Chapter 66: Summer cup round five (Part 1)

The Summer cup is ongoing. Strong players gathered to claim the title of the strongest in the entire game. After Kaede and her team defeated their opponent. They show Arvam that their skills don’t rely entirely on their luck. Kaede wanted their enemy to know that they also worked hard to reach the place where therein.
As both players stare daggers at each other. The intensity of their rivalry grows stronger. This rivalry also gives hype to other players and spectators.
After Kaede’s battle, the next team is about to start.
Group of five players with all young women on it. Valkyrie Guild steps forward.
“It's our turn… Have any plan Valkyrie?”
“Yeah, After this, I’m planning to have some pork stew for dinner. Nope, maybe I’ll do with roast pork with rice instead.”
She said seriously while drooling.
“That’s what you’re thinking… But Roast pork in dinner seems good.”
“Val-chan and Mio sure are glutton. Why I’m with this team again?”
“No one likes you being here. You can go now… Shu~ Shu~”
“Good thing I’m not interested in arguing with a child.”
“Say that again!”
“Nothing…”
“Grrr… I hate your jerk face…”
“Their fighting again. They should try becoming honest and try confessing to each other. Hiyoko and Nanami love each other after all.”
The one whose speaking was the fifth player on their team. A composed girl named Touka. Hiyoko and Nanami turned their eyes on Touka with a slightly embarrassed expression on their face. Telling that theirs a possibility that they just like each other all along.
“No way that’s happening! I’m not falling in love with this arrogant girl.”
“Especially me, I’m not going to fell to this midget girl.”
“Say that again!”
“Want a fight?!”
“Grrr…”
“Grrr…”
But Hiyoko and Nanami are both stuborn girl. They won’t confess because they know that their pride will go down if they did. They look at each other eye’s and immediately avert away with faces saying I’m ignoring you from now on.
“They're just bashful.”
“I’m worried about my teammates.”
Mio muttered, then she bow down her head with all hope lost. Valkyrie meanwhile, continue to drool as she thinks about the dinner she’s having.
“No need to worry… I’ll treat you pork roast for dinner.”
“Really?!”
On the opposite side of the square park. Another team with all girls is watching them from afar. A girl sucking her lollipop glancing at them dreadfully. She crushed the lollipop on her mouth.
“Is that opponent we’re facing? Just a bunch of happy-go-lucky players. I hate those kinds of people. They're not worth competing.”
“That might be true, but the fact that they are invited is not something you look down upon.”
“I’ll butcher them by myself… Besides, you don’t have any right to talk to me like that. You’re here to support me. That’s your role.”
Arrigrated to the cheeky girl. Ayane stepped forward with her fist ready to punch Fuyuno. Ayane’s remains stacked up as she exchange glances with Ayane.
“Want to hit me? Do you want to lose? Your sibling won’t have any food if you lost this fight?”
“Using my poverty to use me…”
“That’s not the right term at all. I hired you as a kind classmate and my childhood friend hired you because of my kindness. I’m a genius in anything… I’m great at anything. Someone who doesn’t have talent like you won’t understand that. Stay still, and do your job…”
Ayane gritted her teeth in anger and raised her hand. But stopped by her teammate named Kokoro by hugging and pulling her away from Fuyuno.
“Stop it Ayane! She’s not that terrible! She didn’t mean what she said. Is that right? Fuyuno?”
“Well, who cares about her feelings? I don’t have time for that. The important thing was winning and having that solid hard cash.”
The other teammates remained silent.
A team full of bonds and friendship (Valkyrie guild) will battle a guild united with a bond of contract (Fuyuno Guild). The players are all transported into the waiting room. A cat tossed the coin and gave the right for Fuyuno to pick the battle stadium for their match.
“I’m picking household district.”

“The Fifth battle and the final battle for the first day… Fuyuno guild vs Valkyrie guild! Battle start!”
Fireworks were blasted up in the sky indicating the strict of the battle.
Fuyuno rapidly leap above the house room and started running toward the enemy's base. Her other teammates go in their positions. Ayane hides on one of the rooftops of the house as a sniper. Others Kokoro and two girls Rua and Miwa move on land with their swords.
“Kokoro’s squad will go to the bottom area setting the traps. Ayane will be their backup and vision if an opponent player is coming. When Ayane detects the opponent, she will give Kokoro’s squad to leave and leave things to me as their attacker.”
I guess, we have a nice plan for us, but the Valkyries team are all sword users. Meaning, no one is capable of a ranged attack in their team. Kokoro is an archmage and Ayane was a sniper marksman. Giving us lots of advantages. If I encounter an opponent, I will lure them to the traps and defeat them to full advantage.
Fuyuno stopped moving and stay in the middle area. Standing at the top of the roof. Intently showing herself to the opponent team.
Staying in the middle gives Fuyuno the advantage of moving quickly to the top of the bottom area of the map. The traps are all set in the bottom area Kokoro’s team did their job. They're going to set another trap in another area of the map.
“Enemy detected!”
Mio shouted.
“She’s alone in the top of the roof.”
“Let us go!”
Mio, Nanami, and Hiyoko runs to Fuyuno’s location. Fuyuno turned her tail and run to the bottom area.
“She’s running away!”
“Seems like she’s scared after seeing our number. Let's chase her down and get the first point!”
The three girls agreed to Nanami. They all activated their extreme speed skill to enhance their movement. Hopping on houses roofs. They immediately catch up to Fuyuno.
“First points are now mine!
Fuyuno turned her body back facing the three girls. Using a utility pole as a foothold. She kicks with force and blasts herself. Charging straight to her opponents.
She passed by to the three. And manage to deal damage.
The three girls landed down on the ground and accidentally activated a trap. Spikes spears emerge from beneath penetrating their bodies.
“T-Trap?”
“I can’t move…”
Fuyuno goes back to the three.
“The first point will ours…”
“Not gonna happen…”
From far away a beam of light flew straight to Fuyuno. Thanks, to Fuyuno’s agility she dodge the attack and landed at a safe location.
A long-range skill? But they are all swordsman class?
The three girls then shouted.
“Cover move!” 3x
Activating they manage to escape the trap and teleport back in front of Touka whose standing in the respawn point at the endpoint of the map.
“Are you three okay?”
“Well, kinda…”
“Stay still… I’ll cast healing skill on you three.”
“Thanks, Touka.”

Ronie and Kaede’s whose watching saw it and became fascinated.
“So it's possible to use a Cover move like that.”
“Cover move immediately teleport a team player to another. The skill can also be used as a way to move to another location. We can use it in mobility and other purposes like surprise attacks.”
Yuki thinks that their strategy was great, but she’s more interested in Fuyuno who manages to dodge the attack from a far distance. The beam was accelerating at high speed. Fuyuno still dodges it without using the skill. Its pure reflexes of her own body saved her from the skill.

Going back to Fuyuno. She used her voice chat and yelled at Kokoro.
“The trap you place is so weak! So weak it didn’t even kill one of them. You're so useless!”
“I’m sorry… I won’t fail the next time.”
“Be sure… Or else I’ll fire you. Stupid girl.”
Irritated to the failed execution of their plan. Fuyuno contacted Ayane.
“Did you see any opponent nearby?”
“There's one near the bottom are. 20 meters away from your position. It's their leader Valkyrie.”
“Their leader… I understand I’ll guess, I’ll go with her head.”
Fuyuno runs to Valkyries' position. Smiling with evil intention. She rushed herself. Upon arriving at Valkyries position. Valkyrie has her sword rise upward glowing in blue majestic colors.
“She’s charging?!”
Sensing danger Fuyuno stopped her feet from moving and turned backward. But it was too late because Valkyrie have her sword swing downward and released a huge blade cutting through the land.
“Grant Cutter!”
The huge blade released from Valkyries sword cuts down the houses and the road.
“Did I cut her? Did I?”
“Nope, she’s still alive.”
Fuyuno was astonished. The skill dint catch her, but the damage it did to the battlefield was enough for her to know that. One strike from that skill will be her end.
Her heartbeat was rising. She put her hand on her heart and smiled.
“This feeling… I feel alive.”
