A girl's secret

Chapter 1

Today was my first day, the day I would train and earn my powers. I was terrified and excited at the same time. I got ready in my room and waited for the person who will be my ‘guide’ for the month or so until I get used to this kind of life. I heard a knock on my window and then the sound of the alarm disarming. Then a person entered with an African kind of mask.

“Is it time to go?” I ask looking at them. They nodded and gave me the clothes I was given the other day. Then they turned around to let me change into them. After getting changed we went out on the balcony and got down in front of me showing me their back.

“Climb on”

The moment I climb on his back he got up getting comfortable his hands on my thighs keeping me from falling off. Then he jumped with an inhuman dexterity and power. I almost screamed but instead I grabbed on him tighter. He landed on the house next to mime on the roof and stayed there for just a millisecond. And then he jumped to the next and then the next and then the next. And so he continued until we were on the roof of the organization headquarters.

He let me off his back and we went inside leading me in the meeting room where most of the leaders were there. I bowed and then stood up straight with my legs open to the length of my shoulders and my hands behind my back waiting for the orders.

“How did you sleep?” Leader-sama asked

“Good.” I replied unsure of what I should say.

“You shouldn’t get used to it. Mark my words little girl this would be your last resting night.” The one with the weird vibe said.

‘He reminds me of a snake naw they are to good maybe a worm or something or a leech.’

“Now now don’t make her uncomfortable.” An old woman said with a smile on her face.

“You shall be taken to a room were they will put inside you ‘the blood of the dead’, you will choose the blood. Then you will stay there for some hours to get used to your powers.” Grand master explained to me. I bowed and then the same guy from before lead me out.

We took the elevator and went down to the 5 basement. The door opened and I came face to face with a white hall like hospital place, it made me feel weird and scared. We walked by several doors, from one door someone was coming out I looked inside as the door closed to see something like glass in front of the door but it had ice all around it and inside there was a person sitting there looking down at his feet but then he looked up, his eyes blue like the deep sea glowing.

We continued going down the hall passing some people with lab coats or white clothes, doors closed or open with screams coming out of them and some with even blood. We reached a door with a symbol that said ‘Lab be careful’ on top. We entered and I saw two persons one my age and an other older one. The older was studying something and the youngest was standing there next to him looking as well. We started walking toward them but…

“Don’t move! Behind the line please can’t you see?!” He shouted at us not even turning.

“We came for her to choose a blood.” The professor turned to us, he was the image of a mad scientist. He was wearing some type of glasses I guess to see bigger or something. He had white crazy hair and I think a mustache. He came in front of my face and changed the loop he had on his glasses or something. I felt weird and lined back from him.

“Ummmm… Why didn’t you say it earlier! Now then I need to ask you some question and some may be personal.”

“I don’t mind.”

“Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.” He gave me a chair and grabbed a pen and a piece of paper. I sat down and he started.

“So what is your real name and birth date.”

“Niki Floraki and the 27th of May 2003.” He wrote down.

“Blood type and any condition.”

“A+ and I have none.” He wrote down.

“Have your s****l desires started? Were you ever been drown toward a religion or a being?”

“Yes and the Olympian gods and if we count the devil.”

“Do you have anger problems?”

“Yes.”

“A sister?”

“Yes.”

“Do you prefer animals over people?”

“Yes.”

He then looked at Marie with his eyebrows up and scrunched in concern.

“Marie dear bring me the D box blood.” He said quietly in contrary of his previous personality. I was getting nervous as we waited I played with my feet, changing the weigh from one to the other. The other two males were standing there quietly waiting too for Marie to bring the box.

When she came back she had an old box with different kind of substances not only in red color but also in black, green, blue, yellow, orange and even white.

“Choose one without looking but first pass your hand above all of them.” The doctor said bringing the box toward me.

I put my hand out and closed my eyes. I started hearing voices in my head and they changed each time I changed the vial I was above. Then at the second time when I went back to the begging I felt a tingle on my hand and then a shiver went down my spine. I continued and then I felt something cold on my open palm. I opened my eyes and saw that the phial of a black blood was stuck on my hand.

“My dear child. I just hope you can handle all of it.” He said as he took it off my palm.

Then Marie and my guide took me to a room like the ones we passed before. We entered one that had a sign of dangerous nuclear wast or something. There was a table lab in the room.

“I suggest you take off what you do not want to get dirty.” She said as she prepared the needle. I took off everything except the shorts I was wearing as underwear and the sports bra I had on. I layed down and waited for her to give me the shoot. She came and was trembling, I grabbed her arm and said…

“Don’t worry what ever you fear it won’t go anything wrong everything will be fine.”

“Just promise to keep it inside until I am completely out of the room and have the room secured.” I didn’t know what she meant at that time and just nodded. She attached restrains to keep me down all over my body.

She started inserting the needle piercing my skin making me tear up from the pain. I then felt the blood going in me. I closed my eyes trying to get rid of the pain. But it grew and grew, it felt like fire inside of me. I opened my eyes when I felt the needle going out of my skin. I saw Marie run out the door and then I look back to my skin. I saw my veins coming out and my skin turning black and red. I couldn't take it anymore I screamed got off the bed breaking the restrains and started trying to get something off me. That thing inside me it felt like it was eating me alive. Something came up to me and I started punching, kicking, scratching. My head hurt, my hands, my feet, my whole body was on fire and it felt like it was ripping apart. My skin moved inhumanly my bones started moving strangely, my everything moved and hurt. After an eternity it stopped finally, my body hadn’t changed but it still felt numb. I then got up walked to the door knocked on it.

“Hey the side effects stopped or what ever you want to call it. Can I go now or can someone come and check on me.”

As the days and weeks passed I started learning fire magic from the four main branches. You see for someone to practice different types of magic they need to atleast master the four main elements. Earth for the ones that are knuckleheads. Water for the ones that go with the flow. Air for the ones that are calm and collected. Fire for the ones that are driven by emotions.

It is my third month in this place, I have already got used to the magic and spirit animals. Which I can not wait to obtain in my own time of course. I got off the car and went inside the building and did the normal routine to go inside. I went to master Hishimaru office and knocked on the door softly but didn't get a response. Then I noticed the paper on the door that said to meet at the conference room.

I almost got worried that I did something bad but I pushed the thought to the back of my mind and started heading there. I got in and saw all the ‘big’ people there waiting for me. I gulped down my nervousness and went to stand on the center.

“Miss Skiofti we have taken a decision; Master Hishimaru told us that you are ready for the next step in our organization, to have a spirit animal inside of you.” After those words left his mouth I got excited finally I would get a spirit animal. I was proud of my self and replied.

“It will be my honor, sir.” I bowed

“Alright if anyone has something to say?” Everyone stayed silent but one of them the master of the panther clan wasn’t happy, I could see it.

“Follow me Skiofti.” Grand master got up trembling a little and everyone else got up too. We started walking, him in the front leading the way and me following behind him. We got to a room, a room I haven’t been able to be in cause it is always locked. No one has permission to enter without having the same authority as a grand master

Inside there were big statues around the room sculpted on the walls, under each one of them there was a scroll. Stairs went up to the walls to the ones we couldn't reach and we couldn't see the ceiling. We got on a platform that took us to the top. 

“Here take this box we will pass each animal and if you are interested in them you will put their scroll inside the box.” He told me giving me the box. I took it and we started walking down the stairs. At the end of them, I had one of a leopard, the one of a shark, one of dolphin, one of a wolf, one of a tiger, one of a horse and one of a cat’s.

Grand Master asked me to put them in places around to make a big circle and to step on the circle paddle on the center. As soon as I stepped on it lights went off around it at first it was blue then little by little they became red. They traveled through openings to the places where the scrolls were. Then went around them in the place of the scrolls stood all the animals that I choose but in a hologram like version. (Leo- Only one is the most majestic. Me- Leo hands of my hands)

“finally out of this s**t place!” The shark says while stretching out and levitating from the floor. He was a white one with blue eyes and some scars around it.

“Stop it we may be chosen.” The tiger says sitting down like a cat. He was a normal tiger but he acted like a cat more than a tiger

“Idiots.” The brown and black haired female cat says licking her paw. At that moment I was confused a lot. 

“You are confusing the poor girl.” The horse says almost motherly. She was brown, black and white with chocolate eyes.

“Guys stop talking like she can’t understand.” The leopard orders. He was clearly a leader, he was a normal leopard but had red eyes like fire mixed with blood. (I will take back the throne with fire and blood.)

“Please everyone calm down.” Grand Master said but the comments continued. I couldn't take it anymore.

“Everyone shut up!” I shouted fire exploding from me and every noise stopped.

“I am sorry for talking like this but enough already I have to find my spirit animal and sign the contract before my mother comes and take me. So either you like it or not, sorry, but I make the rules. I will tell a little bit about my self and you like it, good, you don’t, go.” I said taking deep breaths to calm my nerves down.

“I like her.” The shark says getting looks from the others.

“Look my code name is Kid of the devil. I like training and video games, tv and others. I dislike i***t people or bad ones. So anyone up for the job?” I ask looking at them each one for a second.

“I want to see your file first.” The wolf said. He was as white as snow and with red eyes. (Yes Ghost has finally friend zoned Jon Snow)

Grand Master took a scroll out of nowhere and a branch that came out of the grond

‘What the hell! What else am I going to see in here? Animals in giant form, scrolls coming out of nowhere and branches with minds?! The only thing I haven't seen is Mickey Mouse dancing twerk.’

The branch opened the scroll and showed to the wolf and then to the other animals. Until it went in front of the Leopard who just pushed away.

“Why don’t you want to read my file?” I asked him, I was curious because he was the only who didn’t read it.

“I don’t care for your record I care about your character only.”

It was then that I knew he was the one, the one to be my guardian, my partner, my spirit animal.

"Would you like to be my spirit animal? It will be my honor to have you as my partner."

“I would love that.” He replies just then a paper magically appeared, a contract. I put my hand up in front of it and started saying the words I have learned since day one in this place.

“I, Skiofti, Kid of the devil give my concept for you to be my spirit animal. To live inside me and to stay in there until both of us or you, want to change partners.” A hand-print appears on the side of the contract under my name. Then I feel something like a tremble go up my spine, but in just a moment it turned in a feeling of power. 

“Where would you like me to put my mark?”

“On my arm but I will need for you to not show it when we are in my normal life.”

“It won’t show except if you use your powers.”

“Which is not allowed to do.” The cat says sassily.

‘I almost forgot about them.’

“Thank you for coming here to see if you were chosen. It was wonderful to meet spirits animals.”

“Whatever kid.” The wolf says coldly

“At last Leonardo found his holder.” The tiger says

“Yeah who would have thought the last leopard got a newbie.'' 

“Hey she may be a newbie but she will become stronger, Kisame.”

And like that they went back to the scrolls which then got levitated to their places.

“Go home child, Both of you need to get to know each other. Have the day off." The Grand Master tells me. I thank him and Leo went inside me. I looked at my arm and saw a tattoo of a Leopard which I guess is the mark.

Having Leo inside me is one of the best things in my life. He is my best friend and we get along just right. We keep each other under control and are the shoulder for each other when something happened. He taught me how to use and control my other side and powers, he showed me ways to see life the past, the present and the future. We pass the good and bad moments together hand by hand keeping the head up straight facing all of it. After all, we are stuck with each other.
