Chapter 1
Someone’s POV
“You’re so noisy.” One of my friends said
“Want some adventure?” The cold one said
“What kind of adventure?” I asked
“Well how about we transfer to a new school? Our parents have booked a flight already.” the kindest among us said
“Game.” We all agreed and went to our dorm rooms to pack up
So before I forgot my name is Amber Rainiellaine Lopez, I am 21 years old and I’m currently studying here in Red Fire Academy in New Jersey. Those girls earlier are my childhood best friends but often time we act like sisters.
Let’s start with the next youngest, Emerald Lana Jacinto she’s 23 years old, she’s also my classmate, the third youngest and eldest is Aquata Jade Horan who is also 23 years old, next is Diamond Icelle Serano and the eldest is Aira Pearl Antonio who is 24 years old. Would you believe that October 28 is Jade’s Birthday then the next day is Lana’s birthday? They are like twins because according to Jade’s Mom she was born at 11:55 PM then Lana was born exactly 12AM (according to her Mom).
“Rainiellaine let’s go.” The ever so Bossy Jade called me then I zipped my luggaeg and went out
Well technically our parents allow us to go wherever we want as long as we continue our studies and as long as we can graduate.
When we rode the cab, Aira paid the fare then we went to the airport. Good thing we are quarter and hour early so we went in the plane and luckily we all sit near each other but of course Lana and Jade are seated away from each other. Lana is sitting between me and Aira while Jade sits beside Icelle on the other row.
I closed my eyes and sleep.
GOOD BYE NEW JERSEY!!
I don’t know what country we’ll be landing in.
Why don’t I? Well I don’t really pay attention to such things.
FASTFORWARD—
“Rainiellaine..”
“Amber..”
“Amber Rainiellaine..”
I opened my eyes and I saw Aira, Jade and Lana looking at me
“Let’s go. We’re here.” Aira said and and I stood up and went to the arrival area, we took our luggage and went out
Gosh it’s so hot in here.
“So welcome to the Philippines.” Aira said and smiled at us
“It’s so hot here.” Lana said
“Well this might be an adventure.” I said and we went to the line of taxis
“Taxi ho?” he asked us
“Yes.” Aira answered
We loaded our luggages in two different taxis.
“So they planned this thoroughly, huh?” Lana told me
“I guess. They already have a house prepared.” I answered
“Mga ma’am saan po tayo?” the taxi driver asked
“Here.” I said and gave the paper that Aira told us is the address
While travelling we looked at the establishments we have passed.
Well we’ve been here during our teenage years but not that long.
I think we stayed here for half a year or less or more.
I don’t remember exactly.
“Hey, Aira e-mailed us our schedule in our new school.” Lana told me
I took my phone from my pouch and opened my e-mail.

“We have conflicting schedules.” Lana said
“What?” I asked her
“We only have classes together in Calculus, Economics and Marketing during Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.” She said
“Mga ma’am andito na po tayo.” The taxi man said so I took two dollars from my pouch and handed it to him..
He unloaded our luggages then drove away, I saw the other taxi driver that the other three rode did the same.
I opened the gate and we carried our luggages in.
Jade closed the gate when all of us are inside the house.
I chose the room with yellow door, Lana chose the blue one, Jade chose the room with violet door, orange for Aira and white for Icelle.
After I placed my clothes on the closet I went out.
I passed by their door since My room is at the end of the hallway and none of them chose the room opposite to mine.
I went to the living room and sat on the couch. They’re so slow when preparing their clothes.
“Girls.” Aira the eldest said to take our attention
“Anyways, since we already stayed here before, we still know some filipino words. We’re here to study to remind you.” She said and my eyes widened
“I left my bag.” Lana, Jade and I said in unison
*PLOK
“Ouch!” we all exclaimed when Icelle threw her chips on our foreheads
“So it seems that we have to buy school things since even me and Icelle left it.” Aira said and we went upstairs to get our purses.
I brought my phone and my wallet with debit card, just in case then I went downstairs.
We went to the garage and there is only one mini van.
“Who’ll drive?” I asked
“Aira!” we said and pointed Aira
“As usual.” Aira said and we road the van.
I placed my earphones and leaned on the seat. I played the music and looked at the places we pass by.
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Come on, come on
Ooh, ooh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Shalalalala, lalalala
Ooh, ooh
There you see her
Sitting there across the way
She don't got a lot to say
But there's something about her
And you don't know why
But you're dying to try
You wanna kiss the girl
Yes, you want her
Look at her, you know you do (yeah, yeah)
It's possible she wants you too
There is one way to ask her
It don't take a word, not a single word
Go on and kiss the girl (kiss the girl, girl)
Shalalalala, my oh my
Look at the boy's too shy
Ain't gonna kiss the girl
Shalalalala, ain't that sad
It is too bad, you're gonna miss the girl
Oh, oh, oh, oh
You're gonna miss the girl
Now's your moment
Floating in a blue lagoon
Boy, you better do it soon
No time will be better
She don't say a word
And she won't say a word
Until you kiss the girl, yeah, yeah
Shalalalala, don't be scared
You've got the mood prepared, go on and kiss the girl
Shalalalala, don't stop now
Don't try to hide it how you wanna kiss the girl
Shalalalala float along
And listen to the song, song say kiss the girl
Shalalalala, let the music play
So what the music say, you gotta kiss the girl, kiss the girl
Yes, you want her
Look at her, you know you do
Possible she wants you too
There's one way to ask her
(One way to ask her, one way to ask her)
Boy you better do it soon (oh)
No time will be better (no time, no time)
It don't take a word, not a single word
Go on and kiss the girl (oh)
Kiss the girl, yeah
Shalalalala, don't be scared
You've got the mood prepared, go on and kiss the girl
Shalalalala, don't stop now
Don't try to hide it how you wanna kiss the girl
Shalalalala float along
And listen to the song, song say kiss the girl
Shalalalala, let the music play
So what the music say, you gotta kiss the girl, kiss the girl
You gotta kiss the girl
You wanna kiss the girl?
(You gotta kiss the girl)
Go on and kiss the girl
I removed my earphones when we arrived at the mall. Well Aira knows many shortcuts since she know how much I hate sitting at a car for a long time.
When we got out of the car, we entered the mall as usual like in the States we’re head turners.
‘OMO Goddesses.’
‘Lamang lang sila ng ilang paligo.’
‘Ang gaganda naman nila.’
‘How to be you po?”
‘Beautiful.’
‘Bitches.’
‘Attention seekers.’
‘Famewh*ores’
Psh. Insecure bitches.
I mentally rolled my eyes and walked alongside them.
We went to the National Bookstore and separated ways.
I went to the binders section and was about to get a notebook but someone bumped into me. I stepped back when I almost lost my balance and bumped into someone else. He helped me regain my balance.
“Sorry.” I apologized but he ignored me and left.
Snob.
I took the yellow binder and placed it n my basket then I took a set of fillers then I went to the pens section and bought 5 black pens, 2 blue pens, 1 red pen, 2 green pen.
I also bought Art Materials like a set of 64 poster paints, 64 set of coloring materials, a box of pencils, Sketchpad, etc., correction tape, tape, packing tape, adhesive tape, electrical tape, calculator, set of rulers, pouch for the pens, Bag.
I paid for it and waited for them outside the store then we went to the Food Court. We ate in silence until Aira decided to break it.
“I bought glasses.” Aira said
“What for?” Jade asked
“Well we have to study here until we graduate so we have to stay out of trouble. Makakatulong ang eyeglasses na manatili tayong low profile.” Aira explained
“How?” Lana asked
“Magigi tayong nerd like. People our age these days makakita lang ng nakasalamin nerd na agad.” Aira said
“But Aira what about us?” Lana asked
“I bought one for all of us.” She answered
“Does this mean, kailangan rin namin magtagalog?” I asked already speaking in Filipino
Icelle and Aira nodded and the three of us (Jade, Lana, Rainiellaine) sighed in defeat.
“Do we have a choice? Para namang may magagawa pa kami.” Jade mumbled
When we finished eating we went to the parking lot and I saw the guy who helped me earlier.
I went to his direction and I saw that he is with several guys.
“You’re the guy earlier. Thanks for your help.” I said when I approached him
“It’s nothing.” He said
“Amber, Let’s go!” I heard Jade called me
“See you when I see you.” I said and went to their direction and rode the car
“Who’s that?” Aira asked while driving
She isn’t taking any shortcut meaning they want to know something.
“Well he helped me earlier. Muntik na ako matumba but he helped me.” I answered
