Axel’s POV The yelling had stopped, but I could still feel the tension looming around in the house. I hadn’t meant to listen—Brian’s temper was nothing new, and Cassandra’s sharp tongue had a way of lighting a fuse in him like no one else could. I usually stayed out of it, let them deal with their drama. But tonight… tonight was different. My wolf hearings made it quite difficult to ignore the shouting, the insults they threw at each other.
