Chapter Five "Oscar?" I call the moment I'm back through my front door. I need to know he's safe. "You okay?" he shouts back. The familiar sense of relief rushes through me. He's here and safe. I don't have to worry about him being dragged off while I'm at work, which is better than the alternative. "Yes, just going to make some tea." I slip into the kitchen before he can protest and flick the kettle on. But hot drinks aren't the main reason I've come in here. With blood about to be an issue, and my own guilt over not doing my job properly, I need to get in contact with the outside. I pull out my other phone and pull up the messaging app. Unsurprisingly, there's nothing there. Clearly, they don't have anything in particular they want me to do. At least I'm not blocked from messaging
