Senica Ledet has lived in a boathouse in the middle of the Bayou since she turned eighteen. In school, she was always made fun of for being a bigger girl. Wearing a size fourteen got her picked on by the school's bullies, aka cheerleaders. To make matters worse, she took after her mother's family. All of the women in the family were Louisiana witches. Each one had unique powers of some kind.

For Senica, it was being able to communicate with animals and the dead. She could see and speak to ghosts and always had one with her that tended to get on her nerves at times. With animals, they would follow her around and talk to her. She always had a raven or two on her shoulder. And with being in Louisiana, they had alligators everywhere. People would look at her weirdly when they followed her instead of trying to eat her. She works at her mom's and grandma's tarot shop, using tarot cards to tell people about their divine future. She is also secretly an author and writes under a pen name. She has never dated because the boys in school were always cruel to her. Growing up, her dad was in the local MC. The Cajun Gators. Even though her dad and brothers were part of the club, she stopped going around it when she was fifteen.

When her mom begs her to go to the clubhouse for her dad's birthday, she meets three enormous men. It's no secret to the club that the guys are together and looking for the woman who is their soulmate. Will Seneca take the chance and see if they really want to be with her. Or will she be too afraid to take a chance after being made fun of for so long?

Come along on the ride with Seneca and see how she finds herself as she finds love. All the while, she deals with pesky ghosts, and mouthy ravens, and gators.

The Enchanting Bayou Witch and Her Bikers is Book 1 in The Cajun Gator Mc Series.

Prologue
Seneca When you're a child of five or six, you watch your family and dream of being like them one day. No matter what it is that they do, whether it be for work or just around the house. You want to grow up to be just like them. With me, it was the same way. I wanted to be just like the women in my family. I dreamed of growing up to be like them, not realizing that not only was I already like them. But that it would end up causing me trouble for a while. The women in my family were all bayou witches and had powers of some sort. My Mom and Nanna owned a shop called Tarot. They sold things that had to do with witches. They had herbs for spells, tarot cards, crystal balls, gems, books, candles, cauldrons, and so much more. They also did tarot and crystal ball readings. And unlike most places that you go to for that and get ripped off, their store was real. When they told you your fortune, they told you what would actually happen. Or at least as much as the cards and spirits would allow. I loved that they could both just look at someone and know stuff about them. They didn't have to look at the cards or the ball, but they did. It was all for show so that people would believe them. At the time, I didn't know what else they could do. As I got older, the bayou witch gene started to come through. I started to be able to see people's futures just like Mom and Nanna. But I was able to communicate with ghosts as well. The older that I got, the more that I was able to see. It was when I was around fifteen that I was able to start seeing and communicating with spirits. The first one that I met was a young guy who died at the age of twenty-five in the 1950s. At first, he was attached to an area in New Orleans. But somehow, he was able to attach himself to me. So now Octavius is always with me. I spent most of my time until I started school at the shop with Mom and Nanna. But when they were really busy, I would go with my dad and brothers to hang out at The Cajun Gators club house. I didn't like going there because there weren't any girls my age that I liked to play with. Both the boys and girls my age were mean. The only thing that I liked about going to the clubhouse was Roman, better known as Midnight. He was twenty-one when I was five and had always been my favorite person. My dad said that when I was two and just starting to talk, I would call Roman my night-night. He was prospecting for the club at the time. And when he made it to be a full brother, they named him Midnight for me. He's always been my night-night, though. I stopped going around the clubhouse because of bullying at school. At first, school was fine when I was younger. But the older that I got, the worse that it got, thanks to the school's mean girls. Once I got into high school, those girls all became cheerleaders. They thought that they ran the school. And because of that, they liked to bully and belittle those that they considered below them. When we were younger, a couple of those girls were my friends. Then we got to high school, and they became cheerleaders and turned mean and hateful towards me. Because I was a heavy-set girl, they liked to make fun of me for it. I saw nothing bad about my weight. I was five feet tall with long red hair with bright blue highlights. I had heterochromia, one blue eye and one light gray eye. I was a size fourteen (not telling my actual weight because we don't ask girls what they weigh), and I was very comfortable with it and how I looked. Because they were all size zeros and ones, they thought that anyone who was bigger was disgusting. But in my opinion, being so skinny that you can see your bones and you look anorexic is disgusting. I'd rather be considered fat instead of sickly thin. Not only that, but I love good food. I'm not a rabbit, and I refuse to live on salads only. Even with my ties to the MC, and the fact that I was a club princess didn't matter to them. They still continued to run their mouths and make fun of me. They even had boys try to ask me out just so that they could make fun of me when I would say yes, and then they either wouldn't show up. Or they would laugh at me and make fun of me for thinking that they actually wanted to go out with 'a cow like me.' Those are their words, not mine. After the second boy, I stopped falling for that crap. I actually gave up the notion of dating. When I was fifteen, one of the b***h brigade saw me out with Night-Night. It had been a rough day for me, and I just wanted a break from everything and everyone. When he works at the station, he works three days a week and has the rest of the week off. He was off that evening, and with mom working at the store with Nanna, I was at the Club with dad and the boys. I was sitting in the kitchen at a table finishing up my homework when he came in. He sat down and waited until I was done with it before asking me if I wanted to go get dinner. This was something that we did a few times a week until he started seeing his girlfriend that he had at the time. She didn't like that he spent so much time with me, so we stopped having our weekly dinners. But when he asked me to go that day, I went because I really just needed my friend. We went to the local diner like we use to. I loved going there to eat because there was an older ghost that sat at the counter. He was funny and liked to tell corny dad jokes. After we had eaten dinner, we got a milkshake to go. As we were leaving, the b***h brigade was coming through the door. When they saw me with Midnight, they started laughing and making fun of me for being out with him. They really embarrassed me when they said that I probably wished that it was a date. And that no one as hot as Midnight would ever date someone as fat as me. And if he did, it was probably out of pity. They kept saying other mean things, but I ignored them and continued out the door. That night was the last time that I saw or spoke to Midnight. On the way back to the clubhouse, he told me that his girlfriend didn't like the fact that he spent so much time with me. He didn't want to stop being my friend. But if he wanted things to work with her, then he had to stop hanging out with me. Since he was the only person other than my family that I spent any time with at the clubhouse, I stopped going around. It hurt that he was choosing her over our friendship. Especially since we had been friends since I was a baby. So I figured that not seeing him and staying away was the right thing to do. So when Mom had to work, I'd either stay alone or go to the shop with her. I spent the next three years making excuses not to go around the clubhouse. I would say that I had homework, or that I was going to hang out with Winnie and Ruby, my best friends. Anything to stay away from there. I didn't want to have to go there and be forced to watch who I thought was my friend with his girlfriend. Anytime that I was around her before our last dinner together, she would always give me dirty looks. She also liked to sneer at me, talk down to me, and make fun of me. So, staying home was the much better choice. In the free time that I now had, I had taken to writing books. My Nanna was the only one who knew that I was writing. I was at the shop one day, and it was slow, so I was writing. It was just her and I at the shop, and she saw me on my laptop writing the book. I told her about my writing book and not wanting to tell anyone. She helped me keep it a secret. She set up a checking account in my name with her as a secondary, but she was unable to withdraw money. It was just so that I would have an account for my money from my books. I decided to write under the pen name of Maple Eclipse. It was weird and unusual, but that worked for me. After all, I was weird and unusual as well. I started writing right before I turned sixteen. And when I turned eighteen, I already had four best sellers. I had made so much money from my books, thanks to Nanna. She had helped me find a great publishing house. And worked out a really good deal for my books. I decided to continue on with my writing, as well as work in the shop after I graduated from high school. At first, I didn't want to go to college, but I decided to do online schooling. I had plans to move out to our family property on the bayou. My Nanna's family owns a couple hundred acres of land deep in the bayou. After talking to Nanna about it, I decided to build a house and move out there. I hate dealing with people anymore and love nature. So it's the perfect solution for me. I already sat down with Dad and designed it how I wanted it. Most of the property is all swampy, but there is some land that would be perfect for a house. The spot where we are going to build on thankfully has water hookups and electricity on it. The only way to the land is by boat. The only other way that you can reach the land otherwise is by four-wheeler or side by sides. It's rough terrain, and the trees and brushes are all too close together and too thick to get a car through. I also don't want to disturb the land. The spot that we're going to build on is already clear. We have other areas that are accessible and easier to get to. Like the piece of property that Nanna and Pops live on. Where they live is closer to town. I want to live further out on the property so that I'm not close to anyone. I want my peace and quiet. I'll be able to park my car at Nanna and Pop's house and take my boat out to my house. I can't wait to be able to move out there. When we went out to check out the property, we found the perfect place to build my house. I didn't want to disturb any animal habitats. Thankfully, where we were going to put my house was ok. We wouldn't be disturbing anything. The spot was big enough for the size that I wanted my house. Dad even said that I'd have enough room for a greenhouse in the back. With dad having my brothers, my uncles, and cousins helping to build my house. It didn't take long to get it built. By the time that I graduated from high school, my house was done and ready to move into. It was also fully stocked with furniture and food. I had also moved most of my stuff out there as well. Thankfully, Dad and the boys helped me get everything moved. I couldn't wait to start my new life in my new house on the bayou. I would be away from everyone, including mean girls and ex-best friends. Yes, I would be living alone, but it would be peaceful. I would also have the animals to keep me company. I couldn't wait to start the next chapter of my journey. Let's hope that it ends up being a happier one. My name is Seneca Tempest Ledet, and this is my story.
