Chapter 5: Chaos Rising

Destiny’s Point Of View

My alarm goes off and I press the dismiss button and sit up in bed and start to get super excited even though I had that same dream about Jake last night but my excitement to see my best friend is over riding that at the moment. I get up off my bed and head to my closet to get out an outfit seeing as it is California and its always sunny and warm I chose out a crop top and a pair of shorts before I head to my bathroom and brush my hair back into a high pony tail that is tight.

Once my hair is done I put some light makeup on and head down to get me a cup of coffee. I sip the cup of coffee as I wait for Jake to get up so I can start breakfast for the two of us before Elianna gets here. I sit at the kitchen island.

Jake’s Point Of View

I wake up to the same dream as last night but I put that out of my mind knowing I have Elianna coming over for a week to hang out with Destiny and I have that band meeting today.

I get dressed and head down the stairs.

I see Destiny waiting for me so she can make us breakfast which I find cute and kinda hot but I push that out of my mind reminding myself that she can’t be interested in me like that.

Destiny’s Point Of View

I see Jake and I start to make a simple but amazing breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast remembering that he likes the simple things in life despite him being a famous rockstar. I also make his coffee knowing he likes it with a dash of milk along some french vanilla creamer, sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Once breakfast is ready I set a plate in front of him along with his coffee.

We sit there and eat in a comfortable silence. We each have small smiles on our faces as we do so.

After breakfast I start the dishwasher and wipe the counters off before the door bell rings and I know it is Elianna. I run to answer the door as Jake sits on the couch. I fling the door open.

“Hey girl,” Elianna squeals.

“Hey Eli,” I squeal back making Jake laugh.

I giggle at his laugh my cheeks flushing at how bothered I am getting by him in front of Elianna.

“Girl lets get you to my room and then we can go shopping,” I say.

“Okay that sounds like a plan to me,” she says.

We head to my room laughing and giggling. I open the door leading her inside.

“So what is going on with you and Jake?” Elianna asks.

“What? Nothing,” I say.

“Then why were you blushing when he laughed?” she asks.

“Fine I have been having these dreams about him and in them we are engaged and I have came home from shopping for food,” I say.

She gasps and then starts laughing and I chuckle along with her.

“Girl you are insane,” she says.

“I know I am now lets head out and go shopping,” I say.

She nods and we leave the house and head to the mall. We walk around the mall for hours and I check the time and Jake is now with the band at Kooper’s place to work on their setlist for the music festival later this week. We keep walking around till about five and then we stop and get food before heading back to Jake’s house.

I unlock the door with my key that Jake had made for me the day he came to get me from my mom’s place. We both walk in and head to my room to unload our bags and put things away.

“So who’s card were we using to buy this stuff?” Elianna asks.

“Jake’s he gave it to my last night,” I say.

“Oooh things are getting serious,” she says joking in a sing song voice.

“Oh stop it. It’s not like that,” I say playfully slapping her arm.

“Whatever you say lover girl,” she jokes.

“Bite me,” I say.

We both laugh and turn on the TV to a random channel for noise.

“So you changed your hair color,” Elianna says.

“Yea Jake helped me pick it out,” I say.

“You know your mom told me you were doing better but this is not what I expected,” she says,

“I know Eli I feel amazing out here with Jake,” I say.

“That is amazing you had everyone worried back home with the way you were acting before you left,” she says.

“I know. I guess I just needed a way to get out and I didn’t even know I needed it till I got out here,” I say.

We talk for a few more hours before we decide to watch a movie with a bucket of popcorn. As the movie goes on we both start to get tired and fall asleep on my bed.

Jake’s Point Of View

I get home super late and open Destiny’s door to check on the girls finding them both passed out on her bed with a movie playing on her TV and a empty bag of popcorn in her trash can. I smile to myself and quietly shut her door before heading to my room to shower and get ready for bed myself.

Once I am in bed I fall asleep right away clearly exhausted. The smile remains on my face as I sleep. I start having the same dream as the last two nights in the row. But this time in the dream her and I have a kid which is really out there but it is clear what my subconscious wants me to do. But I am not gonna listen to it at all. I am just gonna be myself like its normal.
