4 | Let Me Taste Your Mouth

1483 Words
Luke never turned up to school, a part of me was worried but he probably had things going on with the bills and all. I sat by myself, thinking of the conversation between me and Damon. As I repeated the address in my head, a fire inside of me lit. I wanted to find out what he does, and what the deal was. I analysed him, every single aspect. He doesn’t talk to anyone; he’s closed minded and hates when people get inside his business. A part of me want to know if my brother knows. Why was Damon so interesting to me? Why did I care? Watching Damon talking to Jake and the group of cheerleaders around them, one of the caught my eyes. I glance down at my father’s necklace; I wonder if he knows how I’m doing? Does he call mum to check up on us? I glance up, seeing Luke rushing towards my table. My head snaps to Damon, his eyes staring daggers into the back of his head. “Listen, there’s this club opening tonight and we need to go, I have a date with this girl I met on tinder.” “You want me to third wheel on your date?” I chuckle, taking out my sandwich. “Oh, come on, that’s what best friend do!” “I didn’t say I wouldn’t do it; I’m coming but when?” “Tonight, at nine.” But I had to do something tonight, I had to stalk Damon and see what he does. But, Luke is my best friend, and I would do anything for him. So, I guess, Damon can wait another time. I give him a nod and he punches my forearm, standing up to make his way to class. Just as I was about to take a bite the sun suddenly goes, and I took the decency to glance up. “Do you never stop eating?” Catherine blurts out, taking a seat in front of me. Along with all her friends. “I mean look at yourself, your fat, I can see that double chin from here.” “Please, just leave me alone Catherine.” “Why? No wonder you hide your body under those huge shirts, it’s disgusting.” The girls around me laugh, I settle down my sandwich as she slides out of the bench. “Fat b***h, I heard you went to some hospital for people with eating disorders? You used to be so skinny and now you’re back to being fat, ugly and unlikable.” She flips her hair, and walks back to the table where Damon sat at. I how many calories was I glance down at my food; how many calories was I eating? I fold the food back and hear the bell ring for the end of the day, I push my hair back and walk towards the bin, throwing my food away. I stroll towards the exit gate, making my way home. It wasn’t a long skate, but the moment I see my front door, I rush upstairs before anyone came home and entered the toilet. I lock the door, shoving two of my fingers in the back of my throat before vomiting dry liquid out. . . . “Sophia, te he estado llamando durante veinte minutos. Ven a cenar, Damon, Jake y tu hermano menor están aquí.” I glance up from my Laptop nodding my head, she notices my sad features and walks towards me, her hands gripping my face. She strokes my cheeks and feels my forehead. “Come on down. [Sophia, I have been calling you for twenty minutes. Come down for dinner, Damon, Jake and your younger brother is here.] I make my way downstairs, seeing my younger brother Marco here back from camp, I settle down in front of Damon as per usual. “So, Damon, how’s your mother doing, I barely see her!” My mother says, trying to make small talk. I look down at the food, her famous pasta bolognaise. Inside, my heart was telling me yes, but my mind and body said no. I pick my fork up, if my mother find out I have gone back to my usual state, she would be upset. After spending an entire summer in a disorder hospital, I was finally back to my feet, but now, now it’s like I have fallen of the ladder, and the ladder has fallen onto me. “She’s good Ms Garcia,” “Oh please, call me Lauran. You have been coming here for the last four years.” I play around with my food, remembering the date with Luke, third wheeling is going to become a speciality of mine. But, it’s not like I minded, I didn’t care. I hear my phone vibrate, I look down and see a malfunctioning code. I groan knowing all my photos, messages and contact are going to go as usual. “I need to go.” I mumble, standing up. “Sophia, ni siquiera has tocado tu plato.” My mum warns, I peek at her. [Sophia, you haven't even touched your plate.] “I’m not hungry.” I whisper, throwing my plate to the side. “Al menos comiste en la escuela? El sándwich que te hice.” She asked. [Did you at least eat at school? The sandwich I made you.] “Yeah, I ate it.” I push a strand of my hair behind my ear, my mother smiles until I catch Damon’s brown eyes, lingering on my own. He knows I’m lying. I hear a car horn and notice it was Luke. I pick my phoen from the table and make my way out after kissing my mother’s cheeks. I rush towards his car; he flicks open the door as I slide inside.   “Ready to go?” I nod my head, looking down at my outfit, black oversized jumper with leggings. Not bad for the opening of a New Club. A long drive, a long queue and we were already inside. The nightclub was a heartbeat on loudspeaker, as if we were invited to become one in that heavenly vibe. As we entered, different, multiple colours of lights flung in different corners. Sweaty bodies dancing on the floor and on table, drunk bachelor girls screaming. The song overlapping it all, we reached the bar, Luke orders us both a s*x on the beach whilst we waited for his date. The moment we took our first shots, I already felt sick, drinking on an empty stomach was not the way. Luke departs to his date; I notice them in the corner laughing. I think they are doing fine, and I also think its time for me tog et home. I just came for the drink and I already feel sick. I push past the bodies around me, until I bump into a rock hard one. My phone drops to the ground and I instantly pick it up before making my way out. I look down to book myself an Uber, only to find out that this was not my phone. I glance at it, sliding it open easily with no password. I try to look in the photo album to see it empty. I decide to type in my phone number as I send a message. Whose ever phone this is, you have my phone. I send, within seconds I receive a reply. I can see that. Alright, well can you give it back? No, I am no longer at the club. I will get it tomorrow. Who are you? None of your concern. It sort of is, seeing that I have your phone. You sound annoying. You got one thing right. Go away, I will pick it up tomorrow. How am I mean to go home? Book yourself an Uber. But I would need your password for that. Typing…. Telling by the fact I don’t have a password on the phone. Okay, jeez. Let me check. I slide to the Appstore, searching up an Uber app for myself, I press the GET button and it immediately downloads. Alright, I figured it out, oh, I don’t have my credit card with me. That sounds like a you problem, now f**k off. I glance up, seeing a taxi as a bystander. I directly rush towards it and slide inside, telling the driver my address before it takes off. Not that you care but I found a taxi. You got one thing right. What do you mean? I don’t care.
