Chaper 1.
It all began in the middle East of Valhalla, where the trees grew as tall as the castle standing tall and proud with no sorrow of a day old. People found Valhalla to be the place they could call home and so they did. Families grew by the day. It was a place of no hate or sorrow, for there were no reasons for those feelings until one day it all began. Valhalla was a strong place and no one ever dared to attack them or betray them in any way possible, for they knew what could be the outcome for those actions. It was a stormy and cold night but it was not as any other night that Valhalla has ever seen. People were scared because trees fell as the lightning struck them. The people of Valhalla lost their houses that night and some even lost their lives from drowning in the lower streets of Valhalla.
The king was not prepared for this and he saw what the storm has done to his own village in a matter of seconds and it really upset him, he could not bear to stand and watch what it did to his own kind. So he took action and said to his guards to open the hall so that the people could take shelter and be safe from the storm. Everyone heard the shouting of the guards calling out to the people that they should run to the hall and take shelter. The people did not think twice about going. One of the king’s guards ran to him. “My lord there is not enough space for all these people” the guard said and the king reapplied with no stutter, “So make space! Everything that you can move should go outside.” The guards began moving everything possible and as they went on the king’s messenger ran up to him and started talking. “My lord it’s your daughter.” “What? Is she back?” The king asked. “No my lord its worse than that” The king stared at him expecting the worst and he asked; “Is she dead?” “No” the man replied. “Then what is going on?” he asked. “My lord all of the soldiers was killed.” “Killed?” The king asked. “Killed by whom?” “Not who sir, what” the man replied and kept on talking , “It was a creature.” “A creature? What kind of creature could have killed all of my best men?” The man answered with no hesitation and said it was a dragon that killed them. “And what about my daughter?” “No she is still alive my lord.”
She is trapped and has no chance of getting out at all but, the king did not notice that he was not with them and also that he knew what happened there. The king was under a lot of stress at the time and the messenger took advantage of it as far as he could. The king asked “Is all of my best soldiers dead?” “Yes my lord all of them.” The king did not know what to do or to say because his best fighter’s was dead and he could not send some of his guards to help because he would have send them to their deaths. He could not go to help himself because, what will happen to Valhalla if he is not there? In a corner not too far from the kings thrown was a man that listened in on their conversation, he walked forward and said I believe I can help. The king stared him down as if he was trying to be funny. “You ?” The king asked the man. “And what would you’re name be? And why should I trust you with the future of Valhalla?” The man started with “My name is Parsaville the 3rd.”
The king stood there and asked him to why he thinks he can step forward and say what he did. The man started to talk and this is what he said. “I know you won’t know me but you would know my father’s before me”. The king stood there confused “What is your last name?” he asked Parsavile. “The Grate Parsavile the Grate, my fathers name was Henry the Grate.” The king stood there in shock, “I did not know your dad had any children.” “I know”, Parsavile answered “It was to protect us.” The king’s messenger stood there and started to shiver in fear and knew he should get out of Parsavile’s way and not to draw any unwanted attention to him. “Okay, Parsavile I will give you a chance. I will get men to escort you to where my daughter is held up by the dragon. You must leave before the storm blocks off all the exits! You can choose one weapon of your choice” said the king. “So what would it be Parsavile the 3rd?” “I will take the dagger that was my father’s when he lived and fought beside you.” “A dagger?” The king asked. “You know it is a dragon and not a rat.” “Yes I am quite aware.” He said and asked for the dagger again. “Okay, as you wish” “Guards take him to the vault at ones.”
Parsavile and a few of the kings guards left Valhalla that awful night on a Nobel quest to save the kings daughter not knowing that the king was in danger himself. They were an hour into the trip to the kings daughter. All looked good for them the weather was clear for them and it made it better for them because the horses and the muddy roads was a bad combination.
Back at the castle the king started to notice that the messenger knew to much for someone that was not there to see what had happened. He knew that the messenger was up to no good , so he called upon to him to see him in private, to find out if he can catch him in the act. Locus was the messengers name and the king could see that he had been sweating like he was running a mile or so. “Locus how did you know what had happened if you were not there to see?” The man just stood there and did not know what to say to the king. He adjusted his body to run away and take cover for some reason. The king noticed and he called out to the guards standing outside the door but nothing happened. The man darted to the nearest door but he could not get out so he swiftly pulled out his small knife that he had hidden in his belt and as he turned around to attack the king the king pointed his sward at the mans neck. and said “Drop it or I will have no other choice but to kill you and believe me I will do so.” “Okay! I am sorry, please I have a family” the man cried to his king. The king had no sympathy for the man as he knew he had something to do with the dragon that is holding his daughter captive. He pressed the sword even harder against his neck. The guards stormed in and they could not believe their eyes. “Come! Take this man” the king had shouted to his guards. As they walked away the king stopped them and asked “Why did you not come when I called you?” They said “my lord we are not the guards that were guarding the door.”
“Where are they?” the king asked at once. “Dead my lord.”
Parsavile and the guards reached the place where the king’s daughter was held captive. Parsavile told the guards to stay put at the horses as he had a plan for one man only. He went to the biggest rock to climb onto it and scout the area to see if he could not see the king’s daughter and were the dragon was located at. It did not take him long to find the dragon for the dragon was really big and loud. He kept on scouting for the daughter. After a while looking, he found her, hiding in a small place, the dragon could not reach. Then he started with his plan that he made in his head on the way to her. Parsavile was not a guy that had any fear but that day on that exact moment he felt fear for almost the first time in his life, he did not like it one bit.
He got out his dads old dagger and walked closer to where the dragon was he started doubting his plan that he had. As he got closer he taught what if I picked up a rock and distracted the dragon and then get the daughter to safety. It seemed like a good plan at first until he did it the dragon heard the rock fall as Parsavile threw the rock as hard as he could. But the dragon was a lot smarter than he taught. The dragon started looking around and he spotted Parsavile. He began to ran as fast as he could but the dragon was faster than him and it was almost as if the dragon was a step ahead of Parsavile.
The dragon nearly hit him with the fire that came from his mouth but, Parsavile managed to dodge the flames that came his way. He ran to the dragon to stab his eye out and as he did it the dragon rumbled and shaked him of and as he fell to the ground the dragon clubbed him with his tail and Parsavile went of flying to the side. The dragon went closer to kill him but the king’s daughter made a very loud noise by tumbling the rocks over and the dragon started going for her. Parsavile saw that as an opportunity to finish the dragon off for good. He ran up the dragon from his tail and stabbed the dragon in the neck but it did not do anything. The dragon just shooked his head. Parsavile tried climbing further up the dragon, but instead slid down , grabbed hold of the chane dangling from the dragons neck. and stabbed him right in the heart a few times. The dragon went tumbling to his death as the dragon laid there, Parsavile walked up to him and stabbed him in the eye, dead. The kings daughter walked up to Parsavil and asked “Who the hell are you and why are you here?”
“Well good day to you too” he said. “She did not think he was funny at all and asked him if he knew who she is. He said he knew real good who she is and that it was her father that send him to save her. “Okay but that still does not give me your name.” “My name is Parsavile” he replied and she stood there waiting for him to ask what her name was. But he did not ask, and turned around and said “Come I’ll take you home to your father, that is waiting on your arrival.” “No!” she replied to him and staid stationery. “No? After I saved you that is the kind of thank you that I get?” ‘Well you did not ask for my name then so how must I feel now?” Hum gratefull I will guess you know after you got saved from a fire breathing dragon.” She just stood there and said nothing. But Parsavile hasn’t got time for this so he asked her what is her name so that she could go with him and so that he could get home to his mother that was also waiting for him. “Well if you must know it is Layla.” “Okay Layla can we go now?” “Okay fine take me to my father then. She said”
“Where are they?” The king asked and Locus laughs in an evil way “shut up!” The king shouted and asked him why he was laughing. “Don’t you get it? They are dead the dragon roasted them alive and they will never return back ever again and he went on laughing about it.” The king stabbed him in the leg and said he better pray they show up or he will be hung at first light. “Guards did you find out why my men at the door is dead?” “Yes my lord it seems that they were poisoned.” “Poisoned? Who would do such thing?” The king asked Locus if he had anything to do with this and the man did not look good as he lost a lot of blood. The king rushed him to the place he could be helped. He is at least an hour in there so the king went in to check up on him and the man would survive they stitched his leg up real good.
“How far till the castle?” “About 5 minutes one of the guards replied and grindned.” Parsavile whispered to Layla “Do this men look like they are up to no good to you too?” “I am glad that it is not just me that noticed it.” The two of them was curious of what their plan was and kept them and the roads in their eyes the whole time. That was when they took a turn for the worst and they immediately knew this is a trap. They attacked them as fast as they could and as they did, they crashed into a pond that was near the roads. They held the men so that they could not do anything or escape.
“What is your plan with us?” One of the guards asked and Layla said “It depends on what you wanted to do with us?” “What do you mean? We are taking you to the castle” “No you are not!” Parsavile interrupted the men and said; “This is not the road to the castle, so start talking and you better make it my time worth or I will kill you on this very day. And believe me I will.” “Okay! It was Locus he paid us to take you els where anywhere but the castle.” “Locus?” Parsavile asked “isn’t he your” “yes” Layla interrupted him “but why would he do such a thing?” “We don’t know all we know is that we must keep you from the castle I promise.” “Okay then go back to the castle now!” “We can’t if he sees us, he will kill our families.” Parsavile told them that if he sees them, they have to tell him that we got killed by the dragon and did not know what to do, so you went back to ask him. Both of the men agreed to do so as they walked on to the horses Layla asked Parsavile how he is planned to get back to the castle. He turned around and smiled. “We are going to walk back.”
