on the bed and that is what got Adria's attention.
"Where are you going? It's late?" She inquires but her sister paid no attention to her outbursts of unending questions.
"So now you want to get involved?" She asked mockingly "Strawberry Island" the name rolled out of her tongue while Adria stared at her in disbelief.
"You're going to the non-changeling world? Again?"
"They have the best drinks and I want to get wasted and probably find myself a hot guy to f**k" Aria drawled with raised eyebrows.
"If father finds out then he will be upset. He will lash at us."
"I'll do a quick run and come back home later. Father doesn't have to know"
"But—"
"Nothing Adria. Sometimes you just have to live a little" Aria interrupted "Now stay away from me" she picked up her clothes and exited her bedroom to change.
Adria, scared that her sister might do something stupid and wind into trouble, decided to go out with her so that she'll keep her in check cause she knows that troubles follows Aria everywhere. If she wasn't looking for trouble, then trouble was looking for her. They work hand in hand just like the law of karma.
*.*.*
Adria walked into the club with her sister as her eyes scanned the entire premise.
Why would anyone want to visit a place as disgusting as this? Her wolf is restless. She wants to go home.
She isn't supposed to be here in the first place but she can't help it. The only reason she came here was because she wanted her sister Aria to go back home with her and since the latter was being stubborn about it, her only resort was babysitting her for the night.
Adria knows that if her father finds out that she's out here in the human world without any form of protection, there's no telling what he might do to them. To her. She's supposed to be the levelheaded and responsible one. She's supposed to be looking out for her. She was the youngest alright but she acts like the eldest when it came down to matters like this.
Aria is always fond of breaking the rules. She was the wild and irresponsible one and sometimes it baffled her that they were twins. They were both as different as night and day. Two polar opposites. The Luna twins as most changelings normally calls them.
"Aria let's go home please" she pleaded to her sister who doesn't look interested at what she just said.
"I didn't force you to come with me. You took it upon yourself to be my babysitter for tonight so deal with it." Aria snapped at her twin.
"I feel like I'm being watched from different angles" she complained as she looked around the room to see different pairs of eyes staring and ogling at her.
You don't get to see two beautiful women in the club everyday.
"It's called eye-f*****g so get used to it if you want to survive this night with me"
"But Aria-" she trauled off but her twin interrupted her with a glass of drink.
"Here, drink this. I'll be right back" Aria handed her a glass of vodka before she stormed off and Adria drowned the entire content in one gulp.
Adria waited patiently for Aria as she felt herself getting tipsy by the minute. Her sister hasn't returned and she was getting more restless by the minute. What if something had happened to her? What if she got into trouble and needs her help?
This and many thoughts ran helplessly through her mind so she took it upon herself to search for her and boy will she get an earful when she sees her.
She is about to go through the back exit when she felt her wolf getting restless all of a sudden. This is new. She has never felt this way before. That scent! It is too powerful but yet again it is too enthralling. What could smell so divine to the point of triggering her wolf. She felt a sudden ache between her legs and she decided to trace where it was coming.
She turned around and her brown Hazelnut eyes came in contact with the deepest pair of blue eyes that she has even seen. She stood for a while to admire and worship this tall built up figure with broad shoulders but then she knew that she needed to find her sister and fast.

CULLEN
.
Cullen had no intention of visiting the club that night but Degar insisted that they come and hang out a bit since he was done for the day with the work they both came here to do.
It took a lot of persuading and convincing on Degar's part to actually bring him to Strawberry island. He needed a break. He knew that Cullen was stressed but he would never admit to it.
He saw how busy he had worked himself these past few days and decided to make him let off some steam no matter who goes short and now here they are.
"Velez is calling my Lord" he spoke up the minute they entered the club. The music from the speakers was too loud so he had to tune in his Cougar ears so that he would hear him properly.
"It must be important. Take the call and meet me inside when you're done" he commanded
"Yes my lord" he quickly placed the phone on his ears and exited the club. Cullen located a free spot on the VIP section and got in to sit down.
It was at this moment, he smelled her. The prehormones were too thick that it blinded his nostrils.
Just then, he felt his wolf becoming restless.
Damn! He got angry because he knew what it meant. After thirty years, he couldn't believe that he has finally found her. But it's such an unlikely place to find his mate. This is why he never wanted to come here in the first place. This is why he shouldn't have listened to Degar.
He knew the exact moment she rushed outside the club and he also knew the exact moment when she was attacked.
Cullen wanted nothing more than to ignore the woman who he had just found out is his mate. He wanted nothing to do with her but when he heard the sound of their corked gun and her high-pitched scream, he felt his wolf awaken and at the same time bared its teeth in alert.
He had always thought that he would be able to control himself should Incase a time comes when he meets his mate but it is proving to be the complete opposite of what he had hoped. It's almost like he is being drawn by an invisible pull.
Although he still tried to ignore but he was still able to hear her strangled scream. They were hurting her. The realization made his wolf restless which also made him restless.
So he stood up from his table and made his way towards the direction of her screams, all these while, battling with his inner wolf and trying to protest the action of going to help which he knew was futile. He opened the back door that led to the exit outside the bar only to meet an unforgiving sight.
His mate was being dragged into a car by a group of armed men who he suspected to be wolfhunters. His wolf growled in anger as he felt himself getting agitated and ready to pounce on them. The bloody bastards!
