He caught her with a very smug facial expression stuck on her face. "What is that look for?" He demanded in annoyance. She looked at him and he saw her face crawl up with a smile that told him she had something up her sleeve. "Heyy. Stop looking at me like that." He said. She gave a coy smile. "Is that jealousy that i sense from your end, my lord?" He eyed her up and down. Did she just call him my lord? Despite how short he had known her, he was not stupid to know that she was mocking him. And how she just called him jealous. He laughed aloud, like a very wild roar. When he was done, he looked at Deni. "Me? Jealous? Deni the English in your head and blood must have made you really lose it." He came down from his horse and held his reigns and walked down to get a clearer view of the steep rocks below. "Well if you are not jealous, then why are you worried about me speaking to Richard." She asked me. He frowned. "Because you are now wife and you are not to talk to my men. Your job is to simply care for my needs." "How bloody archaic!" She snapped. He looked at her sharply. "My wife will not sear at me, I will not tolerate such unwanting behaviour." "But you swear all the time my lord and if my lord swears then so shall I. And for God's sake this is the twelfth century! Who on earth still believes that their wife ought to be simply kept for taking care of her hsuband's needs. I have other duties as a woman and I will not condone such ghastly and beastly attitude from you." "Do you know what my men and people from Scotland do when we have a woman who disobeys her husband?" He said trying to make her afraid. She folded her hand and said. "Tell me." "Well if you must know. We beat up and tie women who are disobedient and have them strapped to the market pole naked to face the village." He said. He pushed a branch aside as he went by. "That is barbaric." She snorted behind him. "Try me and see." He said. He watched as she came down from her horse and her face was red. "You are a monster!" She snapped. Why did he secretly enjoy pulling her legs and making fun of her? But he found that him being domineering over her pleased him very much. "That I have been called a good number of times." He said. Her face went even redder and she stormed off to God knew where. "For the love of God Deni where the bloody hell do you think you are going?" He demanded. "Far away from you!" She hissed. "You are a horrible man and I want nothing to do with you! I shall go back home to England where i belong. Moreover you do not wish to have me around so I shall be on my way." "You are going back to England? You won't even last a minute on your own." He said. "I'll prove it to you. Just you ait and see. I'll go back to England and I'll never have to see your ugly face again. Your hideous face!" "Alright let us see how long you can last on your own." He said. Who was she kidding? That she would find her way to england "Deni." No response. He waited for a while. "Deni you can come back now." He said. She did not reply. Where the hell had this woman gone to? They were supposed to be looking for Bard and now here he was with a very stubborn wife with an uncount mouth. "Deni!" He snapped louder. But there was no response. And then he heard a loud scream. "Deni!" * * * Deni's point of view He was going to see! She was going to show him! How dare he humiliate her? First he had refused to listen to her when she had told him that her saddle had been tampered with. And then he had refused to have her go with Richard, who was the only man amongst them willing to even talk to her. She heard him call out to her, but she ignored him. Even her own supposed husband was ignoring her! And he had gone further to say that she was only to attend to his needs! How dare he! Was she a lamb that was just sold of to sacrificial slaughter? Well, now that she thought of it, she HAD been sold off to sacrificial slaughter. She had given herself up just because she cared about her sisters. She was going to find her way back to England. She would show him that she could make it out of here! As she passed through the trees, angel neighed violently. "Easy girl." She cooed to her horse. "Easy I am here girl and no harm will come to you. I promise." She calmed Angel and the horse listened. Then she held her reigns and pulled her forward. As she walked past a tree branch. She saw a mutilated body of a man and she screamed aloud. She looked closer and saw that he had exactly Alaric's plaid. But she ha dnot seen him or recalled him as one of the men who had come on the journey with them. Then she knew instantly that it was Bard. The man they had all scattered to look for. Then she started to take steps back. From nowhere she looked up and saw a man appear behind the leaves and then she saw another and another and another. She swallowed and held Angel's reigns and tried going back from where she came from very slowly but she came bumping into a heard body. She turned around and saw a very very large man. She screamed.
