Chapter 68: Summer cup round five (Part 3)

When I saw still a kid. I’m always bullied by my classmates for being different. I’m different because I’m not wearing the same clean clothes as them. Tangled clothes and ragged shoes. Because of my poverty people always make fun of me.
But that changes one day. The day I meet such an arrogant girl named Fuyuno.
“Hey, aren’t you sick of being pushed away by them? You can tell the teachers about their bullying.”
“I can’t do that… I’m afraid.”
“Afraid of what?”
“My classmates told me that they will hurt me more if I tell the teachers. Also, the teacher won’t pay attention to me at all.”
I muttered and turned toward a teacher who nearby smoking outside of the school.
I’m sure they saw me being bullied but in the end, they didn’t made any action at all. They just let the other kids do what they want to me. My hardship continues not just in school but also at home.
My siblings whose younger than me need to be fed. Parents are non-existent at all. Nope, they are here but at the same time, they aren’t. Like most adults, no one cares about us. I hate all of them.
We’re unfortunate people living in this world. We don’t have decent childhood or anything. Continuously, living in hell every day.
Sometimes I would like to commit suicide. Maybe, if the afterlife existed. I don’t need to suffer anymore.
“Here have one.”
Se hand over a lollipop to me. I was hesitant and look into her eyes. Why a person like her would pay attention to me? I asked myself. She looks pretty. Her clothes are branded and look cute. She has light brown hair and big eye’s Flawless white skin. She’s really cute. Most importantly, she looks like someone who has everything since she made it to this world.
She made a grumpy expression and turned her head away from me.
“If you don’t want it then, don’t… It's not my loss.”
She said with a bitter tone.
“Sorry… I just thought why… Why someone like you is talking to me?”
“Why? Because I can? I want to talk… What’s with that weird question. Being targeted by bullies is scary I guess. The bullied person's spirit became so low esteem to the point they always devalue themselves from others. Always hearing that you’re ugly, a waste of time, smelly, etc. Must be drilled in your soul already…”
The way she talks is very mature. She pinpoints all my beliefs. I believe that I’m a lower life form than the others.
How can she talk and say anything she wanted?
“... Hey, I don’t have friends too. So stay beside me.”
“As your friend?”
“Nope became my servant instead. Protect me from others wanting to stay on my side. Being as amazing as I also have its downsides. For instance, boys in class always wanted to talk with me to gain my affection. Girls in the class wanted to befriend me to gain popularity. Those leeches need to be driven away. It's annoying. That because I’m so amazing.”
“Why me?”
“That’s because you drive them away. They hate you. You being with me means them going away with me. That’s the logic… Are you in?”
She sounds arrogant and rude…
But it's the first time someone reached my hand with an angelic smile.
My hand reached hers. We might not be officially friends, but I feel some kind of relationship that gives me hope in living in this world.
She held my hands tightly. I felt the warmth.
She is my hero. She saves me from the bullies.
She is someone I looked up to.
That’s why I started fixing myself to become someone rightful on standing next to her. Someone that can be proud being with her and someday. I gained her approval and became her equal friend.
“Hey, what’s your name again?”
“It’s Ayane.”
“Ayane huh? I think it's great.”
“Really.”
“Yup.”
She is arrogant and sometimes goes to my nerves. But I can’t fail her expectation of me.

Ayane after she finds a new hiding spot she immediately prepared her sniper rifle to target the woman chasing her. Touka didn’t know Ayane’s current location gives Ayane the advantage a sniper needed.
“Lightning bullet!”
Speeding lightning flies to Touka. She detected the bullet and attempted to avoid it. The bullet was so fast it catch Touka’s left arm. Severed her arm fell on the ground.
Tracing the bulletin straight line. Touka located Ayane’s position.
“There you are…”
Touka used her healing skill to regain her arm back. With her HP back to normal. She fearlessly decided to attack Ayane heads on. Touka swings her sword and launches a blade of wind. This blade cuts the house where Ayane was currently hiding.
“Shield!”
Ayane activated her shield and run away again.
“You’re not going anywhere!”
Using the houses as her stepping stone. Touka hops on each until she reaches above Ayane.
“Frenzy plant!”
A voice was heard. The concrete road trembles and cracks. Giant roots of trees grow and attack Touka at the same time giving Ayane time to flee. The one responsible for this is Miwa. One of her teammates.
Kokoro and Rua then appeared on a different side of Touka. Bothe their wand and staff pointing to Touka they made an ambush.
“Lightning strike!”
“Fire blast!”
The skills directly connected to Touka causing for an explosion. Kokoro and Rua thought it over, but in reality, two players defended Touka before the skill hit Touka. Hiyoko and Nanami cast shield to protect Touka.
Cover move skill is a skill initially used to protect teammates. It's normal to be used to defend team members.
The table has turned, Rua and Kokoro whose close to the opponent was unable to run away. Their ambush failed and it came with a cost.
“Crescent moon arc!” 3x
A three sword s***h arc curve to cut both Kokoro and Rua. Hit by three sword skills. Rua and Kokoro were eliminated in the battle. Transformed into light particles and shattered like glass fragments. The hope of supporting Fuyuno was passed down to Ayane and Miwa.
Valkyries guild gain their first two points. But it was not the end. Miwa panic for a moment and lead to her devastation. Touka move in high speed her sword thrust to Miwa’s chest.
Her HP goes down immediately down.
“Ultimate sword skill: Moonlight heavenly ray!”
“Fuyuno is also my hero… Ayane… Support her with everything you got."
Miwa’s Hp decrease but stopped in 1. Like Kaede, she has sturdy body skills. That 1 Hp gives her the ability to do her final move.
She hugs Touka tightly and glows in brilliant crimson color.
“Self-destruction!”
Miwa exploded together with Touka.
Both players are killed by the explosion. The force from the explosion made Ayane fly away. Nanami and Hoyoko hide from their shield.

Touka appeared in the waiting room. She immediately stood up and punch the wall in anger. She felt awful after being eliminated from the explosion.
“To think that they have that skill in their sleeves. I’m not careful enough.”
In the other waiting room, Kokoro, Rua, and Miwa are crying while hugging their knees.
“Fuyuno’s going to be mad at us.”
“She going to yell non-stop again.”
“I’m afraid! I’m afraid!”

“Touka is been eliminated…”
“This can’t be…”
-- Don’t worry, we can still make it. In name of Mio and Touka will win this match.
Valkyrie gives them the spirit to stand up and fight.
Above Nanami and Hiyoko shadow loomed from above. Fuyuno with a scary expression goes down.
