ORLANDO PHINEAS JR.
My hands balled into fists draining the blood in both of them. My fingers felt numb as I imagined squeezing the life out of Vela with these hands.
Vela had walked into my office like she owned the place. I made it clear doing our last meeting that it was our last meeting. She had taken it well so why the f**k was she back.
I struggled to control my anger. I wasn't angry at Miss Summers; I was angry at myself. It was unfair to have treated her the way I just did. f**k!
Vela sounded half crazy while she tried to seduce me in my office. The delusional b***h had actually implored me to f**k her then and there. She had grinded her body on my groin whispering to me how she had forgotten to wear her panties.
It had taken all I had to reject her. She was a psychotic b***h but hot nonetheless. Her efforts had gotten me erect but I wasn't going to give her an opening to slither into my life.
Shit! I cursed remembering how I'd spoken to Miss Summers. I had to make it right before she leaves. I could hear her in the other room. It sounded like she was getting ready to leave.
What could I possibly say to her to make me sound less of an asshole? Apologies were never a strong suit for me yet I knew it was the only way to stop my new secretary from hating me on the first day.
It took a lot of effort but I got up and rushed out to her office. She was just about to pick up her bag. She froze when she saw me coming towards her. Her beautiful face held a look that was unmistakable. She was terrified.
What could I possibly say to her to make it all go away?
"You're leaving already?"
My voice came out husky and there was a hint of uncertainty. I could only imagine what she must think of me at that moment.
"Look I didn't mean to cut you the way I did. I lost it." I said looking away.
It was easier that way. Her eyes would possibly make it difficult. I paused to take a deep breath.
"What I'm trying to say is I didn't mean what I said back there. I don't want Vela coming in here is all."
She nodded slowly. "I understand sir."
Her voice poked large holes in my pride. She sounded different; subdued. I wasn't sure what I could possibly say to make it go away. So I said the only thing that came to my mind. "How about I drop you off."
She hesitated for a while. "Sure."
"Thank you sir."
The drive was more awkward than the conversation we had in the office. There was a deep silence from the beginning that stretched out for a long time. She seemed to be comfortable with the silence but I wasn't.
"If we have to go through another minute in silence, I'm steering off road into the nearest dann tree."
Miss Summers turned sharply. She seemed to be amused which was a step up from the terrified expression she had kept for so long.
"I'd rather not die on my first day, sir. Though you broke the silence with that bold announcement." She said smiling.
It wasn't the full radiating smile I was hoping for but it was a smile. I tried to focus on the road instead of the woman sitting beside me. The traffic was light around this time; an hour late and we would have been stuck with the work crowd fighting to get home and the annoying constant red traffic lights.
"The silence was a slower death. Running into a tree would have been messy and exciting."
She gasped. "You sound like you do this a lot. Offer to drive your secretaries home just to run into trees with them in the car."
I shrugged. "There's only one way to find out."
The sound of her laughter jolted my nucleus. Every moment she made when she laughed was sensual and alluring. Her luscious lips curled in a pout when her laughter stopped.
I tried not to stare too much at her breasts as they forced her shirt forward. I could just make out the outline of her n*****s if I focused well enough. It was hard enough sitting down besides her. The sensual energy coming off her was irresistible.
"Take the next turn." She said in a soft voice.
It felt like a gentle caress.
"I've never been to this part of town before." I admitted as I watched the tall haunting buildings and half demolished shops.
There was a reason I hadn't been to that part of town yet and I could see it now. It was dangerous. I'd be lucky if I don't run into new bandit friends.
"You're probably the first billionaire I know who doesn't have a driver." She said.
After the accident it had taken a lot for me to recover. Hector hadn't been as lucky. He lost his ability to walk and when I did recover, I didn't see the need to have a driver anymore. I wasn't about to tell her all that so I just shrugged it off instead.
She gestured to a building and I pulled up beside it.
"Doesn't look that bad."
"It does." She grinned. "You should see it in the morning."
"Thanks for the ride."
Her phone vibrated. She fumbled in an attempt to grab it but it slipped away and fell on my side. Instinctively I reached for it. Our hands touched and it was like we got frozen in that moment. This time I looked up at her eyes and I knew immediately it was a mistake. The flame burning in her eyes would definitely consume me.
She gasped. "Uhm,"
Her words washed away. Our bodies moved against our will. We were pulling closer to each other giving into the pull of a higher power.
Just when we were about to make contact, there was a tap from outside. I looked up to see a woman looking in through the glass.
