The Billionaire's Cursed Luna Chapter Four — The Man from Her Dreams Seraphina screamed. The silver mark beneath her collarbone burned as if someone had pressed a hot iron against her skin. Lucian immediately turned toward her. “Seraphina!” She collapsed against him. The stranger laughed. “Five years, and the curse is still protecting you.” Lucian's eyes turned black. “Who are you?” The man stepped into the moonlight. He was tall, with dark hair and unnaturally pale skin. His red eyes never left Seraphina. “My name is Damien Rook.” Elias suddenly went pale. “Impossible.” Damien smiled. “You remember me, old friend?” Elias stepped backward. “You died.” “People say that about me quite often.” Lucian moved in front of Seraphina. “Why are you here?” Damien's smile disappeared. “Because the Blood Moon has awakened.” His gaze shifted to Seraphina. “And she belongs to us.” Seraphina forced herself upright. “I belong to nobody.” Damien laughed. “That attitude will disappear soon.” Lucian's voice became dangerously quiet. “Leave.” Damien looked amused. “You're protecting her?” “She is my mate.” Silence. Even Damien looked surprised. Then he smiled. “So the prophecy was true.” Seraphina stared at Lucian. “Mate?” Lucian didn't answer. Damien did. “The Blood Moon Luna can only awaken when she encounters her true king.” He looked directly at Lucian. “And unfortunately for everyone, that's you.” Seraphina's mind raced. She had spent five years trying to escape the supernatural world. Now she had discovered that her entire existence was connected to it. Worse, Lucian was at the center of it. Damien took another step forward. “You should come with me, Seraphina.” “No.” “You don't understand what you're carrying inside you.” “I don't care.” “You will.” His eyes flashed red. “You've already started remembering.” Seraphina froze. “Remembering what?” Damien smiled. “Your first life.” A cold sensation passed through her. “First life?” “Yes.” He raised his hand. The world suddenly disappeared. Seraphina found herself standing in a forest. Moonlight poured between enormous trees. A woman was running. A younger version of herself. No. Not herself. Someone who looked exactly like her. Behind the woman came a man. Lucian. But he looked different. Older. Dressed like a warrior. He grabbed the woman's hand. “Run!” “Lucian, I can't.” “You have to.” Suddenly, flames surrounded them. The woman screamed. A man appeared through the fire. Damien. But his face was younger. He raised a sword. “You betrayed us.” Lucian stepped between him and the woman. “She is my mate.” Damien attacked. The vision shattered. Seraphina screamed and returned to the rooftop. Lucian caught her. “What did you see?” She stared at him. “You.” His expression changed. “What else?” “You've done this before.” Lucian said nothing. Seraphina pushed away from him. “How many times?” “Seraphina—” “How many times have we met?” Elias closed his eyes. Lucian finally answered. “Three.” Her blood ran cold. “Three?” “You and I have been connected for centuries.” She stared at him in disbelief. “No.” “You don't remember because the curse erased your memories.” “Why?” Lucian looked toward Damien. “Because someone wanted us separated.” Damien laughed. “Not someone.” He pointed at Lucian. “His father.” Lucian's expression darkened. “My father is dead.” “His body is.” Damien's smile returned. “But his spirit lives.” A loud crash came from below. The hotel windows shattered simultaneously. Werewolves flooded the street. Security guards screamed. Elias grabbed Seraphina. “We need to leave.” “Where?” “Somewhere safe.” Lucian shook his head. “There is nowhere safe anymore.” Damien disappeared into the darkness. Seraphina looked around. “Where did he go?” Lucian's eyes narrowed. “He wasn't here to attack us.” “Then why?” “To wake your memories.” A sudden explosion rocked the building. Seraphina stumbled. Lucian grabbed her waist. “Hold on!” The rooftop began collapsing. Concrete cracked beneath their feet. Elias shouted, “Lucian!” Lucian pulled Seraphina against his chest. Then he jumped. Seraphina screamed. They fell several floors. But before they reached the ground, something enormous burst from Lucian's back. Black wings. Seraphina's eyes widened. “You have wings?” Lucian looked at her. “Apparently there are still a few things you don't know about me.” He landed safely on the roof of a nearby building. Seraphina stared at him. “You're impossible.” “And you're my mate.” She immediately stepped away. “Don't get comfortable.” Lucian smiled. “I'm not worried.” “Why?” “Because the curse has already chosen.” Seraphina's expression hardened. “Then I'll break it.” Lucian's smile vanished. “You can't.” “Watch me.” She walked away. But beneath her anger, something terrified her. Because deep inside her mind, she could still hear Damien's voice. Three lives. Three betrayals. And this time, only one of them will survive.
