After Piper gets Christos and Christian into bed, she reheats some leftover pot roast and pours two glasses of milk. She walks back into the bedroom, sits at the foot of the bed, and scoots between the twins.” I’m sorry that you have to share a bed. “
“It's fine. We’re used to sharing. Christian looks at her, picks up two spoons, and starts feeding him and Christos.
"This is good, but we still don’t know our savior's name. Let’s begin here. I’m Christos Lord and the one who mouths your wiping is Christian." He looks at his brother
“Piper, my name is Piper.” She continues to feed them.
Christian looks at her. His wolf, Cyclone, is rambling in his head, and he blocks him. “Piper, aren’t you going to ask us what happened?”
She shook her head, “No, that would open the door for you two to ask me questions. I don’t want to discuss my problems.” Piper doesn’t say anything else until the twins have finished eating, and she helps them drink their milk. " As I yelled the other night, I'm a doctor, an Orthopedic Surgeon to be precise, since you were shot with wolfbane, that will take a couple of days to heal, as for the older wounds. I’ll do my best to heal them. The physician at my practice had a similar case before, and I helped him. But if your wolves continue to be in the state they are in, it’s not going to end well. Right now, the important thing is to start treating your wounds and go from there. I’ll do my part. You two need to have a long, serious talk with your wolves.”
“We should head back to our pack.” Christian reaches for the cover.
Piper gives him a stern look. “Alpha Lord. May I remind you that you both are my patients? Right now, I’m in charge. Neither of you is going anywhere for a couple of days. Do I make myself clear? Now get some sleep so you and your wolves can heal."
Neither one said anything until she closed the door behind her. Christos looks at his brother. “We'd better do as she says. Damn it. I wish Hurricane would stop babbling.”
"Cyclone was acting the same damn way. Man, that woman loves to tell us what to do. Turn that lamp off,” Christian points at the door.
Christos turns the lamp off. “Yeah, I notice that. Now go to sleep, as the doc said. I contacted Nolan and told him we would be here for a day or two. But to contact us if anything occurs.”
Piper took a long shower and went to bed. As soon as she lay down, her mother contacted her to make sure that she was okay. After she and her mother talk for about forty minutes, Piper drifts off to sleep after talking to Saga about how hard-headed the twins are.

Sean and Beau are at a bar drinking. Beau is still angry as hell about how Christos was in his face. “This arrogant ass mutherfuckers; That damn Christos is one lucky bastard. Yeah, his ass better be happy as hell that you were there.” Beau turns up a bottle of whiskey.
“Man, use a damn glass. I’m not drinking any whiskey out of that damn bottle. I don’t know who in the hell you've been eating.” Sean waves at the bartender to bring two more bottles. “Don’t let that jerk get to you. We’ll have that damn winery before long. Hell, I didn’t go through two years of their asses to just walk away empty-handed.”
Beau picks up the new bottle of whiskey. When are you going to tell me what’s so special about that damn place?”
Sean drinks a glass of whiskey. “It’s not really about the winery. It’s because those damn twins put their hard-earned sweat into that damn place. Hell, they love it. I want to take away the most important thing to them. That is it. I hated cocky assholes since high school." He laughs, "Since I found out that mineral is in that place. That only sweetened the pot."
Beau looks at him and narrows his eyes. “Now, how is it they don’t remember you from school?”
“I wasn’t handsome or cool enough to hang with the popular kids. Hell, my family and I even belonged to their damn pack until I finished high school. It was like I wasn’t even there, not even when we were kids. “ Sean is clenching his fist.
“Damn, man, you should see a therapist for that childhood crap,” Beau smirks.
Sean frowns and hits the bar. "There's more. Her name was Rolanda Hyatt. I loved that damn girl. She wouldn't give me the time of day. All she wanted to do was hang under those damn twins. After high school, those arrogant assholes left to travel the world and then went off to college in the fall. They threw her ass away as if she had never existed. Rolanda left the pack. I don’t know what happened to her after that. I left shortly after her.”
Beau shook his head, then his attention went to the three she-wolves that had just walked in. ‘You sit here and dwell on what might have been. I’m going over there and getting me a full bed tonight."
"Go, hell, go on now. Is there any sense in both of us not getting together tonight? I'm calling it a night." Sean looks at Beau walking away from the bar with two whiskey bottles.

In the neural territory in the woods, the mates of the rogues that had shot Cyclone and Hurricane met up with their mates' men. They are telling them about the attack, and they have shot the wolves and the direction the two wolves ran away in.
None of this sat well with Thruster. Two of the rogues were his brother. “Vengeance, Vengeance,” he yells and stomps while repeatedly beating his chest. “Well, hunt the bastards down and kill them. “
The rogues are howling, cheering, and ready to take revenge on the ones responsible for killing their family and friends.
Wren, one of the humans who just lost her mate, looks at Thruster, “What about us? “
Thruster circles around her. “You can leave. If you do, then don’t return. If you stay, you belong to me. The same goes for the other women; the men will pick one.”
She looks at him. “But I was your brother’s mate.”
“Yes, he was the leader. Now I’m the leader. Are you staying or leaving?” He’s standing in front of her with his arms folded.
“Staying,” She mumbles.
Thruster picks her up, throws her over his shoulder, and walks inside his tent.

The following day, Christian and Christos wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee, bacon, eggs, and waffles. They are sitting up on the edge of the bed when Piper walks in with two cups. “Is good to see you two are feeling better.”
Christos is looking at his stomach, and the open wound is completely healed. “Well, Doc, you are a miracle worker.”
Piper hands him a cup and looks at the wound. “Maybe your talk with your wolf did the trick.”
Christian drank his coffee and looked at the wounds on his chest and leg that had healed. “My little brother is right, thank you. The doctor at our pack did everything he could think of, but nothing would heal these wounds.”
“Breakfast is ready. “I’ll bring it to you and then help you shower.” She’s walking out the door.
“Shower, damn, she’s spoiling us. I'm so loving this.” Hurricane yell to Cyclone.
“This doc lady is alright with me. Not only is she beautiful, but smart as hell,” Cyclone links the wolf.
Piper walks into the room with two plates. "Do you think you have enough strength to feed yourselves? If not, I don't mind."
"No. " Both twins shook their heads, looking at her.
“Piper, you know they are milky this,” Saga tells her.
She snickers and clears her throat.” I kind of figured they were. Because they were shot with wolfbane, we’ll let them slip this time." Piper cuts the link with her wolf.
After feeding the twins, she helps them shower and put on basketball shorts she had found in a drawer her friend had left there. She noticed they kept watching her, and their blue eyes were getting darker. She knew their wolves were trying to surface. The twins seem to be having some serious conversations with their wolves. Piper figured that it had something to do with their wounds healing.
"She's a keeper," Cyclone is telling Christian, Christos, and Hurricane.
"Hell, tell me something I don't know. She isn't anything like those two damn pack diggers that rejected us. Those damn mutts," Hurricane says.
Christos and Christian are shaking their head. Christian yells, "She isn't our mate, and let's not forget she has a mate out there somewhere. Besides, I don't want a mate anymore after dealing with those damn gold diggers."
"Yes, you do want a mate. We need a mate. You know someone to love us and make love to. Hell, man, Cyclone and I want Pups. It's two against two, and we want to keep her." Hurricane screams.
Christos agrees with Christian after telling their wolves, "We just can't keep a person." Then the twins block their wolves.
Later that evening, the twins sit on the porch, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Christos rubs his chin. “I know we need mates. I can’t go through another crack in my heart. It would have been much less painful if our ex-mates hadn’t taken the time to talk with us."
"Neither can I. We'll leave as soon as Piper releases us. At least our wounds have healed. She is not much of a talker. That young lady has a lot on her mind." Christian looks at Piper walking out the door with three bowls of Cherry Garcia ice cream.
She gives them a bowl of "I thought you two might want something sweet. After all, you have done well today and never complained." Piper chuckles.
"That is because we're scared. We don't want to tick our doctor off," Christos laughs.
Christian laughs. "No, we don't want to be on your bad side."
Piper points her spoon at them. "As long as you do as I say, you won't."
All three are laughing, then the twins stop laughing and look toward their pack. “Stay here. Rogues are approaching our pack.” Both men point at her.
"Wait, I can help,” Piper yells, looking at Christian and Christos running toward the woods and shifting into their wolves.
“Hardheaded ass Alphas. They aren’t well enough to be fighting. Well, Saga, let's go help them. We can’t let them get hurt. All of my hard work would have been in vain." She goes inside and grabs a dress, tying it around her ankle while walking out the door. Piper shifts as soon as she steps off the porch. Saga runs behind Cyclone and Hurricane.
When Cyclone and Hurricane reach their pack, met by Nolan, they shift, and Nolan hands each one a pair of shorts. “The assholes are about a half mile away. I killed the one that had been watching the pack. He said the rogue leader's name was Thruster. Something about you killed his brothers and friends. I believe he said Job or Joab. Hell, if I can remember."
Neither twin knew a Thruster, Job, or Joab. They didn't put too much effort into remembering because every night, their wolves would go out to hunt and kill any rogue they came across. The last two nights are the first time they have slept in two years.
“Who are we going to kill? “ Piper is walking up behind the three men.
The twins turn to look at her. “We told you to stay home.” Christian is walking towards her.
"Piper, you have to learn to listen to us sometimes.” Christos is also walking to her.
Nolan is now listening to the three of them arguing. His Alphas don’t want her to get hurt.
Regardless of what Christian and Christos say, she keeps repeating, "I'm fighting."
The twins take deep breaths.
"Now that's settled. Who are we killing?" She looks between the two men. They are rubbing their chins and looking at her.
