Chapter Thirteen Panic overtakes the elite within seconds. "The walls!" someone cries. "Save us!" another person screams. My heart races. It turns out Oscar is right, tonight is the night. At least if they're to be believed. I focus my attention on the Mayor. I half expect her to have squirrelled herself away like she had during the parade when Heather's assassination attempt went so wrong.
