For two years, Astraea has lived as the Luna of Moonfang Pack. She loves her husband, Alpha Cyrus, even though he has grown cold because she has not given him an heir.

On their wedding anniversary, Astraea finds Cyrus in bed with her best friend, Sera. Cyrus blames her for being barren, rejects her as his mate, and keeps her in the pack as nothing more than a toy for his desire.

Broken and desperate, Astraea prays to the Moon Goddess to end her suffering. Her prayer is answered in a strange way. Cyrus becomes a wolf during the day, while Astraea becomes a wolf at night. They can no longer exist in the same form.

But before Astraea can escape, Sera frames her for dark witchcraft. The pack believes the lie, and Astraea is executed with a silver blade. With her final breath, she begs for another life and a chance for revenge.

The Moon Goddess grants her wish.

Astraea is born again into the same fate, with the same mate and the same enemy. She remembers everything only after history begins repeating itself. This time, she knows every betrayal before it happens.

No longer the helpless, abused wife, Astraea steps into the light as a ruthless huntress. Armed with past-life memories, she systematically exposes Sera’s dark witchcraft, builds an untouchable power base, and guards a secret twin pregnancy that carries the dual magic of the sun and moon. Trapped in his own beast by day and haunted by returning memories by night, Cyrus is driven to his knees—desperately groveling to win back the mate he destroyed.

When past-life sins collide with an ancient apocalyptic war, will Astraea use her dominance to crush her former mate into dust, or can a broken Alpha earn redemption from a queen reborn?

CHAPTER 1: THE ANNIVERSARY BETRAYAL
(Astraea POV) I stood at the threshold of the Alpha suite, my fingers trembling slightly around the silk ribbon of the small, velvet box in my hands. Today marked two full years. Two years since Cyrus and I had bound our souls under the glowing moonlight as Alpha and Luna of the Moonfang Pack. Despite the cold distance that had slowly grown between us over my inability to conceive, my heart still held onto a fragile flicker of hope. I had spent the entire evening preparing his favorite meal, decorating our quarters with candles, waiting patiently for him to return from his border patrol. I wanted so desperately to remind him of the love we had once shared before the pressure of an heir threatened to pull us apart. The rich scent of sandalwood and winter rain filled the quiet corridor, but beneath it lay another distinct fragrance... sweet jasmine and lotus. I froze, my breath catching in my throat. That was Sera's scent. Why was my best friend inside Cyrus’s private quarters at midnight? A heavy, sickening knot twisted in my stomach. My wolf whined softly inside my chest, clawing at my ribs with a sudden, dark foreboding. Pushing the heavy double doors open, the silver velvet box slipped from my numb fingers, hitting the marble floor with a soft thud. The scene before me shattered my world into a thousand jagged pieces. Cyrus was pressed against the massive silk draped canopy bed, his shirt unbuttoned, his broad chest bare under the dim candlelight. And tangled beneath him, her silk gown torn at the shoulder, was Sera. "Cyrus...?" My voice broke into a fragile, trembling whisper, barely audible over the roaring in my ears. Sera gasped softly, pulling the satin sheet over her bare shoulders, her eyes widening with a carefully crafted expression of horror. "Astraea! Oh Goddess... it... it isn't what it looks like... please..." "Get out, Sera," Cyrus commanded softly, his voice utterly devoid of warmth or remorse. He didn't even jump back. He didn't look startled. His dark golden eyes were cold, almost glazed over with an unnatural shadow, yet his words slashed straight into my bleeding chest. "Cyrus, today... today is our anniversary," I choked out, hot tears instantly blinding my vision as I looked at my husband. "How could you? With my best friend? In our bed?" Cyrus stood up slowly, pulling on his trousers without an ounce of guilt. The mate bond between us thrummed with an excruciating, burning pain, twisting like red hot iron in my veins. "Anniversary?" Cyrus let out a dry, bitter laugh that vibrated with harsh Alpha authority. "And what exactly do we have to celebrate, Astraea? Two years of a childless pack? Two years of you failing to give me an heir?" "I have tried!" I cried out, taking a step forward, my hands reaching out in desperate supplication. "The pack healers said my body just needs time... Cyrus, please... look at me! I am your fated mate! I am your wife!" "Fated mate?" Cyrus sneered, closing the distance between us until his terrifying Alpha aura crushed down upon my shoulders, forcing me to gasp for air. He reached out, gripping my jaw with a force that bruised my skin. "A fated mate who is barren is nothing more than a useless burden to an Alpha. You have failed this pack, Astraea." Sera lingered near the edge of the bed, a secret, triumphant smirk flashing across her lips before she melted back into a submissive, pitiful posture. "Cyrus, please don't be too harsh on her... she didn't mean to fail you... she is just weak..." "Silence, Sera," Cyrus growled softly, though his thumb brushed over my trembling lip in a twisted, cruel parody of affection. "She needs to understand her worth. Or rather, her total lack of it." "Cyrus... please..." I sobbed, the bitter tears burning my pale cheeks as I stared into the cold eyes of the man I adored. "You loved me... you swore to protect me until the end of time..." "Love?" Cyrus tilted his head, his dark golden eyes flickering with a faint, chaotic storm for a brief second before hardening like cold stone once more. "I gave you two years to prove yourself. You gave me nothing. From this night on, you will no longer act as Luna. Your only purpose in my life... in this bed... will be whenever I demand relief for my heat. You are my s*x toy, Astraea. Nothing more." I felt as though my soul had been torn into shreds. The utter humiliation was a blade plunging repeatedly into my chest. "You monster... I won't let you treat me like this! I will leave!" Cyrus laughed, a dark, smooth sound that chilled me to the bone. "Leave? You belong to me, Astraea. Your body, your breath, your very life. You cannot leave without my permission, and I will never grant it." He shoved me backward, and I fell heavily onto the hard marble floor, my knees bruising against the stone. Sera walked over, placing a gentle hand on Cyrus's arm while casting a pitying look down at me. "I am so sorry, Astraea," Sera whispered, her voice dripping with artificial sweetness. "But the pack needs a strong Luna... and Cyrus needs a real woman who can bear his bloodline." I stared at the two of them... the man I had loved with every fiber of my spirit, and the woman I had trusted with my deepest secrets. The mate bond screamed in agony, pulling at my heart, threatening to shatter my sanity completely. Cyrus stepped forward, his massive frame casting a terrifying shadow over my trembling form. His golden eyes flared with absolute, unyielding Alpha authority. "You think you have a choice, Astraea?" Cyrus sneered, his voice vibrating through the stone walls. He straightened his back, lifting his chin as he pronounced the words that would shatter my existence forever. "I, Cyrus, Alpha of the Moonfang Pack, hereby reject you, Astraea, as my mate and as the Luna of this pack." The moment the words left his lips, an invisible blade seemed to slice through my chest. "No... Cyrus, please...!" I shrieked, clutching my chest as a blinding, agonizing heat surged through my veins. The golden threads of the mate bond snapped with a devastating, spiritual explosion. It felt as if my heart were being ripped raw from my ribcage, burning with liquid fire. I collapsed onto my hands and knees, gasping for air, my vision swimming in crimson tears. Sera stepped beside Cyrus, a dark, triumphant spark flashing in her eyes as she subtly intertwined her fingers with his. "It is for the best, Astraea. An Alpha needs a true female, not a broken shell." I looked up through my tears, my chest heaving as the torment of the severed bond wrecked my soul. "You... you rejected me... after everything..." "I rejected you as my Luna," Cyrus corrected coldly, his voice echoing like a death knell. "But I never said you could leave. You remain here under my control. You will serve this pack from the shadows, and when I call for you in the dark... you will obey." "I would rather die!" I screamed, my broken heart turning into pure, unadulterated fury.
