My father’s voice boomed across the entire pack house, and everyone went still. I stood there, rooted on the doorstep. He could smell her human scent from far away, so easily.
I think I was getting an anxiety attack because suddenly my body felt very hot.
“Josh… Josh”, I heard someone calling my name.
“Josh… what’s happening to you?”, it's Miley’s worried voice.
Wait. My father will kill her. What was I thinking in bringing her here?
‘I told you to think about what you are doing. But no! You were so confident that father will at least hear you out once. Look at what you have done now. You have put our mate in danger’, Blake said in my head.
‘This is not going according to plan Blake. I’m worried. I’m worried for Miley. What if they hurt her?’, I asked Blake tensely.
