The Blinded Luna

CHAPTER SIX:

Meg’s POV:

“MEG! THEY JUST TOLD ME! ARE YOU OK?” She shouted as she ran to me, pulling me into her arms.

“You saying, you didn’t know?” I sighed to her, she pushed me forward so she could see my eyes.

“NO, I DID NOT!” she cried “I would have told you, no matter what!”

I believed her instantly and so I hugged her back. We went to my walk-in closet and Daisy sat down on my floor, whilst I found fresh clothes, dried myself and got dressed.

“How are you feeling? What are you going do? Are you going to accept him?” Daisy begun rushing out questions.

“Daisy, I can’t, he lied to me. I can’t be with someone I don’t trust.” I sighed as I walked back into my bedroom, she followed.

“But, from what I heard before I ran up here, he had too! You were underage until today, Meg. Loki probably couldn’t bare to be away from you, so they had to find a way to get you here with them. I’m glad they did! I found my best friend!” She smiled and bounced into the middle of my bed, whilst I sat down at my dresser and started blow drying my hair.

Once I had finished she grabbed my hand and pulled me to the bed.

“Meg, you have had a major crush on him for years now and you find out today he is your mate! You can get the man of your dreams here!” Daisy sighed as we lay top and tail on the bed.

“I’m so angry though, I just need some space.” I sighed again.

“I know, but don’t blame him for too long, he is your mate, you need him as much as he needs you. He also needs you to tame Loki, can you imagine having him being tender? I’ve only ever seen him in practice or on border patrol and he has always been so serious. I bet you could turn him into a little puppy.” Daisy laughed at the thought.

She was right Loki rarely made an appearance, He would run by us if we were in the woods and he was on patrol, he would just growl, that we should be closer to the pack house. He rarely spoke to us, even though Alpha William was always really nice to everyone.

“I don’t even know if I like Loki, he was possessive earlier and tried to grab me, demanding that I was his.” I said quietly more to myself.

“Well of course he did!” Daisy laughed at me and sat up “Alpha wolfs are possessive you know that! Especially with their close family and friends and even more so with their mate! Loki has waited three years for you Meg!”

“I don’t think he has, Lizzie already loves him and wants to be with him, so they’ve probably already been talking to each other. He wouldn’t bother about me just Lizzie.” I growled lowly at her at the thought of Lizzie betraying me all these years.

“Meg, they both love, both of you! Lizzie has done what she has had to do with her being an Alpha wolf herself she came to you early; she must have known it would be a possibility that she would know your mate before you came of age. They wouldn’t have betrayed you on purpose, only out of necessity and it’s not really a betrayal its’s a … well … a protection, for both you and William. You know the laws, underage s*x is brutally judged, he could have got a death sentence.”

I sat up and looked at her, “You think they did it to prevent that? Do they think if I knew I would’ve acted on it? I do have control of myself you know!” I sighed at her and climbed off the bed.

“I know you do Meg, it’s just against the law, they didn’t tell you because of that. Not because of any horrible reason! Just hear him out Meg.” She sighed as I put my running shoes on.

“Maybe. I’m not going back downstairs though and I won’t sleep yet. I just need to go for a run to clear my head. I will speak to him, just not tonight.” I told her as I climbed out of my bedroom window and down the balcony railings and jumped to the floor below and then off that balcony too.

Daisy and I would often do that if we wanted a nighttime run or in Daisy’s case if she got grounded. Sneaking out that way meant we didn’t have to face the adults we didn’t want too at that time.

I began running for the tree line, I needed to do a few laps, or I would lose my temper again when I saw him. I knew what Daisy had said made sense, so I needed to calm myself down and see what we can work out. I had pushed aside the happy feelings about seeing my mate for the first time due to the anger, but as I ran, they all came back to me, no doubt with some help from my wolf.

The tall, muscular body, his short black hair running over the tip of his ears, the delicious green eyes …

‘Good, at least you are seeing how perfect he is now!’ Lizzie yapped at me.

‘Shut up, I’m still mad at you.’ I told her with a little smirk, she could sense my anger was lifting.

We got near to the river and jumped across the large rocks spaced out across it, then I ran up into the mountain. It was slightly out of our border, but it was a lovely view from the top.

I sat down on the summit and stared over the vast open land beyond the Jewel Diamond territory. Thinking through the situation that was now presented and all the times I had dreamed that Alpha William would sweep me off my feet. I smiled at the thought of being in his arms and Lizzie was wagging her tail and bouncing, glad I had finally seen what I could have.

“OUCH!” I yelped and looked down at my leg, where a sharp pain had just hit me. As I took in the dart sticking out, another two hit me on the neck and arm. I felt my body go limp and blackness took over me before I could connect my link to anyone back at the pack.
