I don’t know what possessed me to speak with Chase. Of course, my father would have invited him. After all, he is his architect. And I must say he does look yummy in a tux. When I looked into his eyes, I wanted so bad to kiss him. I am not sure why I feel so drawn to him. I swore off men. I have my sweet cat to keep me company. I couldn’t help but keep glancing at Chase as he spoke to my father then to another man with blond hair and a strawberry blond-haired woman.
A few times I caught Chase glancing in my direction and smiling. Each time I thought my heart would jump right out of my chest. He is just so damn sexy and handsome. So much more than Benjamin ever was. And so much taller too. The pull towards him is strong, but I cannot allow it. I refuse to get hurt again. Ben
